Media personality Shade Ladipo shades Rosy Meurer and Churchill Olakunle

Nigerian media personality Shade Ladipo has come hard on actress Rosy Meurer and her hubby Churchill Olakunle.

Ladipo says it is abominable for anyone to find their friend's ex spouse attractive.

Olakunle who used to be married to Tonto Dikeh recently announced that he had tied the knot with Meurer.


In a post shared via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, Ladipo wondered why anyone will be attracted to the former spouse of their friend.


"I don't even understand how you can be remotely attracted to a friend or an acquaintance's ex-boyfriend talk less of husband," she wrote.

"I don't care how attractive or helpful the person is and this church na even 3 seconds hill sef #WetinIKnow."


Ladipo's statement is coming barely 24 hours after Olakunle revealed that he had gotten married to Meurer.

A few years ago, Dikeh accused Meurer of being the reason her marriage to Olakunle crashed.

Meurer, however later came out to deny the accusation.

Olakunle and Dike had one of the messiest celebrity divorce in the Nigerian entertainment industry.

They have a son, King, together.

Fans excited as Runtown announces virtual concert in April

Nigerian singer-songwriter, activist and producer, Douglas Jack Agu otherwise known as Runtown has just announced the maiden edition of his virtual concert.

It is scheduled to hold in April 2021.

Making the official announcement on his verified social pages a few hours ago, Runtown wrote, "Join me on 2 April 2021 for my first ever virtual show powered by Live Connections. Tickets available from 1 March #CountdownToRuntown."

Runtown is currently working on a body work to be released this year. Thus, he is currently hard at work in the studio and making sure his virtual concert will be a success with improved performances performance, sound, stage effects as well as a surprise 'guest' performances.

Production begins for 'Castle & Castle' season 2

Principal photography has officially kicked off for EbonyLife film's legal drama series, 'Castle & Castle'.

The new season will be directed by Niyi Akinmolayan, Tope Oshin, Kenneth Gyang and Kayode Kasum.

Confirming the news, EbonyLife boss and show executive producer, Mo Abudu shared on Instagram: "Good morning beautiful people, It's wonderful to be back on set again. We rolled camera yesterday on Day 1 of Castle & Castle with one of our new series directors @kayodekasum."

Abudu confirmed Netflix greenlit production of the series' second season back in July 2020. Recall she shared an Instagram post announcing that the show will be available exclusively on Netflix in 2021.


Set in Lagos, the legal procedural drama which premiered in 2018 follows the lives of Remi and Tega Castle and their law firm. It stars Richard Mofe Damijo, Dakore Akande, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Daniel Etim-Effiong, Deyemi Okanlawon, Eku Edewor who will reportedly be returning for the new season.

The comedy drama will premiere on Netflix in March 2021

'Plan B' director, Dolapo 'Lowladee' Adeleke is set to debut a new family comedy drama titled 'Just In Time'.

Shot in Nairobi, Kenya, 'Just In Time' stars Kenyan actress and producer Sarah Hassan for their first project following their 2019 hit romantic comedy 'Plan B'.

The upcoming feature film which will premiere worldwide on Netflix in March also stars Ghanaian Nollywood actor, Mawuli Gavor in a lead role alongside Kenyan stars Supa Modo, Pierra Makena, Eve D'Souza, Martin Githinji, Lydia Gitachu, Kagwe Mungai, Jazz Mistri, Blessing Lung'aho, Andreo Kamau and Fidel Maithya.

Flavour is earning big bucks from performances.

Nigerian singer Flavour has revealed that he charges more than N10m for a show, a big step up from earning peanuts during his early days.

Having found fame with his style of music-a mix of highlife music, Jazz and R&B-Flavour has gone on to become one of the most prominent musicians out of Nigeria.

In his recent interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on his Black Box interview series, the 37-year-old singer revealed that he charges more than N10m for a show.

"It motivates me, it shows how people appreciate you," Flavour told Ebuka.

"Even in this COVID period. I was going to sing for couples, just them and their families. Sometimes I go with my guitar and that was all it took.

"They just needed to hear you sing and they paid something as I went with a band and all that."

Flavour started singing at the age of 10 and worked with a band for several years before he started to sing at local clubs in Enugu.

He released his debut album N'abania in 2005 before he relocated to Lagos to further his career.

The Enugu-State born singer has a total of six albums including his 2020 project Flavour of Africa.

American actor Michael B. Jordan has gifted his girlfriend Lori Harvey stocks in Hermès as Valentine's day gift.

The couple confirmed their relationship back in January months after speculations.

On Monday, February 15, 2021, the model took to her Instagram Stories where she shared the certificate of the stocks her bae got her for Valentine's Day.

It didn't end there as she shared some snippets from her first Valentine's Day with Jordan, revealing the 34-year-old actor rented out an aquarium and added romantic touches like rose petals and candles.

Rinu Oduala steps down from Lagos #EndSARS panel says she won't be part of a cover-up

Rinu Oduala, one of the organisers of the #EndSARS protests, has withdrawn from the Lagos judicial panel on police brutality and human rights abuse.

Oduala was one of the youth representatives on the panel set up in the wake of the #EndSARS protests.

At its sitting on Saturday, the panel had granted approval for the return of Lekki tollgate to the control of Lekki Concession Company (LCC).

Oduala and Temitope Majekodunmi, another youth representative, had criticised the decision, saying their views were not reflected in the panel's ruling.

In a statement released on Friday, Oduala described the development as an act of injustice, adding that she will not be part of a cover-up.

She said: "My stand on the reopening on the toll gate remains clear; the state government and the private organisation which operates the toll have not been cleared of collusion with elements allegedly deployed by the federal government to target Nigerian citizens on home soil during a time of peace, without provocation.

"Justice has not been served, and as a representative of the Nigerian citizenry, my only recourse is to stay the course of justice. Let me be clear: I chose to honour the invitation to represent my peers and to stand as an example that any Nigerian has the right to demand accountability of elected government officials and that our institutions, however flawed, can still deliver justice.

"What I will not do is be part of a cover-up. I am proud that I took the invitation because some of the successes the panel has recorded so far have been incredibly powerful for the people.

"For the first time, SARS victims have had the opportunity to be truly seen and heard by the government, by the public, and by the system that allowed them to be victims in the first place."

Oduala said although the panel achieved "partial wins", they are not sufficient, owing to the fact that the government has not acknowledged its failings.

She said: "The panel allowed victims of police intimidation and brutality to have their day in the light of justice. They got to expose the violence that was meted out, to experience some catharsis from having the government acknowledge its failures and, in many cases, are going to be receiving some compensation, however inadequate for the disruption to their lives.

"This is further than we have ever come as a nation, and while this same rigour was not applied to the case of the Lekki Toll shootings, we can at least celebrate the wins that our brothers and sisters can finally claim in their fight for justice, and recognise that our collective will is more powerful than any institution.

"However, partial wins are not enough for me. I decided to join this fight because I wanted the government to recognise its failures and work to overhaul its security institutions. I did not expect piecemeal acknowledgements and efforts to sabotage vital proceedings."

Nigerian singer, Davido has revealed that security officers in his Estate are allegedly making plans to stop him from receiving guests.

According to the singer, neighbours in his estate are already giving him silent signals about it and speaking to him in a coded language.

He believes that this might be an indirect way of telling him that his guests are becoming too much.

Nollywood veteran Victor Decker found dead in his apartment

Ace Nigerian actor, Victor Decker has died. The veteran movie star was found dead in his apartment on Monday, February 15, 2021.

According to reports, his decomposing body was found on a couch in his apartment by his neighbours. His neighbours had not seen him for days and decided to knock on his door to check on him.

When he did not respond to the many knocks on his door and shouts of his name, they broke open his door and found his decomposing body.

He was then moved to a morgue after his family was contacted.

The cause of his death is yet to be known.

Until his death, Decker was an actor who starred in several movies. Some of the movies the veteran actor starred in include 'Lotanna,' 'If I Am President,' and 'Double Strings.'

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
