Nse Ikpe-Etim features in Kemi Adetiba’s “King Of Boys 2”

Popular Nigerian actress Nse Ikpe-Etim is part of the cast for award winning Nollywood film King Of Boys by Kemi Adetiba.

Etim started acting on stage at the university at 18. Her first TV appearance was in the family soap 'Inheritance.' She came back with Emem Isong's Reloaded alongside Ramsey Nouah, Rita Dominic, Ini Edo and Desmond Elliot in 2008, which made her prominent.

The upcoming sequel features Temitope Olowoniyan who will play the role of Aisha Banjo, Amanda Oruh, Jide Oyegbile, and Nse Ikpe-Etim as the First Lady of Lagos, H.E Mrs Jumoke Randle.

Pete Edochie, others in trouble as Islamic group petitions IGP over movie portraying them as terrorists

Upcoming Nollywood movie, 'Fatal Arrogance' starring Pete Edochie, Destiny Etiko, has attracted the wrath of the Shiite Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN).

According to the Islamic sect, the movie produced and directed by Anosike Kingsley Orji depicts their movement as a terrorist organisation bent on eradicating the Nigerian State.

The movie plot revolves around the incident between the Shiite Sect and the convoy of the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai in Kaduna. The incident led to the killing of over 1,000 members of the sect including children of its leader Sheik El-Zakzaky.

Recall that Zakzaky himself and his wife have been in prison since the incident while the Kaduna State government proscribed the group. This has been the basis for the deadly protests by members of the sect in Abuja and Kaduna, calling for the release of their leader and his wife.

The new Nollywood movie portrayed men of the Nigerian Army who carried out the massacre of the Shiite members, sparking outrage from members of the group who petitioned the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu as well as the National Film and Video Censors Board.

The group also noted that the movie's storyline is not a coincidence as its title was gotten from a book "Fatal Arrogance" written by Kuanum Terrence and both convey same plot.

In a statement issued on Thursday, 10th September, the President of the Media forum for the Shiite group, Ibrahim Musa alleged that the movie which was capable of causing disunity in the country was being sponsored by the Nigerian Army.

Excerpts from the statement read…

"The Islamic Movement in Nigeria wishes to call upon the respected professionals of Nollywood to address this issue immediately.

"If film producers are not careful, some disgruntled elements in governance will make them side with the oppressors against the oppressed as the film "Fatal Arrogance" is meant to achieve. Genocide is involved here; any move to justify the brutal and inhuman Zaria genocide of December 2015 is an affront on the Rome Status of the International Criminal Court.

"Evidently, for every Nigerian, these clips are meant to disparage the peaceful movement and portray it to the world as a violent armed movement.

Also, the movie on the pipeline has the same title as Kuanum Terrence's book that died on its arrival, where he blamed the victims of terror for being their own nemesis. He had launched what he called a book titled 'Fatal Arrogance: How El-Zakzaky Hypnotised IMN Members into Killing Themselves while Protecting Him'. As ridiculous as the name may sound, the content is not far from that too.

The IMN stated that the movie was capable of creating conflicts and discord in an already divided country.

"We want the world, Nigerians in particular, to bear witness that this film, 'Fatal Arrogance', can be used in creating conflicts among our diverse communities. It is a propaganda machine that can deceive millions, and it's also an easy way to use for character assassination."
 
"It can be used to distort the truth, free criminals and blame the victims as well as making the bad guys the good guys. We, therefore, call on well-meaning Nigerians to put pressure on the producers of that abominable film to stop it."

BBNaija star, Mike Edwards has served us some father and son goals as he sings for his newborn son, Matthew in new adorable video.

Mike shared the heartwarming video yesterday, September 11, via his official page on Instagram.

In the lovely video, Mike wrapped his newly born son, Matthew Olaoluwa Edwards in his arms and sang for him.

"Don't you cry cos you're my big boy", part of the lyrics from the song says.

Mike then asked his fans if he should sing Teni's song "case" for him and many took to his comment section to air their opinion.

Recall that Mike Edwards and his wife, Perri Shakes Drayton welcome their first child in a water birth process in London, UK.

In a photo sighted online, the two were seen alongside one other girl doing the 'FEM' sign using their hand to cover their mouth with the 'FEM' written at their back.

Obviously their mothers are going to be aware of it and the possibility of them being the mastermind behind this is very high as a way of promoting their baby daddy.


Chioma Avril who is Davido's current girlfriend has also promoted his song by posting it on her social media handle and this is how Imade and Hailey also promoted their father.

BBNaija2020: Here’s what caused the fight between Nengi and Vee

The brewing sismance between Nengi and Vee is under threat as Nengi blew up last night over a sarcastic comment Vee made about her and Ozo.

Ozo, Laycon and Vee found themselves in the same group for the Patricia Bitcoin task but Ozo was seen to be the weak one on the team as he left them in the middle of the rehearsal to be with his love interest, Nengi.

Reacting to the outcome of the result that saw their opposing team win the task, Vee said Ozo's unseriousness with the task was the reason they lost. Nengi felt that was harsh and flared up though Vee had claimed it was sarcasm and she never meant what she said.

Nengi's anger stems from the fact that she also found Neo with Vee when he was supposed to be with them to rehearse their wager task presentation.

It is not clear if the sismance between the two ladies is over as they never uttered a word to each other after that unpleasant reactions.

Recall that Erica during live eviction which had Tolanibaj exit the house, revealed that Tolanibaj is interested in Neo.

This caused tension in the house as Vee thought Tolanibaj and her were good friends and was disappointed that she would want to steal her man.

When asked if she would reconcile with Tolanibaj outside the house, Vee told Kiddwaya and Prince that she would need to have a discussion with Tolanibaj once she is out of the house before she determines whether they would be cool friends again.

Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) Records signee, Peruzzi has taken a swipe at haters prior to the release of his label boss, Davido's new song, 'FEM' today, Thursday, September 10.

In his latest tweet, Peruzzi told trolls and haters to go offline if they don't like David or they can as well pay Goliath a visit.

In his words,

After over three months of staying away from social media, Davido has announced he's returning today with a hit song.

The multi award-winning singer made this announcement today, September 10 via his friend, Cubana Chief Priest's Instagram page.

Recall that on the 3rd of June this year, Davido took to Instagram to inform millions of his followers that he would be leaving social media till whenever he drops his new album, A Better Time.


In the new video shared by self styled celebrity barman, Davido announced that he will be back to social media today with a hit song titled "Femme".

Multichoice Boss reveals that BBNaija Reality Show Production Gulps N3.5 Billion

The Managing Director of Multichoice, John Ugbe has revealed that the production of this year's Big Brother Naija cost the company a whooping N3.5 billion.

Ugbe made the revelation at the ongoing Multichoice Showcase 2020 holding via Zoom.

Popular Nigerian Instagram comedian, Broda Shaggi has revealed he's depressed after a lady said his comedy skits are not funny.

The sensational comedian whose real name is Samuel Perry disclosed this yesterday, September 9, via his official Twitter page.

Recall that few days ago, a twitter user said the comedian's skits are not funny and are unnecessarily too long.

The Twitter user identified as Irunnia went on to suggest he should consider acting full time, adding tha the comedian will be better as a full time actor than a comedian.

Responding to the tweet, Broda Shaggi has now claimed the post left him depressed for days.

Popular Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage's son, Jamil Balogun has declared Davido his favourite singer in the whole wide world.

Tiwa Savage shared the adorable video of her son via her official Instagram page today, September 10.

In the video, Tiwa Savage asked her son "Jam Jam" who his favourite singer in the whole world is, and the little boy named Tiwa Savage (his mom) and Davido.


His mom then asked him another but similar question, "who's your No.1?", and he reiterated "Tiwa Savage and Davido".

When his mum asked him "what's your mum's favourite song?", he said "Koroba".
