Chief Leemon Ikpea is still happily married to Tina Ikpea despite rumours – family friend

Posted: 09 Mar 2021 12:30 AM PST

Here's a statement from a family friend on the Ikpea family drama…

It sounded too horrid to be true but the rumour went viral all the same that billionaire businessman, Chief Leemon Ikpea is not married to his beautiful wife, Mrs Tina Ikpea.

Even though the rumour was false, reporters pounced on it not minding the consequences of reporting lies as truth. Investigations revealed that the children who had an axe to grind with their father are spreading the falsehood.

Contrary to the gossip, Chief Leemon and Tina Ikpea have been happily married for over 20 years with wonderful children.

Rather than report the news as it is, mischief makers and quacks went to town with the malicious rumour that Mrs Tina Ikpea is a 'side chick'. They are happily married!

Ordinarily, Chief will not join issues with anyone, even his children, but it is better to set the record straight. Bloggers should always find a way to balance their stories instead of resorting to name calling.

Fani-Kayode beat me during pregnancy and drugged me- Ex-wife, Precious Chikwendu, tells court

Posted: 09 Mar 2021 12:00 AM PST

Precious Chikwendu, a former beauty queen and ex-wife of former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has accused him of beating her up on several occasions even while she was pregnant

Chikwendu made the allegations in an affidavit she deposed to in support of an originating motion brought pursuant to Section 69 of the Child's Rights Act, 2003 at the FCT High Court, Abuja.

In the court papers, the mother of four boys said she met Fani-Kayode in 2014 at the peak of her career and fell in love with him.

"From the early days of our relationship, the respondent (Fani-Kayode) has always maintained a lifestyle of utter disregard to my feelings. This was evident in the way and manner the respondent assaulted me while I was pregnant with our first son.

The respondent (Fani-Kayode) kicked me several times on my stomach over a petty argument that ensued. It was my friend, Vanessa, who was around at the material time that intervened at the nick of time to save me.

I had to leave the respondent's (Fani-Kayode's) house a few days after this incident. The respondent (Fani-Kayode) repeated the same act when I was pregnant with triplets, this time it was my mother and sister, Faith, that intervened"she stated

The former beauty queen alleged that on one occasion, the former Minister connived with a former Divisional Police Officer of the Asokoro Police Station to drug her.

She, however, said things soon turned sour between them as Fani-Kayode began exhibiting signs of paranoia. She alleged that the former minister accused her of infidelity and on several occasions locked her out of their home located on Aso Drive, Asokoro, Abuja.

"Sometime in 2018, in one of my attempts to leave the house with the children, the respondent (Fani-Kayode) in the company of the DPO of Asokoro Police Division, and her team of policemen handcuffed me and stripped me naked while someone from the crowd whom I initially mistook for a policeman forcefully injected me with a sedation.

That I was then abducted and incarcerated at a hospital for a period of two weeks. I was separated from my six-month-old triplets and a-year-old son at the time." she said

Chikwendu, who alleged that the ex-minister had denied her access to her children for several months, asked the court to compel Fani-Kayode to give her a monthly payment of N3.5 million for the upkeep of their four sons.

She said the Former Minister currently spends N1.8 million on food, toiletries and others on the four children every month while N575,000 is spent monthly on clothing. She said Fani-Kayode had continued to deny her access to the children in order to compel her to return to the marriage.

Chikwendu iseeks an order of the court "granting her custody of the four children to the applicant but with reasonable right of access to the respondent".

FFK in a response filed by his counsel, Oluwafemi Popoola, said he had not been properly served with the court processes and hence, he could not respond appropriately.

The response in part reads

"Except there is service or proper service of the originating processes filed in this case on the respondent/applicant, this honourable court will lack jurisdiction to conduct further proceedings."

Businesswoman Jaruma says 'Crossdressers are responsible for high rate of divorce in Nigeria'

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 11:30 PM PST

Businesswoman and "Kayanmata" merchant, Jaruma, has said that the high rate of divorce can only be linked to crossdressers in Nigeria and not the use of Kayanmata by single ladies.

"Kayanmata" which originated from the Northern part of Nigeria, refers to herbs or potions that act as sex or love enhancers for couples. The products have been trending on social media as the merchants openly advertise them and also post their clients' "testimonies" on the efficacy.

In a video she shared on IG, Jaruma reacted to claims that single ladies who use Kayanmata are responsible for the high rate of divorce.

"News was all over town that the high rate of divorce has been linked and traced to Kaynmata because single girls are now buying Kayanmata and now taking away married men from their wives.

There is only one Kayanmata, the original from the North. Have you ever heard me say we are taking away your hsubands away from you? Have you ever heard me say we are coming to take yiur husbands away?

Original Hausa Kayanmata from the North, we are home makers. We are not home breakers.

The high rate of divorce you are talking about can only be linked to crossdressers because crossdressers are the only ones who always say we are coming to take your husbands away.

Every single crossdresser in Nigeria, that is their motto."

BBNaija Dorathy – 'I struggle to get perfect bra'

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 11:00 PM PST

BBNaija finalist, Dorathy Bachor, has disclosed how she struggles to get the perfect bra which led to the birth of her lingerie line.

The entrepreneur stated this during an Instagram Live chat with showbiz personality, Ubi Franklin, during the week, where she also spoke on how the TV show has helped her to build her self confidence.

She said;

"I am a private person. I hate public opinion. The words, 'That's my opinion', annoys me because I am not someone that would sit down and want to have an opinion about other people's lives. That was why I stayed in my shell. However, that did not pay my bills and it did not put food on my table either. But, Big Brother Naija made me come out of my shell".

Bachor, who recently started her own lingerie brand, stated that the idea came from the struggles she had with getting the right braziers.

She said,

"When I came out of the house, I was blank. However, I took the time to study my fans. I tried to understand what they liked about me. I found out it was more of (my) confidence. I wanted to do fashion but I realised that many people were already doing that. So, I decided to do something unique that I can relate to. I know the struggles of not being able to get a perfect underwear or bra. The businesses I do are those I can relate to and have a passion for."

Toning VS Bleaching: Get to know about these confused beauty terms

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 07:00 AM PST

Toning is essentially in place to even out skin tone. It's also a step in skincare to keep the skin tight and while bleaching is a totally different 'ball game', sometimes the skin needs to be catered too.

A lot of people will argue that they tone to fade discoloration and correct hyperpigmentation and it might just be what they need for skin to come alive but around here, a lot of people hear the word 'TONE' and they go off seeing it as skin bleaching which a lot totally loathe!

These quick pointers will get you started on these confused terms used in skincare:

Toning involves using toners, washers, lotions and even serums to cleanse the skin. They also help shrink pores. In some cases people tone (some based on dermatologist's prescription) to even out uneven skintone, correct dark spots, discolorations and so on.

Toning should actually be seen as part of a skin cleansing process because it benefits the skin, gets rid of dead skin cells and reveals a newer, clearer, cleaner and fresher skin. It automatically brightens dull skin as well.

Skin bleaching however involves using chemicals to lighten/whiten the skin. Skin bleaching products which comes as cream, soap, washes and more usually contain harsh and toxic chemicals that strips the skin, disrupts melanin production amongst others.

With skin bleaching as well, this can be prescribed on persons with stubborn discoloration and hyper pigmentation but it comes with a lot of side effects largely skin cancer when not done by experts.

Skin bleaching is frowned upon as it's become increasingly popular in recent times (with glutathione leading the course) and comes with grave reactions. A common ingredient for bleaching is Mercury which comes with poisoning, skin thinning, premature skin aging, even worse acne reactions and more when overused!

When it comes to toning/bleaching due to skin problems, a dermatologist should be consulted if there's a need to.

Editor's Note: This post does not in any way endorse toning or bleaching.

Do you really need to block an ex on social media after a breakup?

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 06:00 AM PST

How necessary is it to block an ex off your social media space? Is it over-dramatic to do so?

Remaining connected to an ex partners social media platforms has been likened to a situation where you leave a window open in your house so as to peek in on festivities happening in a neighbouring mansion, where you're not welcome in.

In a bid to find happiness and move past the hurt and confusion of being dumped, minimizing contact with your ex is always advised.

Popular opinion makes you believe that the farther you move from the person that hurt you, the easier [relatively] it will be to put the whole breakup wahala behind you.

But how true is this? Do you truly move on faster from a breakup when you block your ex than when you don't?

Isn't it possible that staying away and blocking that ex from your life will only make you miss them more and worsen the ache to have them back?

Afterall, absence is said to make the heart grow fonder. And realistically, not everyone actually ends up hating their exes.

Many ex partners end up being good friends who eventually do a lot of great stuff together despite the end of their romantic relationship.

Again, different strokes for different folks. People always end up handling their problems in the manner they deem most convenient.

And that's just right. People can and should always do what's best for them, so far they are happy and content.

My opinion on the matter
Personally, I think that blocking an ex can never be wrong no matter how you want to view it. The choice to cut them out of your life after a breakup is valid majorly because if the relationship is over and you need to move on from that chapter, doing away with anything that may drag you back to the past needs to be kept faraway from you.

Blocking an ex does not mean that you are angry, or that you never want to be friends with them ever again, or that you are resentful.

One of these may be true, yes, but that does not necessarily have to be the truth always.

5 reasons you shouldn't study in Benin Republic

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 05:00 AM PST

Probably due to the tempting three years of study as compared to the Nigerian four years minimum, the supposed 'cheap' education, the almost 24/7 power supply.

However, quite a number of Nigerians that initially went over to the Benin Republic to study returned back to Nigeria to restart their education after a year or two of study, and I am one of them, others graduated and ended up regretting wasting three years of their lives simply because they were ignorant of few facts.

With the stress of Jamb and Post UME, a lot of Nigerian students have decided to simply hop over to other countries to get their university degrees, and a popular choice is Benin Republic's private universities.

So I decided to create this list of five reasons why studying in the Benin Republic isn't the best option for you.

1. The Controversial Certificate
A lot of Nigerian graduates from Benin Republic private universities, find it hard to get a job in Nigeria after studying there, due to questionable standards. And they also have problems studying for higher degrees both In Nigeria and Other more developed countries.

I personally know of a girl that graduated from a Private university in Benin Republic and applied for a masters degree in the University of Lagos but was declined even though she supposedly had a Second Class Result.

2. It's not Actually Cheap
Sure they'll preach to you how it's much cheaper than the Nigerian private universities, but if you calculate the very poor quality of education and structure possessed you'll realize you are paying for too much for far too little.

Even when the exchange rate was supposed to be Favorable to Nigerians, after changing your Naira to CEFA, I assure you'll be surprised at the terrible purchasing power of the CEFA.

Other than school fees, you'll have to pay either accommodation fee for a hostel that Is usually too expensive and crappy, or do what most of the students there do. Pay for a room, that is far too expensive seeing how you'll pay not just the room but a caution fee that you'll never get back.

3. The Educational Loopholes
One of the oddest things I saw in Benin Republic has got to be students coming into the second year directly without any special qualifications, merely paying about fifty thousand naira to some lecturer, or how students with barely three credits in their WAECs get admitted without any hitch.

They, the private universities, possessed very little education structure and what little they had was extremely fluid easy to be manipulated by just anyone.

You'll see quite a good number of students there, that 'transferred' from one university to the other without transcripts, and the student will have an admission letter that will portray the student has only ever being in that school and grades created and entered into the book for exams the person wasn't even in the school for.

4. The Non-Existent Social Life
One thing Almost every young Nigerian dream of is going to the university, making a lot of friends and in general be a part of a bustling university social community.

If these are your plans and you intend going to Benin Republic to study, I suggest you re-evaluate your plan. I know of several private universities there with about three People in a department.

A very populated department may have over thirty students, and a good percentage of these students are the ones that have 'transferred without transcripts' or the ones that 'skipped' classes. Not only are their demography nothing to write home about, the buildings are usually very small and reminiscent of a small JAMB tutorial center.

5. The Beninese
Sure they aren't South Africans, but they definitely have something against Nigerians. They seem to possess a general believe that Nigerians are 'Wealthy Thieves' and will go out of their way to cheat you, and generally, make life hard for you.

I remember once in School I can't remember what exactly happened but a Nigerian student was demanding his change from a Beninese and suddenly it turned into a Beninese against Nigerians free for all, several students got their head broken and got injured.

One thing with them is that while they also have really great and nice people, a good percentage of them believe we are here to steal from them, with good reasons, and as such, they endeavor to steal from us first.

I am writing this out of my personal experience studying at a Private University in Benin Republic, after which I had to leave to come back to Nigeria to study and I genuinely hope that this helps someone out there not to make the mistake that I almost made.

1. It protects the brain
Cucumbers contain an anti-inflammatory flavonol called fisetin. And the importance of this fisetin cannot be overemphasized when it comes to playing a major role in brain health.

Because it improves your memory and protects your nerve cells from age-related decline.

2. It reduces bad breath
When bacteria finds comfort in the mouth, bad breath becomes a guest.

However, with the rich presence of water in cucumber, the production of mouth saliva increases upon consumption; which in turn helps wash away the bacteria that cause the odor in the mouth.

3. It helps reduce the risk of cancer
Cucumbers contain polyphenols called lignans (pinoresinol, lariciresinol, and secoisolariciresinol), which may help to lower the risk of breast, uterine, ovarian, and prostate cancers.

They also contain phytonutrients called cucurbitacins, which has been proven to have anticancer properties.

Over the years, cucumbers have been useful for diabetic patients. Cucumbers possess a hormone required by the beta cells during insulin production.

The Glycemic Index of cucumbers is actually zero. The presence of carbohydrates and their result on the body is measured by the quantity Glycemic Index.

Every food item contains essential nutrients in different percentages. The carbohydrates contribute in raising the glucose level, however, the carbohydrates present in the cucumber can be easily digested by diabetic patients.

Thus, the consumption of cucumbers keeps the glucose level in check.

5. It keeps the body in a healthy state
Cucumber is known to have excellent cleansing properties. Those properties actively eradicate accumulated toxins from the body system.

Cucumber is a good source of vitamin K: One cup contains 22 percent of the recommended daily intake of vitamin K. This vitamin is essential for bone health, as low vitamin K intakes have been associated with a higher risk of bone fracture.

Vitamin K is also important for improving calcium absorption in the bones.

7. It keeps the heart in shape
Cucumbers contain potassium, which is associated with lower blood pressure levels. A proper balance of potassium both inside and outside your cells is crucial for your body to function properly.

As an electrolyte, potassium is a positively charged ion that must maintain a certain concentration (about 30 times higher inside than outside your cells) in order to carry out its functions, which includes interacting with sodium to help control nerve impulse transmission, muscle contraction, and heart function.

History, marriage, food, and belief of Efik ethnic group

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 03:30 AM PST

It took the loving people of Efik over five hundred years of migration to finally inhabit the coastal area of South Eastern Nigeria, Cross River State.

It is important to state here that in addition to their present homeland, the Efik people also occupy southwestern Cameroon including Bakassi.

Although the actual origins of the Efik people seem to be unknown but traditional tales have it that they sojourned from Nubia through to Ghana and then Arochukwu in present-day South East Nigeria.

It was not stated how long their exodus took to get to Arochukwu, but what is known is that the Efiks lived peacefully as guests for about four hundred years (11th - 15th century) with the Aros.

They would later leave after a disagreement erupted between them and their host.

During the second phase of their exodus which saw them leaving Arochukwu, the majority of them left to Uruan in present-day Akwa Ibom State, while a few to Eniong and surrounding areas.

And just like their ancestors did at Arochukwu, they settled peacefully in Uruan.

However, they would again move from Uruan without history telling us the reason why. And when they did, it was in Ikpa Ene and Ndodihi they found themselves.

But this time around, it was a brief stay they had before crossing over to their final destination in Creek Town (Esit Edik / Obio Oko).

Creek town and its environs are what is today referred to as Calabar.

Until 1954 before it achieved autonomy, this area was formerly a trust territory from German Cameroon which was administered as a part of the Eastern Region of Nigeria.

It was only after their autonomy that the political separation occurred.

On the whole, the history of Efik migration and settlements seems to have three successive stages; (a) an Igbo phase (b) an Ibibio phase and (c) the drift to the coast.

And it is for this reason that the Present day Efiks are related to the Annang, Ibibio, Igbo, Oron, Biase, Akampkpa, Uruan, and Eket people.

Efik marriage culture

The old 'Fattening Room' tradition is the first thing that comes to mind whenever this subject (Efik marriage) is to be discussed.

Although greatly modified for today's generation, the fattening room tradition of the Efik people was/is the secluded training given to maidens in preparation for womanhood.

Six months before marriage, Efik girls are sent to the fattening room that they may be pampered with massages from head to toe; fed as much as they would like to eat to eat, and enlighten them on the ins and outs of marriage.

They would not be allowed to do a work.

Instead they are to eat sumptuous dishes, engage in meaningful conversation, and sleep; coupled with the three times daily massages that are meant to bring out the natural endowments.

Because it is the belief of the Efik people that a woman who is full-figured with a healthy waistline is beautiful.

In addition to the above Fattening Room activities, the girl goes through domestic training of home management (like cooking, child care, and housekeeping) and how to respect and make her husband be and his family happy.

It is the duty of the older women gives advice about their experience in marriage to ensure a successful one.

Also included in the training are the cultural dances (Ekombi), folklore, folktales, songs and other forms of entertainment. Skills in artistic designs on Calabash and other materials are taught as well.

It is here that she is also taught about sex with the intention of giving proper satisfaction to her husband.

At the end of the six months period, which also brings an end of the seclusion days, people all over are invited to honor her success in passing through this ordeal.

This ceremony is celebrated with traditional Efik dances (Ekombi) and other forms of entertainment.

The ceremony continues throughout the whole day and night as families, friends and well wishers express their joy and happiness with gifts and donations to the bride.

And finally, she and her future husband embrace and dances; welcoming their good wishers that have come to join the celebration.

Efik cultural dishes
As a result of the factors that characterized their settlement, Efik dishes are mainly those sourced from the rivers.

All Efik clans and sub-clans seem not be separated from river banks or creeks. And owing to this, their nutritional culture is also tied to the seas.

Among them are:

Efik Methodology
According to Efik methodology, Abassi is considered to be the Supreme Creator (God). And His wife, Atai, is known as the mediator.

It is also believed that Atai convinced Abassi to allow two humans (one man and one woman), which is also said to be their children, to live on Earth, but forbade them to work or reproduce.

The children were required to return to heaven with Abassi whenever he rang the dinner bell. These rules were established so that the Efik people would not surpass Abassi in wisdom or strength.

But just like the Biblical story of Adam, the children disobeyed and Abassi did not only killed them, He also cursed them with chaos and death.

7 weird things men find attractive in women

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 03:00 AM PST

In this article, we are going to discuss the 7 weirdest things men say they find attractive in women.

It is quite easy to guess what men generally find attractive in women- a pretty face, nice curves, good manners, and every other thing nice.

While we could go on mentioning the great, endearing attributes that almost every man would be attracted to in a heartbeat, we've also discovered, from research and questioning guys, that there are some weird things that men love about women, things you would never have guessed or imagined.

Some of these things are 'special' personal preferences, and some are a bit common among men... but they are all weird none-the-less.

Below, we list seven weird things men find attractive in women - watch out for number 3 and 4!

1. 'Weakness'
Not weakness in the sense of being unable to stand up and speak for yourself, or being spineless but as Francis puts it "I like it when my girl calls me to help her solve riddles, lift stuff or provide answers to things that confuse her. I think it's so cute. Makes me feel like a man"

Everyone loves to have their ego stroked once in a while, right?

2. Applying makeup
From the way men complain about women wasting time with makeup, it's quite strange to discover that some men actually love watching them apply it.

But Obinna really likes. "There's just something fascinating about watching my babe apply make up. I just sit down and watch her do all that stuff. I love it And of course, I love seeing her wear the makeup so gorgeously," he says.

Foundation for a relationship on fleek, maybe?

3. Stubbornness
Okay. This is straight up weird AF. Who loves a stubborn woman, right?

Well, Chibuzor says; "I love stubbornness in a woman... I don't know why, I can't explain it, I just do."

It's probably something to do with knowing a woman can stand her ground, and insist when she needs to.

4. Stretch marks
Never thought the word stretch-mark and attractive would ever be used in the same sentence but some guys actually find stretch marks attractive.

Folarin, 26, tells us that it's something about loving a woman "despite her imperfections."

Fair enough.

5. Wearing glasses
This is quite common and very understandable - women in glasses are usually very good looking.

Why this makes our list is because women who wear glasses sometimes fear they are unattractive because of that.

If only you knew how gorgeous those frames make you look!

6. No make up
"I just like it when she can feel comfortable around me without makeup. I feel she needs to know that with or without makeup, I find her gorgeous" says Ibidapo.

7. Clumsiness
While it is cool to be well-behaved, comported, and calm, quite a number of guys have also shown interest in women with clumsy, goofy sides - those who are not always serious or uptight and can make those crazy faces for selfies.

5 reasons why you should consider having a court wedding

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 02:30 AM PST

If so, you may be coming to the realisation that an elaborate wedding has many cons, while if you've looking for an alternative, there are many pros to having a court marriage.

We've pulled together the top reasons why all couples should seriously consider having a court wedding for the upcoming nuptials.

1. They save money
If an extravagant ceremony seems too overwhelming for your schedule or your wallet, getting married in a courthouse might turn out to be one of the shrewdest financial decisions you'll ever make. Registering a marriage in court costs just N2,000, compared to around N200,000 for a traditional wedding even on a micro-scale. You'll have many more options to keep the event within a smaller budget. However, even when spending less money, you and your partner will still be 'Mr' and 'Mrs' by law.

2. Court weddings are less stressful
One of the main benefits of a court marriage is that they can be small events. Sometimes planning a big wedding with a long guest list can feel overwhelming, especially when you feel the need to please everyone. With a court wedding, you only have to invite a few close family members and friends, and after the registry session, you can head out for a small reception somewhere. Alternatively, with the money saved you could splash out on a large reception instead, or reserve the money saved to help set up your new life together. You really can save yourself a lot of headaches by having a courthouse wedding!

3. You'll have legal security
While getting married is a romantic event, there is also a serious side to your union. Like a licensed church or licensed office wedding, a court wedding protects both the man and woman, but especially the woman, in law. While you may go into marriage expecting the best outcome, sometimes things do go wrong.

Having the legal security of a court wedding may turn out to be a saving grace in the event that everything doesn't go well. For instance, being legally married protects you against the practice of bigamy, which will be punished by 5 years of imprisonment. So your partner needs to get a divorce before getting married to someone else.

Note: Bigamy is when you marry someone else when you are still married to the person you married in court.

4. Court marriage is fast
Have you ever left a long wedding ceremony and thought it was lovely but could have been half the length and equally lovely? If long ceremonies aren't your thing, rest assured that courthouse weddings are real fast, and can be wrapped up in around 30 minutes.

As opposed to church or traditional weddings, there are no long sermons and songs in courts, keeping the events short, and also removing a few more items from your wedding plan list. Isn't that amazing?

With all the time saved, you'll have more energy for your reception, celebrating your wedding day with your nearest and dearest, rather than at the formal part of the event.

If we haven't convinced you that a court wedding is a great option, then I'm not sure what will! Whatever you decide, congratulations and best wishes for your big day.

5. There's no dress code for court weddings

One of the most expensive and involved choices when getting married can be what to wear! Getting married at the courthouse means you can feel more comfortable wearing something that isn't a white gown.

There are no strict dress codes, so prospective couples can wear whatever they like and everyone can be happy. All colours, shapes and styles are potential outfits, and you even have the opportunity to buy an outfit that you can wear again.

A more relaxed dress code not only means that you can express your own style more fully, you can also choose an option that does not cost the earth!

'If I have to think before I can find female artists, it means we have a problem,' Prince Kaybee tells Cuppy

Posted: 08 Mar 2021 01:30 AM PST

This week, South African DJ and producer, Prince Kaybee joins Cuppy on Apple Music 1 to talk about his latest album, The 4th Republic, how he selects collaborators, and Project Hope, an artist incubation programme he founded for women in the music industry.

Prince Kaybee on being a producer and DJ

Balancing between being a producer and a DJ, I think you do need other people's music. For me, it goes way deeper than just playing my own music. Like I said, it inspires me a lot for me to hear things I don't know in other people's songs, critically. So, I literally go back to my template and try and see where I can improve myself."

Prince Kaybee on working with Nokwazi on 'Ebabayo'

"One of the things that I really do and give people, especially someone I'm going to collaborate with, is a lot of room to express themselves, as much room as possible. Because I think on the song, if you listen to the instrumental, it doesn't really give you a happy party mood.

"It's a very sad song, sad strings, very emotional song. And I think Nokwazi with the gimmicks and the hook, she came up to try and live up the song, give it some life."

Prince Kaybee on his reasons for setting up 'Project Hope'
Prince Kaybee: "'Project Hope' is solely attracting women. And I feel like from the top of my head, especially in South Africa, if someone asked me who is the top female artist, I literally have to think about it, which is a problem, you know?"

Cuppy: "100%."

Prince Kaybee: "Yeah. I must just be able to call it out. Yeah."

Cuppy: "You're right."

Prince Kaybee: "If I have to think about it, simply means we have a problem. So we're trying to change that narrative and give people more female art. And I feel like women are more... Well, according to me, in my experience, I feel like women are more committed than men in anything. It's just that they need more-"

Cuppy: "Yes, Prince. Tell them."

Prince Kaybee: "…more exposure. Yeah."

Prince Kaybee on why 'The 4th Republic' is dedicated to his fans

"I dedicated this whole album to my fans because it's my fourth and they have been very engaging as to what kind of sound they think would suit me better and all those things. I know you kind of listen to everyone, but the hints were there and I took some ideas and got inspired by my fans.

"So I decided to dedicate this whole album to them so that we can have a conversation with the music."
