Governor Sanwo-Olu Replies Man Who Asked Him To Summarize Buhari’s Speech

Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu has dished out a reply to a man who asked him to summarize Buhari's speech.

Recall, Nigeria's president, Muhammadu Buhari addressed the Nation yesterday, and the man who couldn't comprehend the message, took to Gov. Sanwo-Olu's Instagram page, to ask for clarification.

He took to the comment section of the Governor's post, and asked him to summarize the president's speech.

"Sir can you summarize what Mr. President said in his speech. I will be so glad if you could", the curious man wrote.

Governor Sanwo-Olu however, in his response, turned down the question, saying he cannot summarize what the president said.

Burna Boy apologizes after being called out for his tweets about Obigbo and Oyibo being under attack

Nigerian afrobeats singer, Burna Boy has apologized after being called out for saying that the killing in Oyigbo was done by Fulani herdsmen.

Burna Boy on October 23, raised alarm alerting the Rivers State governor that people in Oyigbo and Obigbo were under attack by Fulani herdsmen.



Sequel to the above, Burna Boy was called out by a Twitter user who accused him of "hypocrisy born out of bigotry and rancor".

When his attention was brought to it, Burna Boy apologize for his insensitive tweet, revealing his in a dark place due to the ongoing crisis in the country.

He tweeted, "This is from the bottom of my soul. I did not mean any harm by what I said. I sincerely apologise for coming across that way. I'm already in a dark place inside. You are my Brother and I LOVE YOU. Please don't be offended. We are all hurt, angry, afraid and confused right now."



Lekki Toll-Gate Shooting: ‘Don’t Give Up’- Alicia Keys Urges #EndSARS Protesters

American singer and songwriter, Alicia Keys has encouraged #EndSARS protesters not to give up on their fight for good governance and end to police brutality following the unwelcoming massacre at the Lekki toll gate on Tuesday, October 20.

In a tweet she made on October 24, the Grammy award winner expressed her heartfelt love to all Nigerians and urged protesters to stay hopeful.

She wrote;

"My love goes out to #Nigeria #America and everywhere in the world that is fighting to change the systems designed to oppress! #EndSARS #EndPoliceBrutality #BlackLivesMatter. Don't give up Stay hopeful We are needed You light is needed Your love is needed We are who we need…"



Toke Makinwa send birthday wishes to her crush Drake

Toke Makinwa seems to have a big crush on Canadian rapper, Drake as she celebrates him on his birthday, which is today, Saturday, October 24.

Toke Makinwa in a post via her Insta stories hailed Drake at 34 as she referred to him as her baby daddy.

Sonnie Badu drops 2019 video of how Ducan Williams prophesied about #EndSARS

The video is an excerpt of the Archbishop's Metro TV interview with Paul Adom Otchere in 2019 and he could be heard saying that " there is a wind coming, and it's not 2019, it will begin after 2020 going".

Dr Sonnie Badu has shared a video of the moment Archbishop Duncan William prophesied about an uprising by the youth hitting Africa soon.

The Action Chapel founder during the interview detailed that " the Arab uprising is coming, it's coming not just to Ghana but West Africa and all over if we don't do something, if we don't don't give them hope".

In the video, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan Williams emphasized that " that is why I am going back to the schools". Sonnie Badu shared the video and captioned his post " Baba spoke many months ago ... @archbishopnick it's not just Nigeria, it's Africa".

For the past two weeks, the Nigerian youth begun an EndSARS protest which has turned bloody 2 days ago after military men reportedly opened fire on peaceful protestors in Lekki to enforce a curfew to curb the violence emanating from the protest which is believed to be caused by hoodlums who are hijacking the peaceful protest to destroy State properties.

#EndSARS: Dami Orimogunje urges Nigerian filmmakers to quit making comedy films

Damilola Orimogunje, a fast rising Nollywood director has reacted to the violence that trailed the EndSARS protests as well as government's alleged role.

The 'Losing My Religion' director has called on Nigerian filmmakers to desist from overcrowding the comedy genre.

According to the 'For Maria' and 'Losing My Religion' director, now is the time for Nollywood filmmakers to quite making comedy films. "This is the time to make socially conscious films", he tweeted on Thursday, October 22. "Enough of the comedy bullshit. We have to fight the system with art or whatever we know how to do best".


Orimogunje's concerns are not isolated. Recall ace film director, Kunle Afolayan recently confirmed that his team is already taking first steps in their production of a film based on the shooting of unarmed, peaceful protesters. A day before that, Jade Osiberu ('Isoken', 'Sugar Rush' ) tweeted that the shocking events will not be forgotten as films will be made.


'We will rebuild - Filmhouse on the vandalization of its cinemas

Filmhouse is counting its loses following the vandalization of its Surulere and Circle Mall cinemas.

Filmhouse's Circle Mall and Surulere cinemas were recently attacked by hoodlums in the wake of Tuesday's Lekki shooting.

Reacting to the development, the film exhibition company released a statement alongside images and videos of the extent of destruction while reassuring cinephiles that they will be back better and stronger.

"These past few days have been tough, more for some than others. Our circle mall and Surulere cinemas have been vandalised but Nigerians have lost more than we can imagine", the statement read.
