Jennifer Lopez And Alex Rodriguez Confirm Breakup After Four Years Together

Weeks after denying report of calling off their engagement and going separate ways, singer, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have both confirmed their split.

The 51-year-old singer and the 45-year-old former Yankees baseball player confirmed that they have split, bringing their engagement to an end.

In a joint statement, the couple who got engaged in 2019 announced they are better off as friends.

The statement, shared with today, read: "We have realized we are better as friends and look forward to remaining so.


"We will continue to work together and support each other on our shared businesses and projects. We wish the best for each other and one another's children.

"Out of respect for them, the only other comment we have to say is thank you to everyone who has sent kind words and support."

The mother of one, Sonia who decided to share some mother and son good time together at an Italian restaurant shared a video of her son, Ace adamantly demanding Nigerian food.

Ace squeezed his face as he made his demand that got his mom laughing so hard in the background.


In the caption of the video, she stated that traveling with her son is all fun and rosy until he gets to ask for egusi soup in a foreign restaurant.

She wrote;

"You can't take him anywhere nowadays, traveling with this boy is all fun until he asks the waitress for egusi in the middle of Italian restaurant. Moti giveup."

Aphrodisiac guru, Jaruma takes to social media to celebrate 4 of her staff who recently got married, while sharing a mind-blowing video.

In the post, the renowned Kayanmata seller revealed that four of her staff namely; Pikky, Hauwa, Chisom and Jane just got married and promised to share their photos accordingly.

The self-acclaimed President's Girlfriend shared 3 sets of videos. The first was a video of her testing some expensive wrappers alongside two women. The second slide captured the moment she was seen fixing her hair as she bragged to have bought it for 375 thousand Naira.


The last slide depicted Jaruma as a spiritualist who was consulted by a woman who complained about her relative's husband not giving her due attention.

Sharing the videos, Jaruma wrote:

Nollywood actress, Biola Adebayo has shared her grass to grace story of herself and how she once hawked bread to see herself through to the University.

According to Biola, she revealed that she was famous for hawking different things including bread. After losing four admissions due to financial restraint, she revealed she also spent seven years in the University.

Here's what she wrote;

"This picture reminded me of my humble beginning … I hawked different things on the street but was more popular with bread cos that was the last thing I hawked as a young adult seeking for admission into Uni, it was a tough one, I know a few people can attest to that here.


"I lost 4 different admissions because I couldn't afford to pay, it took me about 7 years to finally got into Uni but today, I'm not just a graduate but a master's degree holder.
It wasn't easy but in all, I never stop loving God and hoping, and for truth, God has been very good to me…. I am not there yet but I am definitely not where I used to be.

"The reason for my epistle is to encourage someone, please don't give up on your dreams, no matter what life throws at you, you're going through those challenges for a purpose, just keep praying, put God first, be diligent, keep working harder, get better at whatever you do on a daily basis and stay focus……your light will soon shine."

Nollywood actress, Zainab Balogun took to her Instagram page to throw shade at her colleague, Ruth Kadiri who called out the organizers of the Eko star film and Tv awards for not giving due recognition to her.

Earlier on, Ruth Kadiri took to her Instagram to call out the organizers of the awards as she categorically stated that she was ignored despite her value and hard work because she doesn't belong to any clique.

In her words,

Chimamanda Adichie – “Nigeria frustrates me. I regret not becoming a US citizen”

Nigerian writer and author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie in a recent chat has revealed that Nigeria frustrates her and she regrets not becoming an American citizen when the opportunity presented itself.

She stated this in an interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on Bounce Radio.

According to her,

"She's Nigerian but Nigeria deeply frustrates her. She came to the immediate realization that she doesn't have to be a dutiful daughter or citizen despite wanting to share in the average experience of an average Nigerian. She made the choice of not being a US citizen which she deeply regrets."

Chimamanda further revealed that she's waiting for President Trump to leave the presidential office before she can apply to be a US citizen.

Nollywood actress and presenter, Rachel Bakam dies after battling illness

Popular Nollywood actress and TV presenter, Rachel Bakam pass on at the age of 38 after battling a minor illness.

The Kaduna-born TV icon died at a private hospital in Abuja on Tuesday, April 13 after battling for her life over a brief illness.

Mourning her death, Chocolate City Founder, Audu Maikori wrote on Facebook;

"The last chat I had with Rachel Bakam was on the 1st of April 2021. She said " I just received bad and troubling news, I am speechless" I asked her what happened- clearly alarmed and she replied " its April fools day bro! LOL" and my fear turned into a smile.

She then proceeded to tell me about her latest fundraising drive to empower Southern Kaduna women in the rural areas by providing seed money and equipment for them. We chatted a little more about it and signed off. Little did I know that lest than 2 weeks later I would be the one who received the "bad and troubling news" of her death!!

Rachel was a very inspiring woman, sister and mother- always had a smile, alway positive and very very clear about her goals. I met her probably 17 years ago in Kaduna through a mutual friend and later on with her then husband Israel Edjeren.

More recently, we were in the same Kaduna Creative group where we mentor, support and share opportunities for empowerment – and she was always very active, passionate about any project concerning Southern Kaduna and Kaduna state as a whole- but with a keen focus on helping the less privileged and the displaced refugees across the country.

The lady was always so busy I even used to wonder when she ever got to rest with her packed schedule!

There have been quite a few deaths recently, but this one hit me hard!!! It hit us all very very hard cos we lost a true gem, the space she occupied, not many can fill today because she had a special flair about what she did and that flair was driven by her passion for her people. She will be dearly missed by us all.

According to the mother of one who recently made millions on one of her movies 'Prophetess,' most at times, we are the culprit of the situation we find ourselves when friendship goes sideways.

"You complain that friends are bad and so you don't want to have friends. I complain that friends are bad and so, I'd rather do without them. But honestly, who are these bad friends that make us all want to do away with friendships if not us all?


Ṣé ẹ fẹ́ gbọ́ òótọ́, most of the time we are the bad friends we all complain about. All of us are guilty in one way or other. We've been a bad friend to somebody at one point or the other. So, if we avoid, cancel or run away from everyone who has offended us at one point or the other, what do we do with ourselves?

And so, when we expect perfection from one another, we ruin the beauty of friendships.
