A Nigerian lady has gained a lot of attention from fans on Facebook after she shared an epic makeover which she did on herself.

The beautiful make up artist identified as Richard Jane on Facebook, tested her make-up skills on herself to look like popular Nigerian artiste, Tiwa Savage.


Sharing photos from the makeover, the young lady said she just wanted to try out painting her face like a female for the first time.

Nigerians react to video of Regina Daniels and her staff who was pushed into a pool

Nigerians have reacted to the viral video on social media which saw Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels pushing her domestic staff into a swimming pool.

The video was recorded during Regina's baby shower the actress, while clearing the air noted that 'pregnancy hormones' made her overreact.

However, some Nigerians frowned at her action and blamed the actress for being unable to control her temper.

One social media user commented'

"Hustle ooo…make one small gal wey u senior no de push u inside water".

Immortal Joseph wrote;

Max FM OAP, Iya Jogbo of "wetin Dey" is dead

A popular Max FM Lagos radio presenter, Emmanuella Pobeni Adepoju, popularly known as Iya Jogbo, is dead.

According to the management of TVC Communications, owners of TVC, TVC News and Max FM Lagos and Abuja, Iya Jogbo died on Friday after a brief illness from bronchitis and an enlarged heart.

She was popular for her witty character on Max FM's 'Wetin Dey show' alongside Walepowpowpow and Obus.

The Chief Executive Officer of TVC Communications, Andrew Hanlon, said the terribly sad news of Emmanuella's passing sent a shock wave of grief and sorrow throughout the TVC Communications, and MAX FM family.

"Whilst we struggle to come to terms with her untimely passing, our hearts and minds are focused solely on her beloved children and her immediate and extended family and friends.

"Emmanuella's presence will be with us forever as she leaves a legacy of enormous talent and spirit from the almost 10 years she spent with the company as a key member of the much loved Wetin Dey show on Max FM.

"She will be deeply missed by us all and by her many thousands of fans who tuned in to hear her unique broadcasts every day," Hanlon said.


She ventured into broadcasting in 1995, whilst on an internship at Radio Lagos by reading the news and presenting Radio Lagos Global Focus.

She was also an accomplished voice-over artist whose career began at the defunct Clapperboard. She presented the 'Shoppers Guide' in English and Yoruba (Karakata).

She had four children.

A video making the rounds on social media has captured the moment Regina Daniels angrily pushed one of their domestic workers into a pool.

The incident occurred during the latest episode of her "Our Circle" reality show

In the video which was recorded during Regina Daniels baby shower, the new mom could be seen arguing with one of her domestic workers near a swimming pool.


As the argument heated up, Regina flared up and pushed her into the pool.

However, Regina Daniels later explained that 'Pregnancy Hormones' got to her and apologised for her action. She also said she does not like when things do not go he way.

China And Russia Are ‘Developing Deadly Drones Which Attack Without Human Approval’

The warning from the Pentagon comes as both countries look to bring through new artificial intelligence-enabled surveillance technologies to keep tabs on their populations

China and Russia are both developing autonomous drones with the potential to kill without any human involvement, US military chiefs have warned.

Pentagon leaders in charge of America's military applications of artificial intelligence claim both countries are ignoring the ethical limits or considerations regarding the use of such drones

Artificial intelligence is increasingly being used in both civilian and military operations. The comments came from Nand Mulchandani, Acting Director of the Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, according to a Pentagon transcript.

"We know that China and Russia are developing and exporting AI-enabled surveillance technologies and autonomous combat systems without providing any evidence of adequate technical or ethical safeguards and policies," he told reporters.

Mulchandani highlighted China's use of AI for domestic policing issues such as censorship and facial recognition, but also warned of many military applications which are causing alarm.

This month in China, for instance, officials deployed drones to fight locust swarms in ravaged farmland.

He said certain ethical constraints may not exist for Russian or Chinese weapons developers, who could quickly leverage different kinds of warfighting robots.

For example, armed drones could advance on enemy soldiers without needing a human to operate them, and use built-in sensors to avoid obstacles, find targets and even fire weapons autonomously.

National Interest reports the Pentagon has continued to use its existing so-called "man-in-the-loop" doctrine. This means that all decisions regarding the use of lethal force by unmanned vehicles, drones and other systems must be made by a human being.

Rapid advances in autonomy and AI make it possible for such systems to detect, track, and destroy targets without any human involvement at all.

As well as the ethical issues regarding using autonomous systems to kill, there are also technical reasons why the Pentagon insists on human involvement.

An AI system is only as effective as its database, meaning certain algorithms may not yet have sufficient reliability to accurately identify everything that is detected.

In addition, enemies can work to "spoof" or "confuse" certain sensing algorithms.

US military scientists and AI developers often explain there are a few defensive uses of AI, which could be used to fire interceptors and detect and destroy incoming rockets, missiles, artillery or drones.

These applications, while already under development in areas such as ballistic missile interceptors and drone swarm defence, are not the same as offensive uses of lethal force against enemies.

U.S. Court Dismisses Fraud Case Against Woodberry

A United States court has dismissed the case against Olalekan Ponle, a Nigerian accused of multi-million dollar wire fraud.

Mr Ponle, popularly known as Woodberry, was arrested, alongside Ramon Abbas (Hushpuppi) in the United Arab Emirate on June 10 for multiple fraud charges after a raid by operatives of the Dubai crime unit.

The duo were extradited to the U.S. on July 2.

According to the complaint against Mr Ponle, an unnamed Chicago company was tricked into sending wire transfers totalling $15.2 million.

Companies based in Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, New York and California also were victims of the fraud, prosecutors say.

PREMIUM TIMES reported how the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) nabbed Mr Ponle through details accessed from his WhatsApp, iPhone and Bitcoin transactions. He was extradited to the United States on July 2.

The 29-year-old was facing charges bordering on wire fraud conspiracy at a United States District Court in Illinois.

In fact, a report of the grand jury, a group of lawyers empowered to conduct legal proceedings and investigate potential criminal conduct, indicted him.

The jury summed up the allegations against him to an eight-count charge of wire fraud, which violates section 1343 of the United States Codes.

The United States government on Monday filed a motion through its attorney, John R. Lausch, requesting that the case against Mr Ponle should be dismissed without prejudice.

"Counsel for the government has spoken with counsel for the defendant and defendant's
counsel has no objection to this motion.
Respectfully submitted," Mr Lausch stated.

He said it is in pursuant with Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure 48, which states that the government may, with leave of court, dismiss an indictment, information, or complaint.

Also, the government may not dismiss the prosecution during trial without the defendant's consent.
A court order issued by Judge Robert W. Gettleman on Tuesday, said the government's motion to dismiss complaint without prejudice was granted.

"Without objection the complaint against defendant Ponle is dismissed without prejudice. Motion presentment hearing set for 7/23/2020 is stricken," Mr Gettleman ruled.

When a case is dismissed with prejudice, it is over and done with, once and for all, and can't be brought back to court.

However, when it is dismissed without prejudice, like in the case of Mr Ponle, the dismissal is temporary as the prosecutor can refile the case within a certain period of time.

The probable causes of dismissal range from unavailability of sufficient evidence, an improper criminal complaint or charging document, to loss of evidence necessary to prove the defendant committed the crime.

While PREMIUM TIMES is yet to obtain the reason for the dismissal against Mr Ponle, there are indications that the prosecutor will re-file a case against him.

He is yet to be released from detention at the time of this report.

#BBNaija2020: housemates lose day 4 wager’s challenge, Nengi misses a point to save Ozo

Day four of Big Brother Naija Lockdown is proving to be more eye-opening than we may have bargained for.

Since the show's opening night, housemates have been encouraged to get to know themselves ahead of today's wager game. Big Brother offered a special treat to the team to successfully hit 30 points. Disappointingly, some housemates were too involved in the cuddling business to pay attention to discovering other housemates.

The wager challenge ended with none of the teams reaching 30 points. The female team, however, led the male team with 10 points which could have been more had Nengi not missed a point for her love.

Although their winning chances remained slim, Nengi's loss, which was in a bid to help Ozo with his question, was a particularly hard pill to swallow.

Before the evening task, Nengi made history as one of the first Lockdown housemates to sign an inmate into the friend zone correctional centre after squashing what would have been a moment between her and Trickytee with a comment about how he would remain in the house for his comical features.

The housemates had a few things to get off their chest regarding co-housemate, Erica and the tone of their voices was proof enough that their conversation was anything noble.

Influencer Adeherself released after meeting bail conditions

Social media Influencer, Adedamola Adewale popularly known as Adeherself, who was arrested alongside four others by the EFCC, on the 16th of June, for internet fraud, has been released.

Adeherself must have met her bail condition to have been released following last night's IG live via her mum's Instagram where she was seen.

Recall that on Wednesday July 15th, she was granted N500,000 bail by an Ikeja Special Offences Court in which she was ordered to provide two sureties with reliable means of income which would be verified by the court. Justice Sherifat Solebo adjourned the case until August 5 for substantive hearing.


The defendant, who had been in the custody of the EFCC following her arraignment in court on July 7, is facing a charge of possession of a fraudulent document.

According to EFCC counsel, Samuel Daji, the defendant was arrested following intelligence received by the EFCC on the activities of some young men allegedly involved in internet fraud in the Lekki axis of Lagos.

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage is now allegedly dating a member of Davido's DMW crew after she reportedly ditched her "MaLo" Wizkid.

Recall that Tiwa Savage did not make posts for Wizkid when starboy celebrated his 30th birthday recently and Nigerians mocked them saying "their robo-ske-ske-robo-ske has ended".

An excited Nigerian man who just welcomed a newborn baby has bought his wife a brand new Mercedes Benz car as a "push gift".

The man Identified as Ishola Omo Adisa on Instagram, acquired an expensive automobile as 'push gift' for his wife who gave birth to their child.

He shared a video and photo of the new car on his Instagram page.

The young man took to his Instagram page to share a video of the moment he gifted her with the Mercedes ride worth millions of naira.

Lai Mohammed allegedly asks NBC to stop #BBNaija ‘over COVID-19’

Citing fears of a possible spread of COVID-19 among inmates, Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, has asked the Nigerian Broadcasting Commission (NBC) to take Big Brother Naija (BBN) off the air, TheCable reports.

The reality show, which entered its fifth season on July 20, is one of the most watched programmes on cable TV in Nigeria.

On Wednesday, Armstrong Idachaba, acting director-general of the NBC, told senior management members that he had been directed by the minister to shut down the show, TheCable learnt.

The commission was to use fears of spread of COVID-19 as the reason, citing directives from the presidential task force (PTF), insiders said.


Mohammed reportedly wanted the letter shutting down the show to come from the NBC because of the general opinion that he is bent on sending MultiChoice Ltd, producers of the show, out of Nigeria.

He is believed to have launched political moves against MultiChoice in order to pave the way for his main consultant to make a return to Pay TV after previously failing.

However, according to TheCable, insiders said that the NBC management was not well disposed to the move to shut down BBN, with some of them saying there was no basis for it.

A director is said to have reminded the meeting that NBC had already sought explanation from Multichoice on a possible violation of COVID-19 protocols with the airing of the show.

The letter was sent on July 1, before the show began.

MultiChoice replied with detailed explanations on measures taken in collaboration with the Lagos state government, whose agency, Lagos State Safety Commission, gave the green light for the show.

Also, MultiChoice said in the letter that housemates had been screened prior to the show and that the BBN House had been decontaminated and adapted to ensure sufficient physical distancing, in addition to eliminating the use of live audience.

All inmates went through a mandatory two-week isolation during which COVID-19 symptoms would have manifested if they had the disease.

Meanwhile, Idachaba, in his response to TheCable, simply said BBN will not be taken off air but did not provide any further information.
