Gedoni gushes over Khafi while narrating how he fell in love on BBNaija show

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Gedoni Ekpata has narrated how he went from competing in the reality show to falling in love with a colleague, Khafi Kareem.

In an interview with Kemi Filani, the serial entrepreneur noted that it was close to love at first sight but more of an attraction to Khafi's voice.

Despite having behind his mind the goal of being on the reality show to win, Gedoni noted that it became a challenge to focus other than wanting to be around his now-wife.

In his words,

"When I came into big brother house love was the last thing on my mind. I went in with one thing in mind; and that was to promote my fashion business. But her voice attracted me, that was what made me look up, looked again and again and still looking.

I also noticed how she was particular about sharing love. It took me quite a while to get into the relationship because I didn't understand why my heart was feeling the way it felt; so there was an internal battle between my heart and head.

My biggest fear was the "game." BBNaija house was a simulated environment and I was constantly reminded that it was a game and so, I had troubles separating what was real from what was not."

"It's an avalanche of qualities, I doubt if you have space for them; her beauty, intelligence, voice, her fashion sense (she had clothes and shoes I would never look at that fascinated me), and lots more."

Nigerian actress, Rosy Meurer has finally reacted after she was back-lashed on social media for marrying fellow actress and former bestie, Tonto Dikeh's ex-husband Olakunle Churchill.

Recall Churchill officially announced his rumoured "side-chick" as his wife on her birthday, today, February 15th.

Following the announcement of Rosy as his wife, she has received backlash on social media with many tagging her a "husband snatcher".

An old video of her publicly denying having an affair with Churchill who was still married to Tonto Dikeh at the time has now surfaced. In the video, she said it is impossible for her to be in a romantic relationship with Churchill as he's like a brother to her.

Reacting to the heavy backlash, Rosy has now taken to her official Instagram page to state that everyone is entitled to their opinion, noting that only God can judge her. In another post she said she can do whatever she wants to do.

Fans console Tonto Dikeh as Ex Husband, Churchill remarries

Fans of Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh, have trooped to her Instagram page to console her after her ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill got married to the lady she had accused of breaking her home, Rosy Meurer.

Recall we earlier reported that Churchill introduced Rosy as his wife while celebrating her on her birthday today, 15th February 2021. He further disclosed that they both have been married for two years now.

Following the announcement, Nigerians called out and dragged Rosy on social media for allegedly wrecking a fellow woman's marriage.

Reacting to the backlash, she said only God can judge her, noting that she can do whatever pleases her while flaunting her wedding ring in a video.

As the news continues to go viral, fans of Tonto Dikeh have trooped to her Instagram page to console her, with many appreciating her strength and noting that God has finally vindicated her.

Warri Pikin in trouble for celebrating Rosy Meurer on her birthday

Comedienne Real Warri Pikin has come under fire for celebrating actress, Rosy Meurer on her birthday after it was rumoured she "snatched" fellow actress, Tonto Dikeh's ex-husband, Olakunle Churchill.

Her critics condemned her for celebrating Rosy's birthday despite being friends with Tonto Dikeh. Some even prayed that what happened to Tonto happens to her. "May someone snatch your husband too" a follower prayed.

Recall that Churchill while celebrating Rosy on her birthday today, introduced her as his wife. He also disclosed that they have been married for two years.


When Rosy came under fire by Nigerians accusing her of snatching Churchill from Tonto Dikeh, she said only God can judge her and that she is free to do whatever she feels like.

However, with the anger and disappointment in the hearts of netizens over the sad incident, Nigerians have now descended heavily on Warri Pikin for celebrating an enemy to her friend, Tonto.

In a video making rounds on social media, it captured the moment a mother engaged her son in a heated argument while trashing his room.

The young man could also be seen calling his mother crazy for acting irrationally at her own son.

According to a social media report, commotion struck in the city of Port Harcourt as the bride lashed out at the groom in the middle of the road accusing him of ruining the marriage.

The groom's friend could be heard saying 'you F up' after confirming the infidelity.

2 Nigerians arrested for posing as singer Bruno Mars to scam 68-year-old American woman of $100K in the U.S

Two Nigerians face between 2 and 10 years in a US prison after they were charged to court for scamming a 63-year-old woman Texas woman in a romance scam.

The woman was duped out of $100,000 in a catfishing scam where she was led to believe she was dating pop star, Bruno Mars.

Alleged fraudster Chinwendu Azuonwu, 39, a Nigerian national and permanent resident of Houston, appeared in court on Tuesday, Feb 9, accused of impersonating Mars on Instagram as part of the scam to swindle the victim out of her savings.

Azuonwu, charged with third-degree felony money laundering, was taken into custody this week, KPRC-TV reported.

In court documents, his co-conspirator was identified as Basil Amadi, 29, also a Nigerian national.

The victim, a resident of North Richland Hills, Texas, told police that in 2018 she created a profile on Instagram "in search of companionship."

She then made contact online with someone claiming to be Bruno Mars. During these interactions on Instagram and Google Hangouts, the woman told investigators that she "fell in love" with the person she thought was Mars.



In addition, "Mars" told the woman that he planned to quit his tour so that he can be with her.

The woman told police that she believed at the time that she was communicating with the 11-time Grammy Award winner after she received text messages showing Mars performing while he was on tour.

In September 2018, "Mars" asked the woman to send him a $10,000 check to help cover touring expenses, according to police.

The woman agreed. She went to a local branch of the Wells Fargo bank in North Richland Hills and withdrew a cashier's check made out to "Basil Chidiadi Amadi," a person described as a "friend of the band," according to authorities.

The woman deposited the check into an account at JPMorgan Chase.

The woman then returned to her bank and withdrew a cashier's check that was made out to "Chi Autos" – "at the request of 'Mars'."

The second check was deposited on September 14, 2018, into a separate bank account at JPMorgan Chase, according to investigators.

Investigators subpoenaed bank records and traced the two JPMorgan Chase accounts to Azuonwu and Amadi.

They then ran their names through the database of drivers license holders and found their pictures.

According to Harris County prosecutors, Azuonwu acknowledged that he was the owner of one of the bank accounts in question, though he denied ever knowing Amadi.

He also said he did not know how $90,000 was deposited into his account, according to the criminal complaint.

Amadi also told investigators that he did not know Azuonwu. He also could not explain the source of the $10,000 payment that appeared in his bank records.

Azuonwu's bail was set at $30,000.

If convicted, each of them face between two and 10 years in state prison.

A senator representing Niger East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sani Musa has defended the Central Bank of Nigeria's ban on cryptocurrency transactions in Nigeria.

According to Musa, cryptocurrency is being used for transactions worldwide without a clear knowledge on who owns or operates the digital currency.

The lawmaker while speaking during plenary on Thursday, further said that Bitcon has made the Naira useless and valueless.

He stressed the need for cryptocurrency to be regulated in Nigeria.

In his words;

"Cryptocurrency has become a worldwide transaction of which you cannot even identify who owns what. The technology is so strong that I don't see the kind of regulation that we can do. Bitcoin has made our currency almost useless or valueless."

"If we have an economy that is very weak and we cannot regulate cryptocurrency in Nigeria, then I don't know how our economy would be in the next seven years."

On February 13, 2021, Nigerian singer, Joeboy will be on Cuppy's Apple Music Radio show, 'Africa Now.' He will discuss his new album, 'Somewhere Between Beauty and Magic,' why the album has no features and his plans for a deluxe.

As regards the lack of features on his album, Joeboy says, "I really, really wanted two of my favorite artists on the album, but I couldn't get their verses on time. So by the time they submitted their verses, it was too late to actually add it to the album."

When asked who these two artists are, he says, "Oh, okay. Part of my favorite artists are definitely Simi and WurlD. So the deluxe version is coming out in a couple of months, the deluxe version of the album. So those features are definitely going to be on it.

Lauren London and the late Nipsey Hussle have a son together.

American actress and partner of later rapper Nipsey Hussle, Lauren London has debunked rumours of being pregnant.

Nipsey Hussle was shot dead in cold blood in April 2019.

In a post shared via her Twitter page on Wednesday, February 10, 2021, the mother of two, denied the rumours.

"Woke up to some straight bullshit. Rumors! Lies! On a woman trying her best to heal?! Please stop. I'm NOT pregnant," she tweeted.

London was the late Nipsey Hussle's partner before his untimely death.

The rapper with Eritrean roots had a promising career before he was killed.

Fela leads race for induction into the Rock and Roll hall of fame

Voting closes in April 2021 and the winner will be announced in May 2021.

On February 10, 2021, Pulse Nigerian reported that Nigerian legend, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti alongside American stars, Jay Z and Mary J. Blige, have been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2021.

The same day, Nigerian celebrities and other Nigerians have started campaigning for Fela to be inducted. The number of inductees varies; the highest number of inductees yet came in 2019 - which saw seven new inductees.


Some of those Nigerian celebrities include Burna Boy, Don Jazzy, Mr. Macaroni, Banky W, Femi Kuti and more. Over the past 20 hours alone, Fela has gone from the bottom of the list to the top of the pile. As at 2:30 pm on February 21, 2021, Fela held a 10,000-vote lead.


Voting closes in April 30, 2021 and the inductees will be announced in May 2021.


As Pulse Nigeria reported on February 11, 2021, an artist becomes eligible for nomination into the hall of fame after 25 years of release of their bodies of work. Fela's first body of work was released over 40 years ago. Kate Bush, Chaka Khan, Tina Turner, New York Dolls, Dionne Warwick and more.

If Fela gets the nod, he will be the first Nigerian artist in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. If Jay Z gets it, he will follow Hip-Hop icons like 2Pac, B.I.G, Grandmaster Flash and The Furious 5 and Run DMC in the esteemed company.
