Media personality, Toke Makinwa has said that she likes spending money when she's bored.The self-acclaimed 'Baby girl for life' took to her Instagram story to say that retail therapy is healing to her soul.She went further to pray to God to keep blessing and providing for her so she never lacks to do the things that make her happy. "Retail therapy is healing to my soul. God pls keep blessing your daughter cos when I am sad i like to spend money. I am tired of the usual? I like to spend money. Bored? I like to spend money" she wrote.   |
| Burna Boy’s album goes silver in UK and his track “Own It” goes platinum 2x Posted: 21 Sep 2020 12:30 AM PDT  Ace Nigerian afrobeats singer, Burna Boy's African Giant album has gone Silver in UK and his song, "Own It" has now gone Platinum for the second time.The singer disclosed this in a post he shared on his official Instagram page yesterday, September 19.  According to him, African Giant has gone Silver in the UK and in addition to it, his song with UK singer, Stormzy, "Own It" has hit Platinum for the second time.  Taking to his Instagram page to make this announcement, Burna Boy wrote… "AFRICAN GIANT SILVER IN THE UK & OWN IT X2 PLATINUM . Shouts to my brudda Stormzy and love to everyone that supports us. 'Pepper Dem,' featuring Angeloh, is the first single from RIKIKI, his forthcoming extended play due to arrive on October 2."I'm at a place where I'm very confident in who I am, no matter how others might feel about it and it has taken me quite a long time to get here," Shopé says. "I decided to apply that confidence to a love story because I know real, unconditional love is extremely hard to find. But when you know, you know!" | Edo State Governorship Election 2020: Incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki wins Posted: 20 Sep 2020 03:47 PM PDT  Governor, Godwin Obaseki who is the sitting Governor of Edo State, under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has won the Edo State Guber election, held yesterday, the 19th of September, 2020.According to all the collation of the election results, the PDP candidate defeated his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress with a total of 307,857, while Ize-Iyamu pooled a total of 223,622.The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has officially declared Godwin Obaseki winner of the race.The results collated in 18 LGAs early Sunday, show that PDP won in 15 of the 18 LGAs.

| Intending 'Broke' Billionaire gives away his entire N3trillion fortune as he prepares to die Poor Posted: 20 Sep 2020 03:30 AM PDT  Irish billionaire Chuck Feeney, 89, is officially broke as he has given away $8 billion(N3tn) to charities, universities and organisations worldwide via his foundation, the Atlantic Philanthropies, Forbes Magazine reports.The report stated that Feeney, reached his billionaire status by co-founding airport retailer Duty Free Shoppers. The business man was popular for leading the way with lifestyle of giving. The report suggests he believed in the idea of 'Giving While Living'. The idea encourages philanthropists to spend all their money during their own life-time to have better control over its use. In a pre-interview with Forbes, the business tycoon said that he was, in fact, very satisfied. Under his Giving While Living vision, he has been able to do some hands-on charity and did not have to rely on funding a foundation post-death. The billionaire added that he learned a lot along his journey and the idea of why not give it all (the wealth) away had struck as very appealing to him. He wanted to do it under his watch. Cardi B says Offset is not expecting a child with another woman.The rapper and her team have shut down those rumours insisting that there is no other child involved.PageSix reports that Cardi B is rather thinking of handling the divorce amicably."There is no other child. No baby is on the way. That rumor is super false. Cardi is thinking of her child and wants everything to be amicable. She's evolved over the years and continues to," the report said. The report also said that Cardi B had the legal documents amended after learning they originally requested primary physical custody of their 2-year-old daughter, Kulture, for her. | BBNaija2020: Prince reveals desire to join politics in future says ‘He may run for president’ Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:30 AM PDT  Evicted BBNaija 'Lockdown' housemate, Prince Nelson Enwerem has opened up on his journey into the Big Brother Naija house and some interesting facts about his life.Prince who had contested in some pageants revealed he is a Pure Physics graduate from the University of Calabar.Explaining how he delved into entertainment despite having a science background, he said:"I like science, I like to study stuff and read a whole lot on a normal day. The whole modelling and acting was a passion i had. I always wanted to be on TV. So I was like, why can't I do both? I don't have to use my degree. The way the world is going now, you can make money off your talent. Entertainment was a passion I had and I'm happy I'm living the dream now."Prince whose calm and collected nature in the house earned him the love of many people pointed out that it wasn't a strategy for him as he was simply being himself during his time in the house. "Me in the house was 100% per cent who I am. I didn't go in there with any strategy because one thing I learnt from watching this show over the years is fact that you don't want to go into the house with a strategy. You can't pretend for that long. Someway, somehow, you'll slip up. "And if you leave the house, you'll have to continue with whatever character you portrayed in the house. So for me, I was 100% myself in the house. My friends and family know this. I'm the same person in the house that I was even before I went into the house." If there was anything that made Prince stand out more in the house other than his calm nature and love for durags, it was definitely his exceptional skill in hairstyling. He revealed that he learnt the skill a year before he gained admission into the university. According to him, the decision to learn hairstyling came from his need to learn new stuff and not because he wanted to monetize it. "For me, I like to learn new stuff. Not just science but random stuff cuz i hate being bored. Back in 2012 when I was looking for admission and hadn't gotten. I had another year to stay at home so I decided to get the training by working in a salon for a year before I got admission. I also learnt makeup from my sister. I was just learning it at the time for the sake of it and not to use it." About plans to open a hair fashion empire: "I never gave it a thought then but right now, seeing the opportunity that it's going to bring my way, I'll definitely go into it and I'm going to do it well." Prince who started a relationship with Tolani Baj in the house explained that he liked her person and her vibe. Prince stated that she was a very confident person, she knew who she was and that attracted him to her. "And we could have intellectual conversations," he added. Prince also opened up on his future plans. He said he sees himself running for president as the world needs young leaders. He also wants to go into agriculture amongst other things. "Acting, hosting, agriculture, and focus on clothing line I started before going into the house. In the future, I'll like to go into politics. I have a lot planned."  |
| Deji Adeyanju Debunks Domestic Abuse Rumors, Blames Femi Fani-Kayode’s Wife for Separation Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:00 AM PDT  Human rights activists and Convener of Concerned Nigerians Group, Deji Adeyanju who is a close confident of former minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode yesterday in a series of tweets debunked the rumors making the round that domestic violence was responsible for the separation of FFK and his wife Precious Chikwendu saying the story was planted by her after their marriage crashed.Social media was agog with several reactions of the duo's separation until Deji Adeyanju wrote a series of tweets on Twitter about what really happened.Deji took to Twitter to ask Precious when and how did FFK abuse her, if the abuse happened when she was pregnant or when her siblings and family members were living. He said her family members were always around in FFK's home. |
