Looking for a way to get involved this election season?

Posted: 20 Aug 2020 08:03 AM PDT

Looking for a way to get involved this election season? Check out these great ways to be part of the process!

Serve as an Election Judge, Challenger/Watcher, or Registration Volunteer for the State of Maryland Board of Elections

Election Judges - Without them, there would be no elections! Election judges are the individuals who check in voters, provide instructions and answer questions, and generally monitor the activities in the polling place. This is a PAID role. Must be a registered voter in Maryland.

Challengers and Watchers - Make sure that voting procedures are being followed and people are treated fairly! These authorized individuals can be in early voting vote centers and polling places and observe activities.

Voter Registration - Do you want to help register people to vote? Voter registration distributors are trained to assist people with registering to vote and delivering completed applications to a county board of elections.

Serve in the TerpsVote Voting Ambassador Program

TerpsVote Voting Ambassadors are UMD students who are passionate about engaging their peers in the voting process for the Fall 2020 election. Voting Ambassadors will be knowledgeable about the voting procedures for college students and will serve as a resource to their peers to help promote voting. Participate in this program remotely from wherever you reside! The program will run from September 20 - November 7, 2020.
