Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed fashion designer, Toyin Lawani, over the racy nun outfit she wore to the premiere of a movie over the weekend.

In a post shared on social media this morning, the former Minister described her outfit as anti-christ and ghetto rubbish. He wrote;

"Disrespectful, tasteless, tactless, shameless, bestial, blasphemous, heretical, disgusting, provocative, outrageous, anti-Christ and totally and completely unacceptable. This is not art: it is GHETTO RUBBISH!

Let me tell you a story.

A story of how I became a millionaire with wheel barrows.

In 2015 I was living in Delta as a houseboy in the Igbo apprenticeship system. One of my duties every weekend was to buy and have processed two old layer hens at abraka market asaba.

A thread..
There was a man, Boniface, who sold polythene there. He had a small kiosk & I'd often buy the bags to package my already cut up chicken from his store.

I had no idea the man has been admiring me. One day he opened up. He told me he just liked me and that he wanted to be friends.

I was wary at first but I thought, what could possibly go wrong? So I gave him my number and we became friends.

Every saturday I'd sit at his shop as my hens were cut & we'd talk. He looked poor & ordinary, but mentally he was a genius. A treasure trove of MONEY MAKING IDEAS!!!

He was way older than me but we developed deep respect for each other.

During our discussions we talked about converting the many opportunities that abound in this country, but the nearest to attainable one was starting a small scale barrow rental business around onitsha markets

We wanted to help people out and of course also make money to better our lives. Being the trader amongst us, I did my research. Ran the numbers, sought & got permission from my then master and thus we went into the business of making & renting out barrows.
I registered and became the youngest member of the Anambra state barrow owners & pushers association – yes thats an actual union that regulates the barrow business and it cost quite some money to sign up into. 😅😅
We started small with 6 barrows. I owned 5. Boniface owned one. We charged our employees; The barrowmen 200 naira (51 cents) per day for renting the barrows. It seems small but it's tiny, consistent drops of money like these, if properly channeled that creates oceans of wealth!

For people who just left prisons, okada riders who were banned from operating, poor farmers from rural areas, young people without jobs, wheel barrow pushing is somewhat of a last resort. It doesn't require much skill. With just strenght & stamina a person can make money daily.

Alot of these people go on to raise capital from this job to buy tools or vehicles or machines for other labour intensive jobs and thus improve their standard of living and rise a step higher in the ladder of society and above poverty.

We marketed them as polite, professional pushers to the market to encourage people to always patronise & them in particular and It worked!!

"GEMDECONQ" barrow men started getting more jobs and started making more money than they did before.
Truth is Nigeria has too many problems. Problems create a need for solutions. Providing solutions creates value and value is simply what makes people wealthy.

You don't need juju.

Look for problems & needs around you. Solve one or two. You too will count in milli milli. 😅

Don Jazzy claims he was in a relationship until one month ago

Music executive, Don Jazzy, has opened up on a lady he likes so much in Nigeria. The veteran Nigerian music producer and record label boss also said he's not aware if he is still in a relationship or not.
Don Jazzy revealed these when he was answering questions in an interview session on Bounce Radio, hosted by Ebuka Uchendu-Obi.

Don Jazzy's relationship status has always been very private, with no one knowing a single detail about his love life. His fans wondered if the 38 years old is married or dating anybody, but the Mavin Records' boss constantly says he's single.
 
This time, the music executive claimed he was in a relationship until one month ago, however, not sure if the relationship has ended or not.

The entertainment entrepreneur said he was waiting to see whether his supposed one month ago ex-girlfriend would call him back or not. He further added that there's a lady he likes so much in Nigeria, but not sure if she likes him too.

Ebuka also asked Don Jazzy about his skit life because it is not the Don Jazzy people knew, but he responded by saying there was no social media when he was starting out in the entertainment business, so people didn't see him as a comedian.

Comedian, Mr Macaroni – “People detest evil only when they cannot benefit from it”

Popular comedian, Mr Macaroni has insisted that people only kick against evil when they are not reaping from the fruits it yields.

He maintained that the only time there is an uproar or rebellion against wicked and evil practices in the country is when the individuals involved are not getting their own portion of the fruits of evil, but once they receive their share, they tend to lie low and give a blind eye to the calamitous state of things.

In a series of tweets, Mr Macaroni poured out his thought:

"I see now that some of us only hate corruption, nepotism, impunity and bad governance because we do not benefit from it. Once we do, corruption is no longer black and white. It is color grey. We give corruption a new name and we even justify it.

I have had conversations with some people who strongly opine that Nigeria can never be better. And they say this with all conviction.. trust me to argue with all my strength and might that Nigeria will be better!! However, it seems we are caught up in one big circle.

A friend said to me " Debo this one wey u dey do Na your business o.. if I enter government like this, me sef go chop national cake " I was weak!! Because I know a lot of youths have this mindset. To some, Nigeria don spoil finish. Make we sef go chop our own.. is this the way?

Everyone has a right to associate with whatever political party they so desire. But when it comes to good governance, accountability, integrity and service to the people for a better Nation, we should never compromise on that! Never!!!

The way things are in Nigeria, our focus should be coming together to hold government accountable and making sure they do better. We as citizens must also not be found wanting because he who seeks equity must come with clean hands. Party loyalty should not lead to recklessness.

2023 is almost here and politicians would use us against us!!! They have started work already. From celebrities, to social media influencers, to the kings of the streets, to the religious leaders.. it's one Big Giant Cartel!!! If we can't evolve into a force, we become pawns!!

Person like me don talk say No APC or PDP!! And that's a personal decision. I no follow anybody wey wan join the parties fight. If we all know what we are doing, we can collectively demand for good governance and work towards a better Nigeria. But we must evolve! We must!!

We must evolve into a force!! I have been saying this!! It doesn't need to be a new force! We can join one whose integrity has not been compromised. But we must evolve. Or else we just keep complaining!! We give it our best and keep pushing until that force becomes The Force!!

This will give a lot of people like me who have been sitting on the fence for too long the chance to join hands with a movement that they can perhaps relate with. Some of us simply do not want to dine with the past or present government but then, we can't continue to be quiet!!!

Corruption is Corruption! That you benefit from it doesn't make the corruption any lesser than it is. You are benefiting from a corrupt system that oppresses, kills, and leaves your fellow citizens in abject penury, rejection and dejection.

The greatest want of the world is the want of Men- Men who will not be bought or sold; Men who in their inmost souls are true and honest.. Men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole. Men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall. -Ellen G. White".

Hours after posing as a nun in a revealing outfit, celebrity stylist, Toyin Lawani poses in a hijab to trigger the Muslim community.

This is coming following the nun-themed photos shared by the serial entrepreneur which was followed by series of backlash from religious people.

In some of the criticism, Toyin Lawani was dared of not trying such a fashion trend with the Islamic traditions.

Seems the stylist does not care about the opinion of trolls as she comfortable pose in a hijab while showing off some skin as she promises to reveal more skin in new photos.

Nollywood actor, Godwin Maduagu has revealed to the public his plans for the future and how he hopes to become a father with beautiful children.

The actor had earlier come up to say that he felt like ending it all due to the saga that occurred.

In a recent development, he has summoned the courage to state boldly that he is not gay and have dreams of setting up his own family someday.

In an interview with Sunday Scoop, he said:

"I threatened to commit suicide because it affected my career, family and frame of mind.

"My state of mind now is that I have learnt how to be strong and overcome obstacles and challenges. I have also learnt how to find my feet again on social media and every other place."

While expressing how detrimental the tape was to his career, he said, "It has affected me in a lot of ways, especially in terms of family and socially. It has given me a stigma, reducing the capacity of my character and limiting me in every path I take."

"(Right now), I need promotions and endorsements to boost my career in the acting and modelling spheres. I want to go international and make my country proud. I have many plans for my career. I don't want to be limited. I want to become a proud Oscar winner to bring glory to my country."

Speaking further, he affirmed that he is not a homosexual; "To the media, it seems true. But to my personality it's a lie (sic). Though I am not in a relationship at the moment, I want to get married to a woman and give birth to beautiful children because someone gave birth to me.

"I want to encourage all entertainers out there to reach for the stars. They would surely face hindrances and they should know that gold passes through the fire before it becomes an attraction for all."

When asked how his family reacted to such an allegation, he said, "They know who I am and they know the son they have. They have groomed me all my life and they done have any questions about my identity."

The executive governor of Rivers State, Dr Nyesom Wike has received heavy criticism from people after he gifted Burna Boy a piece of land and money to build on it.

Recall that in a previous report, Nyesom Wike as a sign of appreciation and encouragement for winning the Grammy award, gifted Burna Boy a land in Old GRA, Port-Harcourt and some amount of cash to facilitate any project he wishes to execute on it.

Wike also promised a cash reward of N10M each to all the artistes that performed at the Burna Boy's homecoming concert.

This magnanimity of his has subsequently witnessed huge criticism and slam as people considers it as an irresponsible and insensitive act on the part of the Rivers State Government.
