Remi Surutu – 'Why I Slapped Faithia Balogun At A Burial Ceremony' Actress Finally Opens Up

Popular Yoruba actress, Remi Surutu has finally opened up on why she had slapped her colleague, Fathia Balogun as a burial ceremony.

Weeks ago, Faithia Balogun and Remi Oshodi aka Remi Surutu had quite a fight at a burial ceremony in Lagos hosted by Mr Bamidele Omosehin, in honour of his late dad.

An eyewitness who spoke to News Of the People explained that the drama started when Remi Surutu had walked up to Fathia Balogun's table at the party and gave her a dirty slap even though unprovoked.

The scene soon changed to something else until concerned guests separated them and frayed nerves were calmed.

On what led to the fight, sources had stated that Remi had been having grudges with Fathia.

Remi had reportedly said Fathia did some disrespectful act for which Remi had been looking for a means to pounce on her and 'teach her' lessons.

Other rumour mongers also added that Faithia may be romantically linked with the London-based celebrant whom Remi regards as her younger brother.

Another sources, however, claim that the fight is as a result of Iyabo Ojo, who fondly claims to be Remi Surutu's daughter and must have fed her with stories about Faithia Williams.

However, in a recent chat with City People, Remi finally explained that reason for her slap.

According to Remi, she does not regret attacking Faithia because Fathia need to be put in her place.

Remi explained how she once housed Faithia and her ex-husband Saidi Balogun but had to chase them out her house when they won't stop fighting.

She noted that she had taken Faithia in as a sister and they had been very close in the past.

However, all of a sudden Fathia started hating her and she became so full of herself.

Remi stated that there are so many things that Faithia has done to her but on that fateful day, she had wanted to teach her a lesson.

In her words: "My fight with Fathia Williams started when I began hearing all manner of jargons, she was saying about me. I heard she's been going about running me down in the presence of many of our colleagues and movie producers. She's messing up big time and somebody needed to put her in a place where she belongs.

"This is the person I took in like a sister. We were very close when she joined the industry. I can say it boldly that I was instrumental to her relationship with Saidi Balogun then. They were both living with me in Magodo. I had to send them out because they always fight, and they almost injured my mum.

"I don't know why she suddenly grow that hatred for me and started running me down. Till date, I still can not say what I've done to deserve that from her. There are so many other things she did that I can't say here."

"Faithia is so full of herself, probably because they used to deceive her, by calling her the Queen of all the Actresses, "Pelu awon tani". I decided to confront her and deal with her at that event, because somebody needed to call her to order. And God saved her that day and thank God for the intervention of other colleagues around. I told her "if you move closer to me, I will break bottle on your head"

"When people started calling us to settle it amicably, I told them I am not ready to settle anything with her, and I don't feel remorseful for attacking her. I have no regret at all, she's really messing up and she needed to be put in her place".

After receiving several backslashes on social media for underpaying their staff and trashing school certificates, Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has public tendered an apology over her outburst.

In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress offered a one million Naira bounty to anyone who will prove that graduates in their company are poorly paid.

She wrote: If you know any of my current employee that earns 30k or even 90k irrespective of their educational qualifications. come foreward with proof and get 1M+ Public apology
 
I want to apologize for speaking about meritocracy.
For speaking up for smart people who work hard but underpaid cos they couldn't afford to further their education.
I apologize.

A political activist named Otunba on the micro-blogging platform has stirred mixed reactions after declaring that the beauty of former Big Brother Naija housemate is enough to keep a man.

While gushing on Nengi's beauty, the political activist and lawyer said no man alive could ever cheat on the reality TV star.

Otunba tweeted: Thers's no guy on earth that can ever cheat on Nengi sha, damn.

The statement generated mixed reactions on social media as many Nigerians say beauty is not enough to keep a man.

Others also opined that the cheating DNA in a man will always make him act otherwise, as they referred to Beyonce, who, in all her glory, Jay Z still cheated on her.

Kemi Olunloyo – Burna Boy’s Twice As Tall Is Winning The Grammy

Popular Nigerian investigative journalist has revealed what will be the out of this year Grammy Award for. Nigerian international act, Burna Boy.

Kemi Olunloyo in a recent statement stressed that Burna Boy will win the Grammy with his Twice as Tall album having failed to win the award last year.

The investigative journalist went on to drop a hint to affirm her certainty on Burna Boy winning.

According to Kemi Olunloyo, whoever performs wins the trophy.

Federal High Court found Daddy Freeze guilty, ordered to pay millions

A High Court sitting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State has on Thursday 18th February, 2021 ordered that Mr Ifedayo Olarinde aka Daddy Freeze should pay N5m for committing adultery with his lover Benedicta Elechi with whom he bore a son Jason in 2015.

Daddy Freeze is to pay the N5m to Benedicta's husband, Mr Paul Odekina.

The presiding Judge, Hon Justice Akpughunum in a judgment which lasted more than 1.3Omin, ruled that Benedicta's husband proved his case of adultery against Daddy Freeze and Benedicta through photographic, documentary and electronic evidence and also by the admission of Benedicta Elechi herself. The Judge referred to Benedicta as a 'self-acclaimed adulterer".

It should be recalled that both Daddy Freeze and Benedicta were married to different spouses at the time of her pregnancy for Jason. Freeze's marriage to Opeyemi collapsed in the course of the extramarital affair and the marriage was subsequently dissolved in 2019 by a Lagos High Court.

Early in the extramarital affair, Freeze had gone to the social media to spread the falsehood that his wife was violent and beating him up. It has now been revealed that the theatrics was all part of the crisis he instigated in both his home and the home of his lover Benedicta to justify their unholy relationship.

Other details of the Port Harcourt Judgement are: -Dissolution of Benedicta's marriage to Paul Odekina based on Paul Odekin's Cross Petition. Benedicta was unable to prove her allegations of abandonment & sexual impropriety against her husband whereas her husband was able to prove his case of adultery against her.

Furthermore, the court dismissed Benedicta's prayer seeking for N1.5m monthly upkeep, 1 Brand new car every 3 years, Annual vacation abroad, share in the family estate and many more on the grounds that she did not establish any of her claims.

The court also granted custody of the 3 children from the marriage to her husband, declaring that she was unfit in character and behaviour to bring up children, citing her admission of adultery, her conduct during the trial and her statement that she would not recommend her conduct to her daughters. The court also ordered Benedicta to hand over the children's birth certificates and international passports to their father, Mr Paul Odekina.

The Judge further ruled that the adopted daughter of the erstwhile couple, who is a biological daughter of Benedicta's sister is to remain in their joint custody.

It should be recalled that the same Benedicta went on Linda Ikeji Blog in January 2018 to make wild and scandalous allegations against her husband but failed to provide evidence in court when occasion demanded.

Information available to us reveals that Benedicta was running a multi million naira food processing business set up for her by her husband in Port Harcourt when she started her affair with Freeze. Many believe that Freeze's ultimate objective was to take possession of the business.

As of today, Freeze's former wife Opeyemi has fled to the US due to threats to her safety and the impact of the orchestrated marital crisis and social media behaviour of Daddy Freeze on the mental health of her children. Following Opeyemi's departure from Freeze's house, Benedicta moved in with her 4 children in 2O16.

Counsel to Mr Odekina, Elder Wilcox Abereton SAN leading Salubi Ebojoh Esq, Victor Nwaiwu Esq, & Eberechi Kema Esq, although not fully satisfied with the award of N5 Million damages against Daddy Freeze, however applauded the court and hoped the judgment would assuage his client for the pain inflicted on him by Daddy Freeze. He was happy that Justice has finally been served in spite of Daddy Freeze and Benedicta's media lies.

Benedicta and Daddy Freeze were represented by B.J. Monsigha Esq.

Also a case involving impersonation by Daddy Freeze is ongoing in the Lagos High Court . The case was filed by Benedicta's estranged husband. We gathered that Freeze took Benedicta's daughter from boarding school in Port Harcourt and enrolled her in the wrong class in Caleb international school Lekki, Lagos, very close to his house, where he signed all admission documents parading himself as her Father.

Obafemi Martins opens up on fight with Burna Boy

Obafemi Martins, a.k.a Obagoal has finally opened up on the brawl between himself and the African Giant, Burna Boy.

It would be recalled that a blogger alleged that Burna Boy and his boys disrespected Obagoal at a club, leading to an altercation that ended with Obagoal landing Odogwu a hot slap.

In reaction, Obafemi Martins has come out to plead with his fans, and popular rapper, CDQ, who took the matter personally by calling out the Grammy-nominated singer.

According to Martins, the issue is not as bad as the rumor claimed and for this reason, he wants the whole matter to die down.

Veteran actor and broadcaster, Sadiq Daba is dead after years of fighting for his life with both leukemia and prostate cancer disease.

This announcement of his passing was confirmed by one of his colleagues and film producer, Kunle Afolayan who got the news from the deceased's wife and son, Channels TV reports.

Daba has been on serious medical conditions for years and got support from Nigerians including a billionaire, Femi Otedola who catered for his treatment abroad.

Sadiq Daba was a notable icon at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in the 1980s and also featured in several TV series, also in Kunle Afolayan's films including 'Cock Crow at Dawn' and 'October 1st'.

CDQ releases disturbing video of how 'Burna Boy and his boys stabbed him

Popular rapper, CDQ Olowo has released footage of himself bleeding profusely after getting stabbed by Burna Boy and his men on the issue of disrespecting the professional footballer, Obafemi Martins

In earlier reports, CDQ called out the self-acclaimed African Giant for creating a scene at a popular bar where he confronted Obagoal alongside his boys.

In an exclusive footage acquired by Pulse Nigeria, it captured the voice of the rapper and a bloody scene while narrating how Burna Boy and his men allegedly stabbed in the heat of the fight.

Speaking in Yoruba, he says, "It was Burna and his squad, led by a guy named Richie who later got stabbed as well. I made sure that he bled. [My People] questioned Burna's sanity to do this in Lagos; not Port Harcourt or London."

According to CDQ, he landed in the hospital where he was resuscitated back to life.

Former Super Eagles captain Mikel Obi has been named the richest Nigerian footballer at the moment with a net worth of about ₦23 billion.

The 33-year-old who currently plays for English club Stoke City made most of his fortunes from football during his stint at Premier League club Chelsea.

The former Manchester United striker currently plays for Al Shabab of Saudi Arabia where he has scored 3 goals in 5 matches since he joined earlier this year.

Wizkid reveals he started his record label, Starboy in his living room

Superstar singer and songwriter, Wizkid has narrated how his record label, Starboy Entertainment started from scratch without finance.

According to Wizzy, Starboy Entertainment was founded in 2013 alongside a couple of music producers in the living room with determination.

Narrating this during chitchat on Instagram live, Wizkid stated that he is proud of himself and those who believed in his dream.

"I started that business (Starboy Entertainment) with my friends. We literally started it in my living room. We didn't even have much.

Actress, Uche Elendu slams troll who accused her of lying about her daughter’s age

Nollywood actress, Uche Elendu has bounced hard on a comment of an Instagram user, who accused her of constantly lying about her daughter's age.

According to the IG user identified as @dato_sharon_cross, while reacting to the photo the actress recently posted of herself and her daughter, asserted that she is fond of constantly lying about the age of her daughter.

She also said that the actress continually claimed for quite a long time that her daughter is 4 years old, when in real sense should have passed that.

In the words of the Instagram User:

"Uche your daughter should be 6 years old you give birth to her in 2015 in America before IU give birth to my daughter months later every year she is 4 years old na wa000 na some mothers dey drop their children age teaching them how to lie with age na waooo you were with my baby father in the US when you had your baby shower….why removing two years every year 4 years not nice what do u gain in doin that"

In response to this, Uche Elendu said:
