Nigerian Lady says, Erica’s Disqualification Shows Disadvantage Of Being Raised By A Single Mom

A Nigerian lady by name Ita, has attacked disqualified housemate Erica, saying her experience in the house shows the disadvantages of being raised by a single mother.

Erica was disqualified for her volatile behaviour following Saturday night's party. She verbally attacked Laycon and body-shamed him. She also disrespected the Head of House lounge by pouring water on the Deputy Head of House, Prince's side of the bed.

Erica, who already had two strikes, was issued a third and final strike and she was disqualified.

Ita, while celebrating Erica's eviction, stated that girls raised by single mothers are of bad behavior and should be avoided.

"Erica is a prove that you must run far from girls raised by single mothers", Ita tweeted

The wait is finally over! And we are sure you're eager to watch the official teaser for "Citation", produced and directed by the award-winning filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan.

The movie is created to correct one of the greatest ills – rape and sexual molestation – which affects the educational system and indeed societies around the world. Citation is not just a movie, but a message focused on educating students on ways they can tackle sexual-based crimes in the universities.


The film narrates the ordeals faced by a female postgraduate student, Moremi Oluwa (Temi Otedola) who is forced to find a way to deal with an awkward situation of sexual harassment from a popular male lecturer, Prof. Lucien Nd'yara (Jimmy-Jean Louis).

Recently, Ibukun Awosika the Chairman of First Bank of Nigeria was unveiled as a cast in the upcoming movie. Ibukun Awosika plays the role of the dean of a university faculty, overseeing the senate hearing panel of a female postgraduate student, who has been a victim of sexual harassment.

The movie was first announced in January 2020 with BellaNaija sharing exclusive behind-the-scenes photos also in the same month. We also shared a snippet of the upcoming movie in March. Click here if you missed it.

Obafemi Awolowo University played host to the movie which was written by Tunde Babalola. Other stars in the movie include; Joke Silva, Jimmy-Jean Louis, Sadiq Daba, Gabriel Afolayan, Ini Edo, Adjetey Anang, Yomi Fash, French-Ivorian actor and screenwriter, Raymond Reboul, the Legendary Nigerian Afrobeat artiste, Seun Kuti, Temi Otedola, amongst others.

Serena Williams’ cute Daughter Alexis cheers her on at the 2020 U.S. Open

Tennis pro Serena Williams was cheered on at the 2020 U.S. Open by her 3-year-old daugher Alexis Olympia and her husband Alexis Ohanian but it was Serena's daughter who stole the show.

During the match, which held at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City, Serena Williams was spotted giving a wave to her little girl who gave a wave in return.

After Serena Williams' defeat of fellow American tennis player Sloane Stephens, she said, "I hope she saw her mama fighting. I don't think she was playing attention between you and me. I think she was playing with some princesses upstairs."

Nollywood actress and entrepreneur Iyabo Ojo has just moved into a new home with her two children, Priscilla and Festus.

The 42-year-old movie star shared an exclusive inside look at the new residence while also launching an interior decoration brand called Fespris Decor.

Located in Lagos, the new home has multiple rooms as well as a walk-in closet, a pantry, a gold-furnished dining room, and more.

In an Instagram caption, Iyabo Ojo stated, "It's been God all the way…"

The couple met at a birthday party and were introduced by their mutual friend.  Three years later, they tied the knot in the most beautiful way. Nollywood actress and model Efe Irele did not let a pandemic stop her from celebrating her 30th birthday with a few close friends and family at a private party over the weekend.

The rising movie star was surprised by her friends, including close friends Timini Egbuson and Sophie Alakija.

Efe Irele shared some photos from the celebrations with a caption that read in part, "You people love me o! Thank you for putting so much joy in my heart. I have the beSt guy and guys!!"

She added, "I have the best guy and guys! I'm one of hardest people to suprise but they got me good! It was everything I wanted and more".

Stella Damasus and husband no longer following each other on IG as rumours swell over marriage collapse

There are reports that Nollywood movie star, Stella Damasus, and her husband Daniel Ademinokan have gone their separate ways.

Damasus still has some of Ademinokan's photos on her Instagram page even though they have unfollowed each other.

According to the reports, the movie star and her husband weren't able to resolve their differences, hence his decision to move out of their matrimonial home.

The couple already unfollowed each other on Instagram, a trend common among celebrity couples especially when they are going through a breakup or marital crisis.

However, the actress is yet to delete his photos from her Instagram page.

Their marriage/partnership


Damasus and Ademinokan started dating back in 2011. They, however, kept their relationship and marriage private until 2014.

The couple co-own a production outfit, Two Studios, which is the brain behind her 2015 movie 'Between' that also doubles as their first movie in the United States of America.

Damasus' previous marriages


Ademinokan is not Damasus' first husband as she has been married three times. She got married to Jaiye Aboderin in 1999. Sadly, he passed away in 2004.

In 2007, Damasus remarried, this time, to Emeka Nzeribe. Now, this was one of the shortest celebrity marriages ever as it only lasted for 7 months. The reason behind the end of Damasus' union to Nzeribe is not known till date.

The Doris Simeon connection

Ademinokan was once married to Nollywood actress, Doris Simeon. It is reported that they both met on set from where they started a relationship. Their marriage didn't last long as they were involved in one of the messiest celebrity divorce scandals.

In 2013, Ademinokan revealed that Simeon was a pathological liar, serial adulteress, and was only playing on people's psyche to get their sympathy.



When the news of Damasus and Ademinokan began to trend a few years ago, it didn't go down well with Simeon. In an interview with Thisday back in 2016, Damasus debunked the rumours that she was a husband snatcher.

A Nigerian lady, @belberocks on twitter, has accused Big brother Naija's Erica of being a violent person.

Shortly after her outburst on Laycon last night, @belberocks accused Erica of once pulling a knife on one of her exes that is her friend. She went further to call her evil, saying she knows  a lot about her and that's why she doesn't like her.


"Erica that has pulled a knife before on one of her exes that is my friend. Kaii all the things I know about this babe, that's why I've never liked her one bit. She's pure evil!" she wrote.

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Nina Ivy has taken to Twitter to show full support for upcoming singer, Laycon.

The reality star disclosed this in her recent tweet where she applauded Laycon for keeping his cool last night while Erica hurled demeaning insults on him.

Erica last night, body shamed the hell out of Laycon and attacked other housemates who tried to support him. She expressed that she was still offended with Laycon for saying she tried to kiss him.

However, while she insulted him, Laycon didn't utter a word. His action wowed Nina who promised to send money to his fans to punish him with votes.

Female traditional ruler, Tinuade Babalola reveals she's not allowed to have a boyfriend or get married

The regent of Iboropa-Akoko in Akoko Northeast area of Ondo state, Tinuade Babalola has revealed one of the things are position deprives her of.

During a question and answer session on her Instagram story, a follower asked if she is allowed to have a boyfriend or get married while on the throne, and she replied saying she is not allowed to have a boyfriends as her positions demands that she remains celibate all through.

"No I'm not allowed to have a boyfriend because my position demands that i be celibate throughout my reign as a regent." She said.


Tinuade was made a regent in 2015, shortly after Oba Emmanuel Ayowole Adejuyigbe, her father, passed on. She had to go through some traditional rites of passage before she was pronounced a regent.

Big Brother Naija housemate, Erica has apologized over her actions after the Saturday night party which ignited a round of controversy and condemnation.

Recall that Erica bodyshamed Laycon after she accused him of lying about her trying to kiss him. She also poured water on Prince's side of the Head of House bed, while insisting that he will not sleep in same room with her for being "diplomatic" while she was confronting Laycon.

Erica gathered the housemates in the lounge and apologized for actions which led to a tensed atmosphere around the house.

"This is probably like the hardest thing I have ever done in my life, I have noticed that I'm wrong and I am very very sorry for acting out  and being stupid and saying a lot of wrong things to different people.


I feel like it's very easy to blame it on alcohol, but I said a lot of things that even other people, if they take alcohol, they still will not say those things.

So I can't really blame it on alcohol, I blame it on the fact that I have been angry and frustrated about other things for a long time.

And I need to do something about it because I don't want it to ever happen. So i am sorry to each and every one of you for the bad words I said to you people." she said.

Big Brother Naija housemate and billionaire son, Kiddwaya has noted that fellow housemate, Laycon is not a bad person.

The billionaire son disclosed this during a discussion with Erica following her outburst in the lockdown house last night.

Kiddwaya told her that last night proved to him that Laycon is not really a bad person. He said if he was really a bad person, he would have provoked her while she was shouting so she will commit more offences against Big Brother.


According to Kidd, he approached Laycon to talk about the issue, but Laycon said he wouldn't talk so the matter doesn't escalate.

Big brother housemate, Erica Nlewedim, who was disqualified from the reality show yesterday, September 6th, has been pictured all smiles today.

The photo which was shared by a Twitter user, @thic-didi shows her rocking a black dress seated outside her hotel building.

"She's good y'all." she captioned the photo.

Erica's repeated flouting of Big Brother House rules earned her the disqualification.

Erica, who was the Head of House (HOH), had earlier gotten two strikes for repeatedly breaking the house rules.

Erica has also become the first housemate to be disqualified from the ongoing reality show.

She was disqualified for breaking the house rules, bullying, provocation and engaging with the production crew.

Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, the Spiritual Director of the Adoration Ministry Enugu, has reacted to the feud between Big Brother Naija housemates, Erica and Laycon.

Recall that after their Saturday night's party, Erica rained abuses on Laycon for telling Ebuka she always tries to kiss her.

Mbaka while preaching at the Adoration ground on Sunday, berated Erica for her behaviour towards Laycon.

The cleric commended Laycon for remaining silent despite the insults.


In a video seen on Facebook, Mbaka said:

"Look at what she was calling the other young man, 'idiot', 'you are an idiot' and the whole world was watching. And the person she was calling idiot gets more votes than all of them, the boy did not even respond to her. Look at Erica with all her beauty and all her beautiful dances, then look at her in the next ten minutes, she becomes cantankerous and pugnacious and in her cantakerousity and pugnacity, she will lose that 85 million".

BBNaija2020: Vee – “This house is like a prison, I’ll come out victorious and blow like Naira Marley”

Big Brother Naija housemate, Vee, has stated that she will come out victorious from the show and "blow" after leaving the house.

During her discussion with Laycon and Kiddwaya, Vee said her story will be like that of Naira Marley who became more popular after he was released from Prison.

Recall, Naira Marley was released from jail sometime in June 2019 after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for alleged internet fraud, also known as 'yahoo yahoo.'

After his release, Naira Marley released a song 'Soapy' which made waves.

"My story would be like Naira Marley, he went to jail and became popular when he came out. This House is like a prison and I'll come out victorious and blow like Naira Marley", Vee said.

Pastor David Ibiyeomie rains curses on Daddy Freeze for ‘insulting’ Bishop Oyedepo

Founder and senior pastor of Salvation Ministries, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, has gone hard on controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze, for always "insulting his father", Bishop David Oyedepo.

Daddy Freeze has always taken to his social media handles to tackle and counter most of the things said or written by Bishop Oyedepo.

Preaching in his church recently, Ibeyiome verbally attacked Freeze, placing a curse on the day the OAP was born and calling him a "bast*rd" for insulting Oyedepo who he said is his father.

According to Ibiyeomie, Freeze is not a Nigerian but a Somalian who was born inside a ship.

"Insult me I wouldn't talk but insulting Oyedepo…..that Bast*rd! Tell him, any day I hear him talk about Oyedepo….do they know his father? Does Daddy Freeze have a father? That half caste who is a Somalian. The day I hear him talk about Oyedepo again, I will deal with him.


Oyedepo may not talk but I can't be alive and you insult my father.

Who gave birth to him? If he has a father, let him show us his father's picture. Somebody that they gave birth to in the ship. Does he look like a Nigerian? That's a Somalian.

Reno Omokri Slams Nigerian Youths For Donating Money To Erica And Not Putting Up Resistance Over Increased Fuel And Electricity Tariff

Controversial former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri is one of the people who had something to say about the GoFundMe page raised for disqualified BBNaija Lockdown housemate Erica Nlewedim.

The lawyer took to his Twitter page to air his thoughts about the money that is being raised for the housemate as he compared it to the attitude of Nigerian youth to the situation of Nigeria.

According to Omokri, it took just five hours for some youths to raise N5m for Erica but they couldn't raise the same money to in five months to unseat President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.

Noting that Nigerian youths deserve the current president, the lawyer stated that they were not able to resist the increase of fuel and electricity costs.

According to him, youths are always looking for people to act on their behalf when it comes to important issues but act for themselves when it comes to irrelevancies.

"In 5 hours, Nigerians raised $15,000 for #BBNaija's Erica. In 5 days, the same Nigerians have not been able to raise any resistance to General Buhari's increase of fuel and electricity costs. If you talk, some Nigerians will say come and lead the protest. Who led them to raise a record breaking $15,000 in 5 hours? We can act spontaneously for irrelevancies, but we are looking for others to act for us on relevant things! Nigeria deserves General Buhari!"
