Wizkid, Tems Make Barrack Obama’s List Of Favourite Music Of 2020

Former United States President, Barack Obama, on Saturday has shared a list of his favourite music of 2020.

The list which was shared on Twitter, according to Obama is complied with "valuable consultation from our family music guru, Sasha" who seems to have a considerable influence on her famous father's music choices.

The former Commander in Chief's Nigerian pick, Essence, is a single from Wizkid's "Made in Lagos" album in which he features Tems.

Obama's musical taste touches many genres, from rock (Bruce Springsteen's Ghosts, Bob Dylan's Goodbye Jimmy Reed, Jeff Tweedy's Love Is the King) to pop (Dua Lipa's Levitating, Jessie Ware's Remember Where You Are) to rap (J. Cole's The Climb Back, Travis Scott's Franchise, Lil Baby's The Bigger Picture) to country (Chris Stapleton's Starting Over, Ruston Kelly's Brave)

This comes as a part of Obama's annual tradition of sharing his favourite entertainment programs, books, and music from the particular year. Some of the movies from Obama's movie and TV favourites include Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Pixar's animated movie, Soul, David Fincher's Mank, the documentary Time, and Higher Ground Productions, Crimp Cramp.

Donald Trump took to Twitter to continue insisting that Joe Biden did not win the US election.

He tweeted a statement from One America News (OAN) host Christina Bobb.

Trump tweeted: "The lie of the year is that Joe Biden won! Christina Bobb @OANN."

Twitter added a fact-checker to the tweet.

"Election officials have certified Joe Biden as the winner of the U.S. Presidential election," Twitter added at the bottom of Trump's tweet.

Akpororo slams Gov. Sanwo-Olu over ban of shows in Lagos

Popular stand-up comedian, Akpororo has expressed dissatisfaction over the Lagos state government's ban on all shows this December.

Governor Sanwo-Olu in a speech imposed a 'no public gathering' order which took effect immediately in the state due to COVID-19.

"Concerts, carnivals and street parties are banned in Lagos State until further notice. Night clubs have not been allowed to open yet. All night clubs in Lagos must immediately shut down, until further notice. The midnight to 4am curfew imposed by the Federal Government remains in place," the speech reads in part.

In reaction, Akpororo lamented over the sudden notice that took effect immediately without considering the public opinion.


According to the comedian, his show 'Akpororo live on stage' scheduled for the today, 19th December is automatically terminated despite effort and resources put together since the last few weeks.

Nigerian man dragged for pleading with Zlatan to sign Wizkid to Zanku Records

A Twitter user with the handle @samsonowunmi have been trolled on the platform after he pleaded with indigenous rapper Zlatan to sign Wizkid to his label.

He tweeted;


While a response was not spotted from the rapper to the fellow, there were other social media users who were quick to troll him over his suggestion.

One individual noted that Zlatan has not won any entertainment award and does not have enough international recognition, yet he is being told to sign Wizkid.

His newly acquired massive Christmas gift, is located somewhere in Parkview, Ikoyi area of Lagos state.

The entertainment mogul had shared the work progress of the mansion last month on his Instagram page, and is now excited he has finally rounded up the expensive project.

Nigerian lady asked to cut eye-lashes before passport renewal

A Nigerian lady identified as Tiwalola on Twitter took to the platform to narrate how she was asked to cut her eye-lashes before her Nigerian passport can be renewed.

According to her, despite spending 5 hours of her time at the passport office, she was sent back home as the staff said they can't capture her picture cause her lashes weren't real.

She wrote;

"Waited 5 hours in the passport office to get my NIN and renew my Nigerian passport and when it was time to finally take my picture and go home they said they couldn't take it because my lashes aren't real. They said I should bring scissors to cut them."

Tiwalola also further shared a selfie of herself, to allow the public see the lashes which the staff complained about.

3 tips to pursue your dreams against all odds

In a world marred by many evils, diligently pursuing your goals without dwelling too much on others' success or soiling your hands with crime may be a tough one. The quest to become "an achiever" has derailed many and excellence has become too difficult to pursue; but it is still possible.

Talk is cheap, many persons would say, and as Nigerians are fond of saying 'action no be moi-moi'; meaning that it is never as easy motivational speakers paint it to be. These are true. Nevertheless, with self-discipline, impossible is nothing. When you are certain of what you want, you become defiant about your desires; then you can achieve it.

You may not be aware, but your success actually depends on you. What measures have you put in place to turn your dreams into a reality? Do you sit idle while anticipating success at your doorsteps? Are one of those who ask God to bless them without working, forgetting that faith without works is dead?

In this article, I shall briefly discuss 3 important tips to help you achieve your dreams:

1. Always have a plan that is matched with clear actions.
This sounds cliché. However, a plan goes beyond a mere draft of what you desire to achieve in life. will need to clearly state your short and long term objectives. More so, you have to stick to them with every atom of seriousness. Words become void when they are not backed with actions. Almost everyone has a plan. Nevertheless, the actions that suffix the plan are what matters more.

2. Always have faith and perseverance as your core ingredients.
In the journey of life, there are bound to be setbacks. In fact, this is non-negotiable. However, when challenges are thrown at you, how do you respond? Do you throw in the towel? That's too normal. It is a usual expectation. If you desire to turn your dreams into a reality, you must eschew doubt.

You have to hold onto the reason you wanted success in the first place and pursue it will all your might. You must provide your own motivation for excellence because no one can motivate you more than yourself.

3. Always eschew envy: it will damage you psychologically.
What we earnestly desire is not new on this earth. The career you are pursuing has been achieved by countless number of persons and many people now see the wealth and fame you desire as nothing. In essence, your dreams are already the normal lives of some persons and you will only damage yourself emotionally when you compete with them. You do not know how they started or the price they have paid.

Never compare the outputs of the efforts you are putting into actualising your goals with the results of others' efforts. The least you can do is to bow at the altar of their achievements and learn. Instead of envy, focus on your goals and purse them as indicated in Tips 1 and 2 above.

For me, none. Apart from the fact that you can't get head, nothing else is different. But then, head can be replaced with fingers, so we move. Also it can only happen on the bed. Lmao.

Yep. My husband fingers me on my period. He does not stick his hand in there now. It's just the clitoris he has business with. That's all. Besides, I should add that the best time that I have noticed, for me, is the first day of my period and last two days. The mess is usually very very limited.
