Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels faces heavy criticism after sharing a throwback video of herself while stating that she literally 'grew under everyone's watch.'

Regina Daniels had taken to the image platform to share a throwback video of herself as she aged through the years.

In Regina's words;

"My growth isn't surprising because I grew under everyone's watch or is it?"

This was however followed with insensitive statements as some users attacked the beautiful 6th wife of a billionaire for choosing to marry an old man. Some users, however, adored the beauty of the actress across the years with kind words.

Reality star, TrikyTee has issued out a word of advice to individuals as regards generosity and magnanimity among people of the world.

The Big brother Naija star, in a recent tweet he made, affirmed that there is no valid rationale behind being the only rich person around, while others languish in abject poverty and destitution.

He urged people who are privileged to be rich to endeavour to help the less fortunate ones because one may not know who may be in a position to help you in the future.

In his words:

Kiddwaya allegedly falls out with a brand over commercial video

A blogger has reported that the Big Brother Naija star, Kiddwaya has actually fallen out with a pleasure protection brand, Durex over a commercial video.

The blogger identified as cutie_julls said that an insider disclosed that Kiddwaya rejected the commercial video because he didn't like the finished work.

The blogger further revealed that after much pleadings, Kiddwaya has stated that if the video is eventually released, he won't still share it on his social media pages.

Controversial investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo alleges that the popular Instagram blogger, Tunde Ednut was once deported from the UK for stealing a smartphone.

According to Dr. Kemi who is known for breaking unusual reports, the singer turned blogger used to reside in the UK until he was arrested for stealing an iPhone device.

Tunde Ednut allegedly spent time in jail before getting deported to Nigeria. The blogger who now resides in the US is said to have gotten his papers verified through a 'shotgun wedding' as noted by Kemi Olunloyo.

The DMW boss, Davido is set to get "e choke" copyrighted hours after Grammy Award winner, Wizkid rebranded it to "e don spoil" in a new video.

David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido is known for his free usage of slang that gets his fans mesmerized.

Slangs such as; "Tule joor", "who dey breeeeeeeth", and "e choke" made waves and have been frequently used by everyone.

"E choke" has been said to have several meanings, a few of which are: a way of showing gratitude to haters and can be used to react to any situation; win, love, joy, betrayal, and new invention.

Super Eagles Stars, NFF President Pay Courtesy Visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in Lagos House

Governor of Lagos State Babajide Sanwo-Olu welcomed Super Eagles players, as well as the Nigeria Football Federation president Amaju Pinnick to the Lagos House, Marina on Wednesday night, March 24.

The Nigerian national football team are camped in the state ahead of their AFCON 2021 qualifying showdown against Benin and Lesotho.

Gernot Rohr and his boys will file out against the Squirrels of Benin in Porto Novo on Saturday, March 27 and then return to Lagos where they will face Lesotho at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on March 30.

With barely three days to the showdown in Benin Republic, the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos state governor Gboyega Akosile disclosed that Governor Sanwo-Olu welcomed the team to the State House in Marina. The statement said:

Lagos State Governor Jide Sanwo-Olu has just received the Super Eagles players and the NFF chairman Amaju Pinnick at the Lagos House, Marina for an evening with Mr. Governor ahead of their encounter this weekend."
Footage showed NFF president Pinnick introducing the players and technical crew to the governor and other dignitaries.

Singer Teni, who just released her debut album, 'Wondaland', has a song titled 'Dad's Song'. She dedicated the song to her father, and it is one of the standout tracks on the compilation.

Speaking on how she came about the song, she opined she was watching her father's funeral clips when she got the motivation for the song.

In a conversation on the recent episode of #WithChude, Teni said the track, 'Dad's Song', is for everyone who has lost someone because some people never get over the loss.

She spoke further that when she was recording this song; she was sitting in her living room and watching her father's funeral, his body in the casket, her mother crying. The singer said she needed those emotions to record that song in its authentic form.

Teni added that everything she sang in the song was from a place of truth.

Teni also opened up that she was at a time in her life frustrated because she couldn't graduate from school on time.

Reflecting on what inspired her 2018 hit track, 'Uyo Meyo', the musician said she was told by her parents to complete her academics before delving into music full-time.

The chubby singer revealed she got the inspiration from the challenges she faced before her graduation and that the song, 'Uyo Meyo', was recorded on her way to the graduation ceremony.

She added that 'Uyo Meyo' means when others win and you celebrate with them, your own too will come. She noted she was happy when her younger sister graduated before her and when her turn to graduate finally came, she was happy.

Kimsa Integrated Services LLC, the makers of Kingsley Ukaegbu films has produced a new movie titled 'The Tale of Zozo'.

The new movie which is currently launched on New York's popular Times Square Billboard narrates the true life story of a young lady whose mother lost her life as a result of early marriage and sexual abuse.

The movie features some of Nollywood's A-list actors; Clem Ohaneze, Yvonne Jegede, Halima Namakula amongst others.

Mr Kingsley Ukaegbu, the producer of the movie while describing the effect of rape which is one of the major messages in the movie, said: "The pain and emotional torture attached to rape is one that is unexplainable. It lives with the victim for life. It makes some people vulnerable and more aggressive towards others or the children they have out of such misfortunes. It affects and destroy self-confidence and affect the psychology of some girls".

Narrating the excerpt of the story, "Zozo grew up in an unstable home where her mother had to go through some challenges including constant sexual abuse from her father.

"ZOZO's mother eventually died of an incurable disease which she contracted as a result of going into prostitution. ZOZO's father on hearing the sad news of his wife's death got drunk and was involved in an accident that took his life as well. The grandfather who convinced her mother into the marriage also became mentality unstable.

"This is how ZOZO eventually became an orphan who is now left to take care of her siblings. The singular act of the grandfather, has resulted to the misfortune of ZOZO and her siblings. Zozo's mother had a sad ending despite the crudeness and psychological trauma she experienced from the abused relationship.

"The story is to save a home, save a child, and put an end to child abuse, rape and create a free life everyone desire", he added.

The Tale of ZOZO is currently on Amazon Prime Video and hitting Netflix soon. The movie is been distributed globally by Aflik Tv, one of the biggest distributors of African movies/ African inspired contents.

Johnny Depp Denied Appeal In ‘Wife Beater’ Libel Case

Hollywood actor, Johnny Depp's appeal to overturn a damning high court ruling which backed a report that he assaulted his ex-wife Amber Heard and left her in fear for her life, has been struck out.

The actor was denied an appeal in his U.K. libel case against The Sun publisher, News Group Newspapers, after he sought to overturn the 2020 ruling of the tabloid accurately calling him a "wife beater."

After a highly publicized three-week trial in 2020, Justice Nicol ruled that the label was "substantially true" regarding his relationship with ex-wife Amber Heard.

The actor asked the court of appeal to grant permission for him to challenge the ruling, with the aim of having its findings overturned and a retrial ordered. Part of Depp's argument relied on further evidence that Heard had not yet given away most of the $7m (£5.1m) she received in her divorce settlement, which she had said she was donating to charity.

However following a hearing last week, the court on Thursday March 25 refused Depp's permission to appeal. Lord Justice Underhill and Lord Justice Dingemans emphasised that an appeal against the trial judge's decision on questions of disputed fact faced serious difficulties.

Lord Justice Underhill said;

"We do not accept that there is any ground for believing that the judge may have been influenced by any such general perception as Mr Caldecott relies on.

"In the first place, he does not refer to her charitable donation at all in the context of his central findings.

"On the contrary, he only mentions it in a very particular context … and after he had already reached his conclusions in relation to the 14 incidents.

"We refuse Mr Depp's application to admit further evidence in support of his proposed appeal and we conclude that the appeal has no real prospect of success and that there is no other compelling reason for it to be heard. We accordingly refuse permission to appeal."

The UK judgement came ahead of his $50 million defamation suit against Heard in the United States, set to begin on April 11, 2022. The actress herself is pursuing a $100 million countersuit.

Kunle Afolayan Takes COVID-19 Vaccine

Kunle shared a picture of himself taking the vaccine on Instagram on Thursday.

Nigeria received 3.94 million doses of the AstraZeneca/Oxford vaccine, manufactured by the Serum Institute of India(SII) and shipped via the COVAX facility on March 2.

The vaccination process began a few days later with health workers prioritised.
