Paid Summer Internship with the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board Posted: 15 Apr 2021 09:38 AM PDT Our Mission The PCAOB oversees the audits of public companies and SEC-registered brokers and dealers in order to protect investors and further the public interest in the preparation of informative, accurate, and independent audit reports. Job Description The PCAOB has a paid internship position for summer 2021 for an Intern – Funding Operations reporting to the Senior Manager, Funding Operations in the Office of Finance at its Washington, DC office. The position will support the various processes required to prepare for, assess, and collect the issuer accounting support fees ("ASF"), broker-dealer ASFs, and registrant annual fees (collectively, "the fees") timely and accurately each year in coordination with Funding Operations team members. This position requires a proactive person who thrives in a multi-faceted professional environment and works professionally with others. The internship is expected to start in May 2021 and continue through September 2021, and the estimated time per week will vary between 20-40 hours. As an intern in the Funding Operations team, you will have the opportunity to work with several departments within the PCAOB on a variety of research topics, gain a profound understanding of the PCAOB's sources of funding, learn about the various functions of a Finance department and the PCAOB, and be a key point of contact for the PCAOB in dealing with external parties. Our internship program provides you with hands-on work experience, allowing you to develop a deeper understanding of SEC EDGAR filings, data providers, and financial markets, while developing your problem-solving and analytical skillsets.
