New Afrobeats group YDN drops new single 'Malo'

The group has taken the world by storm with hit records, from "Powa" to "Aura."

YDN is a renowned Afrobeats group that originated in Los Angeles.

The group is composed of three Nigerian-American men, Emsho, King Bulu, and Muski.

Beauty queen Agbani Darego and her husband Ishaya Danjuma have welcomed their second child together.

Darego and Danjuma already have a son who was born in September 2018.

The former Miss World took to her Instagram page on Friday, December 4, 2020, where she announced the news in a subliminal style.

YBNL Princess Reveals Why She Refused To Change Name Despite Leaving Olamide’s Label

Temmie Ovwasa has refused to change her name from YBNLPrincess after leaving singer Olamide's Label.

The 24-year-old revealed that she was no longer a member of YBNL on her Instastories.

She asked her followers to ask her anything about her new album E be like say dem swear for me.

Some her followers decided to ask about her former boss Olamide.

One of the questions asked was, "Oya remove YBNL for ur name nau."

Her reply was,

"My name is Temmie Ovwasa. YBNLPrincess is one word. Beyond that, I own this name," she said on Thursday.

"I was going to remove it but now that y'all are here I'm enjoying your tears. cry baby, be my bitch. I love when people hide behind their burner accounts and talk shit."

She also said she now belongs to Rainbow Republic record label.

Another follower decided to use the question opportunity to tell Temmie that Olamide loves her and had better plans for her if she had just been patient.

In response she said,

"Signed. 2016-2020. I hope someone else can benefit from the 5 years of better plans."

Temmie was signed to the YBNL nation in 2016.

A student of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Temmie is a singer, writer, poet and a guitarist.

Her first single titled 'Jabole' was produced by Pheelz.

Nigerians have dragged former BBNaija housemate, Erica Nlewedim after Davido featured Nengi in his 'Jowo' movie.

Internet was on fire when Davido released the thriller of the video and disclosed that he featured Nengi. Apparently, fans didn't see that coming because Nengi and Davido have not been seen together since the conclusion of the BBNaija show.

A fan reacting to Nengi's tweets about the video, dragged Erica that "after hanging out with Davido and Kidd, Davido did not still feature her in his video "jowo".

Some other fans also dragged the ex housemate for not being featured in the movie.

Beyonce's Daughter, Blue Ivy Carter Wins Soul Train Award For Second Time

Blue Ivy Carter, the 8-year-old daughter of Beyoncé and Jay-Z, has won a Soul Train Award for "Video of The Year".

She won the award for the hit song "Brown Skin Girl."

On Thursday, December 3, Blue Ivy's grandmother, Tina Lawson, took to Instagram to congratulate her granddaughter.
 
"Congratulations to my beautiful talented granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter. She won a Soul Train Award for video of the year! She is only 8 years old," Tina Lawson wrote.

Last year, Blue won the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter's Award at the 2019 Soul Train Music Awards for co-writing her mother's hit song, "Brown Skin Girl".

Kanye West Named Billboard’s Top Gospel Artist of 2020 Ahead Of Kirk Franklin

Billboard's Top Gospel Artist of 2020 has been bagged by Music superstar, Kanye West and he is also the Top Male Gospel Artist of 2020.

The publication announced Yeezy's latest achievements on Thursday night, December 3.

On the list of entertainers for the Top Gospel Artist chart, Kanye beat out Kirk Franklin at No. 2, Tasha Cobbs Leonard at No. 3, Sunday Service Choir at No. 4, Travis Greene at No. 5, Marvin Sapp at No. 6, Kierra Sheard at No. 7, Koryn Hawthorne at No. 8, Maverick City Music at No. 9, and Jonathan McReynolds at No. 10.
 
As for Top Male Gospel Artist, Kanye beat out Kirk Franklin who sits at No. 2, Travis Green at No. 3, Marvin Sapp at No. 4, and Jonathan McReynolds at No. 5.

In the report, Billboard said:

West's 2019 album, his first spiritual-themed set, Jesus Is King, opened atop Top Gospel Albums, Top Christian Albums, and the all-genre Billboard 200.

In its opening week on the Nov. 9, 2019, dated lists, the set earned 264,000 equivalent album units, the biggest week ever for a faith-based album. Since its arrival, Jesus Is King has spent more than a year at No. 1 and is the No. 1 album on the Top Gospel Albums year-end tally.

The No. 2 Christian Album of 2020 also comes from West's world. Jesus Is Born, credited to the Sunday Service Choir (with production by West), finishes in the runner-up position.

After just a day-and-a-half of tracking, Jesus Is Born entered Billboard's Top Gospel Albums chart (dated Jan. 4, 2020) at No. 2 starting with 6,000 equivalent album units earned (3,000 in album sales) in the week ending Dec. 26, according to Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Jesus Is Born peaked at No. 2 on Top Gospel Albums, not making it to the summit only because West's own Jesus Is King LP was dominating at No. 1. Sunday Service Choir is also the leading gospel group of 2020.

Burna Boy Finally Breaks Silence Amidst Cheating Allegations

Burna Boy has finally reacted to the cheating allegations rocking his relationship with UK rapper and girlfriend Stefflon Don.

Earlier in the week, a lady identified as Jopearl had called out the singer on social media, as she reveals that being his side woman has affected her mental health, adding that she can't do it anymore.

Born Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu, Burna Boy had however, been silent since the cheating scandal broke out a few days ago and is yet to address the situation.

Duncan Mighty Accuses Wife Of Using Juju On Him, Plotting To Kill Him And Take Properties

Duncan Mighty, a Nigerian singer, has recently left his fans uneasy after making serious allegations against his wife, Vivien, and her family; accusing them of trying to use juju (witchcraft charms) on him so he can will all his properties to them.

According to the music star, his wife once confessed to him about how she and her family were in awe of his numerous properties and plotted to kill him to have control over them.

The River State born singer said that his wife confessed to visiting several native doctors where she got several charms to she was to use on him. According to him, whenever he achieves any feat or begins a new building, his wife always tells him to lodge both of them in a guest house, there she would cut his finger and toe nails to begin the manipulation process.

He said that this is coming after she told him to will his properties to her since he is the only child from his parents. Born Duncan Wene Mighty Okechukwu, Duncan Mighty revealed that they just had a ceremony for the dedication of his second child, Mitchell when his wife started displaying at midnight and also confessed of all her atrocities.

He made all this known via his Instagram page, he shared photos of his estranged wife's mother, elder sister and brother. Apparently the musician had already typed the revelation write-up on his phone before sharing it online.

"They always talk about my properties and too many investment at a young age so they went to the highest Juju (witchcraft/voodoo) to get a powerful charm as a spell to command me to do whatsoever she asks me to do…and a poison that will first shrink me for a year and then everyone will be saying I'm doing drugs or infected with an incurable disease. They went to 3 different fetish doctors, did all the blood sacrifice, and brought the native doctors to my house and buried two charms with a hidden coven that she will be worshipping. The native doctor told them to get my picture, sand and boxers from bedroom. They put liquid poison in food and bathing water. Native doctor also told them to cut Duncan's nails both hands and foot when sleeping and bring it to the shrine as final sacrifice then"

Even though he did not state the yardstick for measurement, fans of both singers trooped out to defend their faves.

Davido shows off his cooking skills as he joins his sister, Sharon, in the kitchen

Nigerian singer, Davido has proven that apart from making music he is also a good chef as he uses late mom's recipe in the kitchen.

The self-styled Omo Baba Olowo was recently a guest on his older sister's cooking show, Diary of An Inner Fat Girl, during which they did a lot of catching up.

Davido said when his sister informed him that he was coming on the show, the only recipe that came to his mind was one that his late mom used to make.

According to the singer, his mom used to make 'plantain and cut-cut stew' and he really loved it.

In the video, the FEM crooner could be seen working his way around croaker fish as he was assisted by his sister who monitored the seasoning process.
 
Speaking during the cooking show, he used the opportunity to also reveal that he does not really enjoy spicy food just like his dad.

Sharing the video on Instagram, an excited Sharon appreciated God for giving her the opportunity to do what she loves and also thanked her superstar brother for joining her despite his busy schedule.

In her words, "I'm so grateful to God that I get to do what I love and I get to share these moments with the people I love. My brother @davido took time out of his schedule to join me on the new episode of Diary of An Inner Fat Girl."

Tboss reacts after Erica said she doesn’t know how to cook ‘Ogbono’ soup

Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Tboss, has sent out a message to Erica Nlewedim after she revealed she doesn't know how to cook Ogbono soup.

Recall, Erica in previous post wished she could cook a Nigerian delicacy called "ogbono soup".

This sparked mixed reactions on Twitter alot of reactions as some people offered to teach her, while others condemned her for publicising such information.

Tboss in her response, said she just made ogbono soup which was so delicious, only for her to come online and see Erica's post.

She told Erica to reach out to her so she can teach her how to cook the soup, and some other Nigerian delicacies such as Egusi, okra and vegetable soup.
