Funke Akindele - “I apologize first during disagreements with my husband”,

Famous Nigerian comic actress, Funke Akindele Bello, has revealed that she is always the first to apologize to her husband, JJC Skillz whenever they have disagreements.

She disclosed this while giving her fans an insight to how her family works, during a recent interview on on TVContinental.

According to her, she's always the first to apologize during any disagreement with her husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, better known as JJC Skillz.

In her words, "When we have disagreements, I apologise first. You know me; it is mouth that I have. I will say everything and just let it go and my anger span is very short but Abdul's own is longer, so, he takes his time before he gets angry. Abdul does not get angry easily, he takes things easy.

"And Abdul knows how to communicate better; so, if I am having issues with someone I am working with, I usually go and report the person to him. I ask him, 'what do we do now because you know that I don't know how to talk o.' Then he tells me to calm down and goes to talk to the person".

Speaking on their working relationship, Akindele-Bello noted that she has the creative juice while her husband handles the technical aspect.

She said, "For Abdul and me; I am the major producer, Abdul does not produce, he does not even like it. He is a director, he is so technical. I am very creative, he is very technical and he is very good."

Giving a scenario as she mimicked her husband's British accent, the diva said, "As a co-director with Abdul, if I do not want something, I tell him. Like I keep nagging, where is your shot list, where is your shot list? We have to get this shot list. I say it like two days before; I tell him let us talk about the shot list but he says, 'Yo, Yo, I am coming.' With his accent, but he has everything in his head. So, when we get to the set, I tell him what I want us to do but he will reply saying, 'Yo, Yo see this place is small. We have to manage it'.

"I tell him, 'Skillz, ma so be (don't say so); let us do it from here.' But he will say 'Babe, please calm down, calm down.' Sometimes I tell him, 'Fi ooyinbo le, leave English'."

She added that she had learnt over the years to respect her partner no matter what, "You should not command people to do things; you should communicate in a subtle way. You should not be defensive, you should not nag. So, I tell my husband things I do not like and he does so the same way", Akindele-Bello stated.

Nigerian actor, Baba Tee's second ex-wife has slammed after he threw shade at her when he welcomed his first child.

Sometime ago, Baba Tee, said all those who called him "a man with small penis and a serial lover" have been put to shame.

He made this known while celebrating Father's Day after welcoming a child with his third wife,

His ex-wife Dupe has now slammed him. She said she needed to set the record straight, then stated that her current husband did not "snatch" her from Baba Tee as the comic actor has been telling people.

She said Baba Tee left her and moved on with other women, then sent a message that he won't return home until she leaves his house.

She asked him to stop slandering her current husband by claiming he snatched her from him.

"Shebi you said you have married, make i no marry too ni?"

Dupe, who called out Baba Tee's first wife Yetunde after they divorced and she married the actor, said she won't blame Baba Tee's third wife because she's innocent and he probably lied to her the way he did with her too when he left his first wife for her.

Regarding Baba Tee's alleged infertility, Dupe, who is now expecting her own child too, insisted Baba Tee suffered infertility as a result of "low sperm count" when they were together but he refused to treat it.

She said before it was discovered he was the one with fertility issues, he used to call her a barren woman until tests proved the fault was from him.

She dared hom to deny his "impotency" and threatened to release his infertility result online if he does.

She also alleged he once threatened to stab her with a knife in his hands and subjected her to different forms of abuses.

Dupe also shared a video of herself flaunting her baby bump and thanked God for shaming those who called her barren by blessing her with the baby in her womb.

Nollywood actress Stella Damasus has shared a post centered on the need to never take relationships for granted.

The actress stressed that social media should never determine the strength of a friendship and also added that not following or posting a friend should never be the very thing to destroy it.

Damasus who noted that there is a difference between social media friends and true friends, averred that maturity goes beyond social media.

“I stole to raise money to feature Davido or Runtown in my music” – Car Thief reveals

The Police have apprehended a 23-year-old student of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Akoka identified as Dare Williams for snatching a vehicle from a hailing service driver after he revealed that he committed the crime because he needed the funds to feature top Nigerian artistes, Davido and Runtown.

Williams, who said he is a music artist, lured his friend, Bethel Chukwuocha, 18, to snatch a Toyota Corolla car from the driver, Clement Aniegbe, on Monday night.

Armed with a kitchen knife, the suspects who ordered a ride from Lekki to Gbagada said they threatened the driver with the weapon and sedatives to abandon the vehicle and his mobile phone.

Williams said his plan was to sell the vehicle for a million naira so he would raise the money he needed to advance his music career. He told reporters that he resorted to robbery after going round for help but got none.

Commissioner of Police (CP) Hakeem Odumosu, confirmed the incident and said the suspect was arrested on Tuesday, December 22.

Nigerian rapper Afeez Fashola aka Naira Marley has remained one of the most controversial artistes since his emergence in the music industry but not a lot of people know that he grew up out of the country.

The rapper's interview with top media house, Vice UK, was recently released and it was packed full with a lot of revelations about his life before the fame.

Speaking with UK media personality, Chuckie, the rapper who appeared to have returned to Peckham for a segment of the interview noted that it feels good to be back at a place where he grew up.

Naira Marley went on to talk about the gangster life that was prominent in that part of South London and how everyone from kids to adults all had a history of going to jail. The rapper also disclosed that he started making a name for himself and went on to form No Manaz.

He also added that they were the most violent set of people on the road.

Fielding a question about how he started doing music, the rapper said he was asked to fill up a blank verse on a song and after he did, everyone who listened to the song fell in love with his part.
 
In a different portion of the interview, the Soapy crooner spoke about the level of violence he witnessed in London. Naira Marley also made it a point to note that he is still a gangster.

"I wouldn't say I was a gangster, I am a gangster."
 
On the issue of cybercrime, the rapper maintained that Nigerians are not the biggest when it comes to committing the fraudulent act but they have managed to become the face of it.

Chico Ejiro passes on, died 25th December, 2020 Christmas Day

Nollywood Veteran filmmaker, Chico Ejiro passes on Christmas day, 25th December, 2020. He was a Nigerian movie director, screenwriter, and producer.

According to some information in the public domain, Chico was born in Isoko, Delta State, Nigeria, and he originally studied agriculture, and was drawn into video production because Nigerians would not buy blank video cassettes.


His enormous body of work was typical of the second generation that started in the 1990s when cheap video-production equipment became available in the country. He owned a production company called Grand Touch Pictures, which is based in Lagos.


Nicknamed Mr. Prolific, he directed over 80 movies within a 5-year period—each one shot in as little as three days. They feature story lines relevant to Nigerians The exact number of movies he has worked on as either director, producer, or both is unknown, but it ranges in the hundreds as of 2007.


He was profiled in an article in The New York Times, dated May 26, 2002 ("When There's Too Much of a Not-Very-Good Thing" by Matt Steinglass), and in an article from the international version of Time Magazine dated May 26, 2002 ("Hollywood, Who Really Needs It?" by Stephan Faris).


The filmmaker died in the early hours of Christmas day from a seizure. Chico only just concluded directing his new movie on Christmas Eve.

Ejiro was married to Joy Ejiro and they had four children. He had two brothers: Zeb Ejiro, the best-known of the new Nigerian cinema auteurs outside of the country, and Peter Red Ejiro, also a movie producer.

Coming 2 America is set to be released in 2021.

Diane Russet closes boyfriend application as she gets overwhelmed with requests

While people are dusting their inboxes and waiting for at least one man to slide in, other people are overwhelmed with inflow.

Big Brother Naija ex-housemate, Diane Russet, recently revealed that a lot of men have sent in their application requests to be her boyfriend.

According to her, in a post via Twitter, her DMs and email were full of such requests.

The reality star promised to go through the applications with her team as she announced that it had closed.

Nigeria's transportation system could become a whole lot better with the speed rail that just launched, which takes people from Lagos to Ibadan with ease and without the fear of traffic associated with roads.

In a post on Tuesday, December 22, a man with the Twitter handle @dmIdavies gave a rider's experience, a review that should tell anyone what to expect with the rail service.

According to him and the snapshot of his ticket, a ride from the Yaba station in Lagos to Moniya in Ibadan cost a sum of N2,500.

He said that the inside of the train is comfortable and very air-conditioned that one may ask for it to be reduced. There are also charging points for those who may want to work on their PC before they get to their workplaces.

@dmIdavies said that while there are a whole lot of things that could be improved, the service is very good for the money.

He added that there is a stop between Lagos and Ibadan at Abeokuta train station, making the journey 2 hours, 30 minutes.

The train currently operates once daily, leaving Ibadan to Lagos from 8 am to 10:30 am in the morning and back to Ibadan from Lagos at 4 pm to 6:30 pm. To get a ticket, a valid ID card is required and there is no option to book online for now.

Anthony Joshua says he wants to take Tyson Fury’s ‘head off his shoulders’

With a super-fight between the Brits now closer than ever to materialising, Joshua, 31, said: 'All I wanted was his Rolex watch. He said before that spar (to Boxing News), "If you can beat me up or knock me out, you can have my Rolex watch".

'I was hungry then and I am even hungrier now. It was a good spar. I didn't really know too much, it was just passion. Now I have some boxing IQ and passion, I know it will be a great fight.

'There was a Rolex but now there is an even bigger pot of gold at the end of this rainbow and I want to take his head off his shoulders when that fight happens.'

Joshua, the IBF, WBA and WBO champion, added: 'After the Pulev fight I didn't want to do any interviews – less talk and more action. I stood by that. But now that we're talking about it, a week or so after, and I'm ready, I'm keen. If that fight happens I'm sure that I'll win. How close are we? I promise you conversations are happening. We're definitely looking at the landscape. But until you hear it from me, don't buy into anything.
 
'I'm taking my time – because there has been a lot of back-and-forth for years. I've been chasing this road to undisputed and when the time is right I'll announce it and I'll have my mind fully focused on the job at hand.

'The offers will be made, substantial offers. I'm looking more optimistically as if it will happen to be honest with you. He should take this fight with both hands.

'I promise you this: I will put in a serious offer to fight Tyson Fury and if he's serious himself, he will take it. If he's not I will fight (Oleksandr) Usyk and leave it there.'

Heavyweight boxer, Usyk is among the problems around the fight for the undisputed title, given the Ukrainian is the mandatory challenger for Joshua's WBO belt.

With the WBO currently holding Joshua to his obligation to fight Usyk next, Joshua could have to vacate the belt in order to complete negotiations with Fury.

Asked about giving up one of his titles, Joshua said: 'The belts do make it special but I feel like the cries from the public are just for me to fight Tyson Fury.

'I am the sort of guy who will let my team just put a social media poll and whatever the fans vote, I will do. If they want to see me fight Fury, and I have to relinquish… There is nothing more in it than me wanting to compete against the best.

'If that is Tyson Fury, then fine. If they want me to fight Usyk, and get him out of the way, then fine. I believe I will beat Usyk and then Tyson Fury can happen at the end of the year. Either way, I am just doing my next couple of fights next year on what the public wants me to do.'

In terms of his future, Joshua indicated he has a point in mind for when he will retire.

He said: 'I have a time frame, I want to go to around 38.

'I am not just looking at Tyson Fury, but how long I can give to the sport. What more do I have to give? I am young and fit, I don't do anything else so boxing is fun for me and keeps me busy.

'Tyson Fury is a good challenger, someone to help me progress, he will be a great learning fight. And, once that is done, I will go on competing with the best, challenging myself and making history.'

Mr Eazi Gets Robbed In Ghana

Mr Eazi, a popular Nigerian-born Ghanaian singer, has reached out to fans to help him find his laptop and iPhone after he was robbed in Accra.

Mr Eazi, whose real name is Oluwatosin Ajibade, took to the micro blogging platform, Twitter to reveal that he was robbed of his laptop in Accra, as he called on anyone who resides in the country to return the 'stolen' property if seen with the promise of a reward.

He wrote;

"Abeg If Anybody see my laptop for Accra make e halla me! I go give am some cool £. Lmao but on a real anybody wey find am I promise I go do u well. Kano Singer In ‘Trouble’ For Featuring Married Woman In Music Video

Dauda Kahutu Rarara, a political Hausa musician, has been slammed for featuring a married woman in one of his music production recently.

According to report, the Kwali Police Division in Kano State was ordered to probe Rarara, stating that the act was unislamic.

The state Shariah Court demanded the police to investigate the singer and present its findings to the court for further decision.
 
We understands that Rarara had featured one Maryam Muhammad, 20 in one of his music videos titled 'JAHATA JAHATA TACE'.

The development, however, caused him trouble after Maryam's husband filed a suit against him for featuring his wife in the production.

In his ruling, the Shariah court judge, Sarki Yola, noted that 'the court can not dismiss the suit instituted by the husband of Maryam, on the claim that the singer was not aware of her marital status."

Yola, therefore, asked the Kwali Police Station to look into the matter thoroughly and present its findings to the court. Naija News understands that Rarara is the official political singer for President Muhammadu Buhari and many other APC leaders in the country.

Further reports revealed that the woman in question, Maryam Muhammad had left her husband Abdulkadir Inuwa at home a few months after their wedding without his knowledge until she appeared in the music video with Rarara.

We understands counsel for the singer had asked the court to dismiss the case, as no investigation has been done by the police on the claims of the husband.

However, the court judge, Khadi Sarki Yola has asked the DPO Kwalli Police division to summon the singer Rarara and his producer, Bashir Maishadda, with a view to investigating the veracity of the claims, and thereby adjourned the case till further notice.

US Rapper, 6ix9ine Sued Over His Involvement In 2018 Armed Robbery

6ix9ine, 24-year-old American rapper, has been hit with a civil lawsuit for his involvement in an NYC armed robbery.

According to TMZ, the plaintiffs, Seketha Wonzer and Kevin Dozier, say 6ix9ine was present when his Trey Nine Bloods associates ambushed them on April 3, 2018 in Manhattan. The victims, who also work as publicists, say they were the studio when five armed men pulled up in an SUV, and demanded them to get on the ground before taking their belongings. Wonzer and Dozier say the men took off with shoes, jewelry, a camera, and $1,5000 cash, as well as master recordings and hard drives with client information.

The plaintiffs say they were ambushed because 6ix9ine and his fellow gang members mistakenly believed they were affiliated with Rap-A-Lot Records. 6ix9ine pleaded guilty to this crime, and other charges, as part of his deal with prosecutors during his racketeering trial.

"This lawsuit is meant to bring justice for my clients who have suffered immensely as a result of a vicious gunpoint robbery by Tekashi69 and his henchmen," the plaintiff's attorney, Joe Tacopina, said in a statement to Pitchfork.

"If Tekashi69 thought his legal problems were over after pleading guilty to brutally assaulting my clients, he was woefully mistaken. Because Tekashi69 already admitted to his crimes, his civil liability is beyond dispute. All that awaits to be seen is how sincere Tekashi69 was when he cooperated with prosecutors and claimed to accept responsibility for his wrongdoing. But we do know this now — if he refuses to redress the injuries he caused my clients, he'll sincerely regret that decision."

Although 6ix9ine wasn't one of the armed men who robbed Wonzer and Dozier, he did film the attack from a nearby SUV. The plaintiffs are suing for violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO), assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. They are seeking unspecified damages.

Rihanna Facing Lawsuit For Allegedly Using Song In Fenty Beauty Ad Without Permission

Rihanna has found herself facing a lawsuit after a pair of German artists claimed one of their tracks was used in a Fenty advertisement without their permission.

The 32-year-old Barbados native is being sued by a German father-daughter musical duo dubbed King Khan and Saba Lou, according to TMZ.

They allege that RiRi used a track of theirs titled 'Good Habits' in an Instagram post promoting her Fenty fashion line.

The lawsuit alleges that King Khan and Saba Lou created the music and lyrics for Good Habits, which was featured on the Instagram post.

The duo also claims that Rihanna did not have their permission to use the track on the ad, theorizing that she just lifted the song from a music streaming platform.

King Khan and Saba Lou are seeking unspecified damages, along with demanding that she stop using their song.

The Instagram ad racked up more than 3.4 million views, according to the lawsuit, though it's not clear when the ad debuted.

Neither Rihanna nor reps from her Fenty brand have responded to the lawsuit.

The news comes just months after the singer and fashion mogul was named on Forbes list as one of the wealthiest self-made women.

Rihanna took 33rd place on the list, with an estimated net worth of $600 million from record sales and her Fenty line.

She also placed 60th on the Forbes annual Celebrity 100 list, with earnings of $46 million this past year.

Popular reality star, Kate 'Ka3na' Jones has celebrated the 5th wedding anniversary of her matrimony with her British husband, Mr Jones.

Recall that during the 2019 reality show, the entrepreneur opened up to have once married one 64-year-old British whom she had her only daughter with through IVF.

In a recent post, Ka3na shared a dinner date with her husband, who she referred simply as Mr Jones.

In the video, the duo shared a beautiful moment together wining and dining.

Sharing a sneak peek of their moments together, Ka3na wrote;

"5yrs Of Freedom, Peace Of Mind And Friendship 22/Dec./2015 – 22/Dec./2020 Happy Anniversary To Us."
