[Videos]: Tiwa Savage spends ₦743k on Christian Dior backpack for son Jamil

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage recently splashed hundreds of thousands of naira on her little boy on their recent shopping.

In a video shared to Jamil's official Instagram page, the little boy is seen in what appears to be Business Class of a plane jetting out to Dubai.


In another video shared to the 5-year-old's account, he is seen with a backpack from a luxury shop. However, it isn't just any kind of backpack but a Christian Dior.

The beige and black Dior Oblique Jacquard costs $1,950 which is about N743,000.

Tems releases statement on her arrest in Uganda

Nigerian singer Tems has released a statement after her release and return to Nigeria following her arrest in Uganda.

The singer says she wouldn't have visited Uganda if she knew about the covid-19 guidelines instituted by the country.

Tems and fellow Nigerian singer Omah Lay were arrested on Sunday, December 13, 2020, for performing at an 'unauthorised concert' and disobeying COVID-19 protocols.

The music star took to her Instagram page on Friday, December 18, where she expressed regret over the turn of events.


"I'm truly saddened that attendees could have possibly been exposed to covid-19. I would never have participated I had even the slightest knowledge that the event would not meet standard operating procedure and put Uganda citizens at risk," she wrote.

She went on to thank the Nigerian and Ugandan governments for the roles they played in resolving the issue.

Tems also thanked all her fans and well-meaning Nigerians and Ugandans who supported her during her arrest.


According to the music star, she also got to see and experience firsthand the strife women go through in while detention.

"The past week has been difficult but eye-opening for me. While I was being detained I met some amazing women and children, and my eyes were opened to the strife and hurt a lot of women are going through," she wrote.

The singer and Omah Lay returned to the country on Thursday, December 18, days after their arrest in Uganda for flouting the Covid-19 guidelines.

The news of their arrival was announced by the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission's Twitter page.

After their arrest, the singers were on Monday, December 14 arraigned in court on charges of doing "acts that are likely to cause the spread of infectious disease Covid-19."

They were later released after spending two days behind bars.

Nigerian singer and rapper, YCee has revealed that all it takes him to get any lady he wants is just to "double tap" on her picture.

The singer disclosed his bragging right in a recent post he made on his official Twitter page.

According to YCee, whenever he feels like he really likes a lady, he just "double taps", a social media parlance that connotes "liking or reacting" to someone's post.

For YCee, sending his target lady the "YCee just liked your photo" notification does the magic for him as a celebrity because he wouldn't need to do so much talking to get her dance to his whims and caprices.

Nollywood Actor Femi Jacobs replies pastor who said Christians may have to boycott Netflix

Femi Jacobs has responded to Pastor Emannuel Iren, the founder of Celebration Church International who encouraged Christians to boycott Netflix.

The pastor had tweeted: "At some point, Christians may have to boycott @netflix . I said what I said."

Some people agreed with him in the comment section and pointed out that movies that depict homosexuality as normal are on the platform which is a good reason to boycott it.


Femi Jacobs then responded to Pastor Iren, writing:


"Pastor Sir, I am an actor and many of my films are on there. I give my offerings from the proceeds of working in Nollywood. God Calling is on there too, it's a faith based film. Advise me, where will we be selling our films, Sir?"

A Nigerian man identified as Dave Partner recently took to his social media account to state that bad things only happens to poor people in Nigeria.

The young man asserted that no rich man's child has been hit by a stray bullet before adding that a container in Lagos has never fell on a billionaire before.

Taking to Facebook account, Dave wrote;

"Just to remind you that a stray bullet never killed a rich man's child. Lagos container never fell on a billionaire.

In a separate post, he said;

"Somehow bad Nigeria only happens to poor people in this country."
