Former housemate of Big Brother Naija "pepper dem" season is currently in pain, after he reportedly lost his beloved father.

The heartbroken BBNaija star cum influencer, shared a photo of a page of a notebook which has been soaked with drops of tears.

Sharing the photo, the grieving star, attached a heartbreak emoji to the post, as fans took to the comment section to send their heartfelt condolences messages while revealing that the BBN star lost his father.

A fan identified as Zikberts noted on Instagram that the BBN star lost his father yesterday in Sapele.

Singer Omah Lay has taken to Twitter to reflect on his life and how much it has changed in just one year.

The Bad Influence singer said by this time last year, he was in his tiny room singing songs he didn't know whether people would ever hear or like.

He said this as he dropped his new EP, 'What Have We Done'.

He tweeted: "This time last year I was holed up in my tiny room singing my guts out, not knowing if people would ever hear or even appreciate these songs.

"Fast forward few months later, those songs came together to become an EP titled 'Get Layd' and that shit changed my life!!!
 
"I see myself everywhere, hear myself everywhere, feels great! Everything I ever wished for."

He added: "But with it went the simple things of life, I miss being Stanley!!! Got me asking myself sometimes WHAT HAVE WE DONE???!!! Don't mind me, this shit is still new to me."

Controversial social media personality, Kemi Olunloyo, has said that going out to church or staying up at the dead of night is unnecessary.

According to her, you are practicing witchcraft if you attend church vigils, as you can pray anytime and not in darkness.

She tweeted;

“Inform us before wearing NYSC uniforms in movies” – NYSC warn Nollywood filmmakers

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has cautioned the Nollywood movie industry on the use of corp member's uniforms in movies.

According to Mr. Christian Oru, corps' assistant director of legal services, it is now obligatory for the Nigerian movie industry to ensure proper documentation to the commission before using the crested vests in shooting movies.

Mr. Oru made this known during a meeting between the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) and creative industry stakeholders on enabling laws and strengthening of professional guilds and associations in Lagos.

He said;

"For any filmmaker that wants any of his casts to wear the corps members' uniform while shooting movies, we require that you write an application letter to NYSC to indicate your interest.

We also demand that you submit your script to us for proper vetting to know how NYSC will be represented.
 
We know the script is your copyright and we will do everything to ensure confidentiality."

Davido – “I went back to school because of my parents”

Popular singer, Davido has opened up on his reasons for going back to school amidst the struggle of making it in the music industry.

The singer had dropped out of Oakwood University in the United States to focus on his music career even though he had to put on hold to finish tertiary education at Babcock University in Nigeria where he graduated in July 2015.

Speaking with Shaderoom in a recent interview, Davido noted that Education was never his thing as music has been his first love.


"Education was not my thing so after I left America to Nigeria it was something I just went back to do in order to make Dad proud.

"It was something I owed my dad and late mum so I had to take it important but Music has always been my first love

"I didn't drop out, I just left America to continue my school in Nigeria and joggle it with Music at the time," He revealed.

Diane unfollows Ike Onyema on Instagram, days after he unfollowed her

Recall, news went viral some days ago of Ike unfollowing Diane and other friends of his ex-girlfriend, Mercy over his breakup with her.

Shortly after he unfollowed Diane, she returned the favour by doing the same to him and warned him to maintain the decision he has taken henceforth.


Diane and Ike were best friends until he extended his anger on her after Mercy broke up with him. He unfollowed Diane following his breakup with Mercy Eke.

Toke Makinwa’s ex-husband, Maje Ayide, admits to court that he is a serial cheat

Toke Makinwa's ex-husbands, fitness enthusiast, Maje Ayide, has admitted to court that he is a serial cheat and he cheated on the media personality several times while they were married.

According to a court document obtained, Maje admitted saying;
 
"The Claimant by hos own admission is a serial cheat while in matrimony with the defendant."

Recall that the 3-year-old defamation lawsuit filed against Toke Makinwa by her ex-husband Maje Ayida has finally come to an end with court award N1m worth of damages to Ayida.

Maje had dragged his ex-wife, Toke Makinwa to court after she wrote and published a book titled "On Becoming", which Maje said contained defamatory words.

On Becoming was a book Toke wrote after her 13-year relationship and 3-year-old marriage to Maje hit the rocks and ended in divorce on Thursday, October 5, 2017

Singer, Simi has blasted Nigerian leaders over the lingering strike action by members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

ASUU has been on strike since March as the government and union failed to reach an argument over a number of issues. Public universities have been shut since then, disrupting the academic calendars.

In a series of tweets shared today November 18, Simi expressed frustrations over the continued strike. Her tweet reads

"Higher institutions on strike for months almost, if not every, year. The odds are always stacked against the average Nigerian. You spend the first half of ur life just trying to survive. To eat. To catch up. When you finally decide to settle, you don't have enough to do even that


Taking away the hopes and dreams of the youth. Destroying their futures so they're ready to settle for crumbs. Just so they can live to see the next day and fight for more crumbs. Because they're not your own children, their futures don't matter? Shame on you!

EndSARS Protest Has Not Changed Police, Actress Reveals As She Recounts Police Harassment

Actress Didi Ekanem has slammed ENDSARS Protest as she narrates her horrific encounter with policemen.

She admitted she broke the law by making a "one way U-turn" on her way out. She said before she completed the turn, "10 heavily armed" task force men pointed guns at her, opened her door and threw her out of the driver's seat. This was at about 10am.

She said they made her ride in the back of her car with other officers and took her to an unknown location where the officers told her they had to wait for their commander.

As they waited, she said one of the officers tried to touch her breasts and when she warned him, he said he was only trying to help. The commander eventually came at about 3pm and took her to Alausa, Ikeja, then allegedly proceeded to make sexual passes at her.

When she refused, she said he fined her a huge sum.

She added that while she was there, she witnessed them harass and extort others who they also detained.

She concluded that the End SARS protests which held to address these same issues, had no impact.

Actor, Saka Shares Epic Throwback Photo From His Matriculation Day

Nollywood actor Hafiz Oyetoro popularly known as Saka, has shared an epic throwback photo from 1986; his matriculation at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) formerly known as University of Ile-Ife (UNIFE).

The 57-year-old told the story of how he had no hope of attending the ceremony because he had no suit.

"I look at this picture and tears of joy freely flow down my cheeks. It was taken on my matric day in 1986 at UNIFE now OAU. Earlier in the day I stood forlorn and downcast," he wrote on Thursday.

"The university was agog with matriculation celebration which I had no hope of attending because I had no suits or any befitting clothes for the occasion. Then he tapped me gently on my shoulder and woke me from the stream of sorrow.

"'Hello Hafiz are you not attending matriculation?' he asked. I looked up, I was speechless. I looked at myself disdainfully.
