Man not only went to prison and came back but now the Nigerian police is begging him not to lead a protest + having an IG Live with him by 11am. Naira Marley aka The people's president! Marlians!." This is coming after Nigerian IGP on social media urged Naira Marley not to lead the protest that was supposed to take place today, 6 October, as they revealed they are working tirelessly to address the police brutality and unprofessional acts in the country.  |
| Burna Boy & Rema Nominated for “Best African Act” Award for MTV EMA 2020 Posted: 07 Oct 2020 11:30 PM PDT  MTV today announced nominations for the "2020 MTV EMAs, and Nigerian singers Burna Boy and Rema have been nominated for the Best African Act.BET Awards 2020 winner and Grammy nominee, Burna Boy has once again been nominated in the Best African Act, a category he won in 2019. Other African singers in the category include, Master KG, Kabza de Small and DJ Maphorisa (South Africa), Sheebah (Uganda), Gaz Mawete (Democratic Republic of The Congo and Rema (Nigeria).Commenting on the announcement, Monde Twala, Senior Vice President and General Manager of ViacomCBS Networks Africa, said "The 2020 MTV EMAs is one of the biggest entertainment stages in the world and this year's African nominees are undoubtedly making their presence felt globally. | United States suspends Hushpuppi’s trial till 2021 Posted: 07 Oct 2020 11:00 PM PDT  The trial of Instagram celebrity, Ramoni Abbas, popularly known as Hushpuppi, has been moved to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.This is contained in the chambers orders of Judge Otis Wright. His trial will now resume by 9:00 a.m. on May 4, 2021.Recall that last month, new evidence was submitted against the Dubai based alleged internet fraudster.The 37-year-old is facing four-count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud, money laundering conspiracies, international money laundering and engaging in monetary transactions in property derived from specified unlawful activity.He was arrested months ago in Dubai alongside his friend Woodberry and others, and they were taken to the U.S. for prosecution.  |

Recall Wizkid born Ayo Ibrahim Balogun recently slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for wishing US President, Donald Trump, a quick Covid-19 recovery whereas his citizens are being brutalized and killed on a daily by SARS.  Trouble started when BlackFace fired at Wizkid for attacking President Muhammadu Buhari over the brutality of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS. In a tweet, Blackface whose real name is Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, asked 'small man' Wizkid, to face his music, while retweeting Wizkid's viral tweet, which described Buhari as 'old man'. | SZA confirms dating Drake in 2008, says it was ‘completely innocent’ Posted: 07 Oct 2020 05:00 AM PDT  American music star, SZA has confirmed dating Drake in 2008 after he rapped about it in a new song.Drake made the revelation in "Mr. Right Now", a song off Savage Mode 2 the new album by 21 Savage and Metro Booming. In his verse on Mr. Right Now, Drake rapped "Yeah, said she wanna f*ck to some SZA, wait/Cause I used to date SZA back in '08/If you cool with it, baby, she can still play."That was however not the first time the Canadian rapper has name-dropped SZA in a song. He also did same in Diplomatic Immunity where he referenced him meeting her in 2017 when she made a Toronto tour stop in support of her last album CTRL. Though the age of consent in Drake's native Toronto, Canada is 16, however it is 18 where he resides in California and it is speculated that SZA might have been 17 at that time. SZA has now confirmed that she and Drake dated in the late 2000s and further revealed that Drake did take some "poetic rap license" in the verse. She added that they dated in 2009 when she was 18 and it was completely innocent.
