Posted: 05 May 2021 11:56 AM PDT BSOS has launched of a virtual BSOS pop-up store, with a variety of departmental and college branded items for purchase. This initiative is also a fundraiser as 10% of all proceeds go directly to the BSOS Advising Student Emergency Fund, which provides timely emergency support to BSOS students experiencing financial hardship. All items are complete with official university approved logos. This store is open temporarily, closing May 31st at midnight so if you are interested in purchasing items for yourself or others we encourage you to do it now. Items will ship the week of June 21. Summer Research Internship with the Urban Institute Posted: 05 May 2021 08:00 AM PDT The Health Policy Center seeks a dynamic and highly motivated individual to work as a Research Intern for the summer providing support to projects on a variety health policy topics. As an intern at the Urban Institute, you'll work alongside experts across the organization and beyond in the nation's epicenter of public policy - Washington, DC. Your work will have an impact on real-life, real-time policy issues and discussions. How you'll contribute: The Health Policy Center analyzes trends and underlying causes of changes in health insurance coverage, access to care, and use of health care services by the entire U.S. population. Researchers address issues that arise from the inevitable trade-offs among health care costs, access, and quality. The center's focus has been on Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance markets and health care reform. The Health Policy Center summer intern will support research and technical assistance projects related to promoting health equity. Project work will focus on the role of the community and of health IT in promoting COVID-19 vaccination and substance use services. Responsibilities:
