| Mysterious Cube With Strange Inscription Discovered By Magnet Fisherman In River Sowe Posted: 04 Aug 2020 02:12 AM PDT On May 2020, Will Read (38), from Finham in South Coventry discovered 60 unusual cubes which made of lead and has some kind of inscriptions or symbols on it, while he was scouring the area for precious metals using magnet with his sons. Soon after that, he posted on his facebook page to find any valuable information from his followers regarding the mysterious cubes .  River Sowe (Image Credit: Wikipedia ) At first, Mr Read thought the cubes were just random pieces of debris littering the bottom of the River Sowe in South Coventry. The River Sowe is a river in Warwickshire and West Midlands, England. It is a tributary of the River Avon, and flows into it just south of Stoneleigh about 5 miles (8 km) south of Coventry. It is about 12 miles (19 km) long. After he clean it up and taking a closer look at the cubes, Mr Read and his two sons, Jackson (5) and Benjamin (7) noticed neat inscriptions were engraved in grids on either side. Sanskrit is the ritual language related to Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. The cubes also show the mystical diagrams which are used for worship. These diagrams are termed as 'yantra'. He proposed the Indian/Hindu possibility: "…they contain a numerical formula to summon the protection of Rahu, described by the Shrivinayaka Astrology website as a planet with God-like powers. Rahu's sphere of control includes thieves, magicians, snakes, poison, jails and isolated places, according to the resource." Eventually, though, the general consensus seems to be that they're Indian in origin and used for prayer or ritual which leads to them being thrown into running water. It was believed that worshippers who placed the "magic cube" into running water would receive Rahu's protection from hidden enemies, wrong diagnosis of illness, and deceit. However, the puzzle is from complete, as no one has been able to put a date on the objects or to explain why so many would end up being thrown into a quiet river in Coventry. Mr Read added: "The more I learn the stranger it becomes. "No one can explain why there would be so many of these cubes in one place. "It feels incredibly unusual to have found so many. "I will get them appraised to find out more about what they are and how much they are worth." Sources:  |
