Linda Ikeji advises young ladies says, “Instead of searching for rich men, why don’t you pray to be rich”

Posted: 17 Mar 2021 01:00 AM PDT

Billionaire Blogger, Linda Ikeji has advised young ladies to pray to God to make them 'rich men' rather than praying for a rich man to locate them.

The billionaire blogger took to her Instagram page on a Monday morning to advise ladies on the best prayer points to pray to God concerning finances.

She disclosed that young ladies starting from the age of 17 years old should work their butts off to be rich because relying on a man to be rich is full of stress.

Linda questions, "what happens if the rich man leaves? The hunt for a new man begins. And this is absolutely hectic for ladies."

However, while dishing out her advice, she still prayed and hoped for rich men to locate all ladies.

In her Instagram post, here's what she said;

"Dear young lady, instead of praying to God for a rich man to locate you, why don't you pray to God to make you a 'rich man'? Because what happens if the rich man leaves? Do you start hustling for another one? C'mon, that's too much stress e

Start now at 17, 18 to find and fight for your dreams. Work your butt off to be rich. And work your butt off some more to stay rich. It's a bladdy, amazing place to be! Happy New week!

P.S; A rich man will eventually locate us sha ..as a bonus"

Uche Mefor, Head of Information and Communication of the customary government, announced that George Onyibe will be the Secretary, while Emeka Esiri will be in charge of the Legal Matters.

Mefor, in a statement, highlighted the injustice and marginalisation meted out on the Igbos across Nigeria, as the reason for the new government.

Dokubo said he hesitated a little, "but I thank God that it's time for us to do our duty and our service to motherland, I have accepted this role. I have dedicated my life hundred percent to play this role".

"I want to call on our brother, George Onyibe to come on board to join as the secretary of the defacto customary government of the State of Biafra. He will take care of the administrative, day to day administration of the Biafra State. I also call on our brother Emeka Emeka Esiri to take care of the legal needs of this nascent government.

"My brothers and sisters, the four of us will kick start the process, others will come on board. We want volunteers who are committed, we want volunteers because there is nothing anymore. We are the people who have volunteered to salvage ourselves and the rest of us.

"I also call on Biafrans in the various province of the Biafra nations in Aba, Abakiliki, Anang, Awka, Calabar, Degema, Eket, Enough, Nsuka, Ogoja, Oji River, Okigwe, Onitsha, Opobo, Orlu, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Umuahia, Uyo and Yenegoa province.

"We are going to proceed to set up provincial structures of government starting with provincial assemblies and provincial governance and administrators. Let nobody be mistaking that Biafra will be worse than Nigeria.".

Dokubo listed the areas the government will concentrate on. He cited securing the lives and properties as the most important.

He assured of investment in science and technology "to increase the scientific and technological discoveries, fabrications and making life easier for our people through science and technology."

Dokubo also mentioned education and agriculture as key areas of focus. He condemned the stoppage of food transportation to the South.

"You are all aware of the recent plot where they decided to stop food from the north. They failed woefully, they will continue to fail. The Government of Biafra States will look to make sure that we only eat what we can produce.

"Nobody can stop us. Nobody can blockade us as they did in the first war. We're not going to fight any war with anybody, we're walking to freedom. We will not shoot any gun with them, they will prepare their weapon but they will have nobody to kill with their weapon," he added..

Lady accused of dumping her husband to marry Alaafin of Oyo reacts

Posted: 16 Mar 2021 04:30 AM PDT

The lady accused to be the new wife of the Alaafin of Oyo,  Lamidi Olayiwola has finally reacted to the rife allegations making the rounds on the internet.

Recall the paramount of Oyo state was said to have taken a new wife from the eastern part of the country. This reports made social media users mistake the new bride for another lady who bears the same name as her on social media.

Read her debunking statement below:

DISCLAIMER!!!

My name is Chioma Nwadike, yesterday, being the 12th day of march 2021, my attention was drawn to online media posts making rounds of my "marriage" allegedly to the Alaafin of Oyo as his 13th wife.

2/ Recall that about a day or two ago the news that the Alaafin had allegedly taken a 13th wife whose name happened to be Chioma was on social media, which news I read as well.

3/It is rather pathetic that yesterday the 12th day of March 2021, I discovered that my photos were attached to the marriage news of the Alaafin and has since been heavily publicized by blogs and news pages across various social media platforms.

4/I trended wrongly on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as I was taken out to be a person who left her husband to be the Alaafin's 13th wife. These false posts are all over the Internet and have amassed an unquantifiable number of views by Nigerians, including my friends& family

5/However, at the risk of not joining issues with these bloggers who have already achieved their nefarious aim of bringing my name to disrepute, I am putting out this statement, categorically debunking these rumors

6/…to be false, unfounded and malicious as this is clearly the work of mischief makers, who would stop at nothing to malign my image

7/The person in the picture is my estranged husband from a failed marriage, the aftermath of which, I am still suffering till today. These past few months have been a turbulent ride for me, evident by this current false news and defamatory posts.

8/I have also despite this instant news, received other numerous defamatory posts/comments on my Facebook account, people have sent private inbox messages to my friends, and even fake social media accounts have been created to troll and harass me

9/which made me deactivate my Facebook page, just so I can have a semblance of peace. Sadly, reasons for these acts, merely orchestrated to malign and dent my image remains inexplicable to me.

10/It is rather unfathomable as to why I am being singled out to be diminished in the eyes of Nigerians even whilst still going through the emotional and painful rigors of an extremely messy divorce proceeding, which is still pending in court…

11/…and wherein my estranged husband and his Lawyers have applied every dilatory tactic to stall the conclusion of the case for reasons I wouldn't want to state now. Regrettably, these false and rather demeaning publications have now perturbed and created an unnecessarily…

12/…traumatic environment amongst my family, friends and colleagues who found it very hard to harbor the believe that I purportedly jilted my estranged husband in order to marry the Alaafin of Oyo.

/To all those who have worked tirelessly since yesterday to help debunk this unfounded news making waves in the social media space in whatever way they can, I am eternally grateful for believing in me and protecting my vulnerabilities as a Nigerian woman…

who is prone to ridicule and shame to the highest bidders.
I am consulting with my Lawyers, who will, in due course, commence appropriate legal actions.
Thank you.

Bishop Oyedepo - Why Nigeria has not changed for better

Posted: 16 Mar 2021 03:30 AM PDT

The Chancellor/ Chairman, Board of Regents, Covenant University, Ota, Ogun State, Dr David Oyedepo, has said Nigeria has not changed for the better because only changed people can change their environment and their world.

Oyedepo, who is also the Founder of the Living Faith Bible Church, therefore urged Nigerians to move nearer to God for more of His values to manifest in their lives.

He stated this on Friday during the 19th matriculation ceremony of the university.

"We talk about peace in Nigeria, but we are all witnesses to how far we are from it. When you are transformed, then you can reform your society. Only changed people can change their world and things around them.

"That is why here at Covenant University, our aim is to raise a new generation of leaders who will help redeem the battered image of the black race. We have a number of core values that we imbibe in our students and one of them is integrity. This is essential because whatever you are able to accomplish, it is only integrity that will help you preserve it, " he noted.

Oyedepo added that any system that is afraid to be different would never make the difference and urged the new students to be determined to make the difference wherever they find themselves.

On what is unique about the university, he noted it was set up to give a total man education based on Biblical injunctions.

He charged them to shun vices that could truncate their studies in the school.

The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Abiodun Adebayo, said the university was committed to raising tomorrow's leaders.

He charged them to focus on their studies and take advantage of the quality education it would offer them.

A total of 1607 students matriculated at the undergraduate level, while 155 did at the graduate level.

Telcos To Block Millions From Mobile Banking Over Banks Debt

Posted: 16 Mar 2021 12:30 AM PDT

Telephone companies in Nigeria have threatened to suspend USSD services over indebtedness by banks.

Millions of Nigerians use the shortcode platform to access banking services daily through their phones, but the telcos say they are being owed by the banks.

The Association of Licensed Telecommunication Operators of Nigeria (ALTON) said it will disconnect the banks from the service by March 15.

In a statement signed by its chairman, Gbenga Adebayo, and head of operations, Gbolahan Awonuga, the group on Friday explained that the withdrawal became necessary after its members and banks failed to reach an agreement on a payment structure that will exclude phone users.

It said after the issuance of the USSD pricing, determined by the Nigerian Communications Commission, the banks decided that they would no longer pay for USSD service delivered to their customers and requested the telcos to charge customers directly.

"The banks, however, provided no assurances to our members that such service fees charged to customers' bank accounts for access to bank services through the USSD channel would be discontinued post implementation of end-user billing by our members," the group said.

It said the removal of these service fees by the banks would have meant that if bank customers were charged only the USSD costs communicated by telcos per USSD session, bank customers will be paying far less than what they are currently being charged by the banks which in some instances are as high as N50.

"It has been more than eight (cool months since the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) issued an updated pricing methodology for USSD services for financial transactions in Nigeria," the group said.

"The methodology explicitly restricts Mobile Network Operators (MNO's) from charging the end user for the services and mandates the banking sector to enter into negotiations to settle outstanding obligations and agree individual pricing mechanisms to be applied going forwards.

"During this time, Mobile Network Operators (MNO's) have continued to provide access to USSD infrastructure and our members have continued to pay all Bank charges and fees to access the Banking industries assets and customers, despite the fact that obligations due from banks to telecoms companies for USSD services has reached over Forty-Two Billion (N42B) Naira."

ALTON said it continued to provide these services despite not reaching an agreement considering millions of Nigerians who had become more reliant on accessing financial services through the USSD infrastructure due to COVID movement restrictions.

"Unfortunately, as it has been impossible to agree on a structure for these payments with the banks that do not involve the end-user being asked to pay, the government has been forced to intervene to ensure that a sustainable cost-sharing solution is agreed, that does not disadvantage the consumer in the long-term.

"We deeply regret that we have reached a point where the withdrawal of these services has become unavoidable, however, we remain committed to working closely with the relevant Ministries and regulators to resolve this issue as quickly as possible.

"To minimise the disruption to customers, and with the concurrence of the Honourable Minster of Communications and Digital Economy and the Nigerian Communications Commission, on the huge debt to the Network operators; Mobile Network Operators will disconnect debtorFinancial Service Providers (FSPs) from USSD services, until the huge debt is paid.

"Therefore, our members are initiating a phased process of withdrawal of USSD services, starting with the most significant debtors within the Financial Service Providers (FSPs) effective Monday March 15, 2021.

"While the withdrawal of USSD service is in place, we encourage our subscribers to kindly explore alternative channels with their Banks."
