Posted: 20 May 2021 01:00 AM PDT

Ariana Grande is reportedly a married woman.

The 27-year-old singer got married to her fiancé, real estate agent Dalton Gomez, 25, over the weekend, TMZ reports. According to "sources with direct knowledge," the pair tied the knot at Grande's home in Montecito, California.

A source told TMZ that the wedding wasn't a big ceremony, and there were only a few guests present to witness them exchange vows in an "informal way."

27 year old Ariana first announced she was engaged to her man Dalton (25) after she shared her engagement ring last December on Instagram.

The singer shared a photo of her hand as she wore her engagement ring with the caption "forever n then some"

According to People, Ari's rep said, "They got married. It was tiny and intimate — less than 20 people. The room was so happy and full of love. The couple and both families couldn't be happier."

"Both Ari and Dalton love Montecito. They spend a lot of time there," a source told People. "It seems only natural that they would get married at Ari's beautiful and historic house."

"They couldn't be happier, they're just so excited. This is a happy time for them, both sets of parents are thrilled," a source told PEOPLE at the time.

The proud mother of five took to social media and wrote that for one to be considered a man in a woman's world, he must be in a position to provide solutions while the woman supports him.

According to Akothee, there is no problem if a woman is a breadwiner, however, there is a big problem when a man is comfortable being broke and expecting his woman to fully support him.

The singer further cautioned young women to stop investing in men especially those they don't see a future with.

"By the way, let me be sincere to you and my apologies if it has landed wrongly. For you to be considered a man in a woman's world, you must be in a position to provide solutions. Women are meant to support you," she wrote on Sunday, May 16.

"There is no problem if a woman is working and a man is jobless. But there is a big problem when a man is comfortable being broke and expecting his woman to fully support him. Secondly, holidays feel romantic if it's a man paying for it, or what do you think? If not let's stay at home eat at home and use that money for our rent or so so so,"

"Women are suffering in men's hands. Some come with big investment ideas, and my dear Women are taking loans for their men. Haloo madam jamaa amekuguza wapi,"

"Ni hali ya kutumiana, don't waste your money investing in whom you don't see a future with. Madam keep your money for your future. You are too young to buy love. If you start paying for love in your 20s what will you do in your 40 50s? Some men in their 50s also still expect women to take care of them. Grandpa, where is your savings "

Mel B Opens Up About How Coercive Control Changed The Way She Dressed

Posted: 19 May 2021 10:00 PM PDT

Singer, Mel B, 45, has revealed how her ex-husband Stephen Belafonte allegedly used to control her wardrobe during their 10-year marriage.

Mel married Belafonte in June 2007 in Las Vegas and a year later they renewed their vows in front of family and friends in Egypt.

On September 1, 2011, Mel gave birth to their daughter Madison. She was already mum to daughters Phoenix, now 22, and Angel, now 13, from previous relationships.

In 2014, cracks began to emerge in their marriage after he was accused of physically assaulting her when she appeared on The X Factor UK's live Sunday show with bruises and scratches to her face and arms.

She had previously been rushed to hospital a few days before causing her to miss the live X Factor show.

Mel filed for divorce in March 2017, citing "irreconcilable differences".

She filed for a temporary restraining order from her estranged husband, too, over claims he beat and sexually exploited her.

Belafonte denied Mel's allegations.

She has now revealed that at first she thought her ex was being 'sweet' when he bought clothes for her to wear not knowing it was part of his "controlling behaviour. "

The singer said she wore white as Stephen 'took away her choices' when it came to clothes

Speaking to The Guardian, she said: "For the first year when I left my ex, I would only wear white because I felt I was clearing myself of that.

"I didn't even know what colour I liked any more because those choices were taken away from me for so long. And I just accepted it."

'It starts with tiny things. 'Oh, don't wear that dress – I've bought you this dress.' 'It wasn't like: 'Put this dress on!' It was: 'Look what I've bought for you! I saw you looking at it on Net-a-Porter.'

"And you think: 'Oh my God, that's so sweet!' when actually they're starting to take over everything."

Mel also told how Stephen isolated her from her family without her realising, such as discouraging her from calling her mother who she would usually speak to on the phone everyday.

It was only when Mel began speaking to abuse victims in her hometown Leeds that she realised how common coercive control can be within relationships.

Mel's new comments come after she described her marriage to Stephen as an "impossible situation".

She said she did find the strength to leave him but found herself going back to him.

Mel, who is now a patron for domestic abuse charity Women's Aid, said it was only the tragic experience of her father dying that made her walk away for good.

Speaking to ITV News, Mel said: "I lived in my situation for 10 years.

"I was married for 10 years and I did find the strength to leave, but then I ended up going back… it was just an impossible situation for me."

She continued: "There was a lot going on behind the scenes and then when I finally left, it was when my father died.

"I finally had the courage to say, look no more. I left and it's been nearly five years now, but it's tough.

"I've got amazing support. Women's Aid and my friends and my family…and it's really helped me get through the darkest days."

Mel has now made a film in collaboration with Women's Aid about domestic abuse.

In her interview with ITV News, which is to promote it, the singer said: "When you are in that kind of relationship, it literally feels impossible to get out because you're isolated.

"Some women don't have access to their phones, even their finances.

"Like in my situation, you are completely cut off from a regular normal world. What becomes your normality is living in an abusive relationship with no way out, but there is help."

She added: "I've been working with Women's Aid now for two years and it has been just an emotional but cathartic experience, because I get to sit down with women and I get to share my story.

"I get to hear their stories and the stories are very similar. So it's been very fulfilling for me and I'm honoured to have been asked to be patron of Women's Aid too."

Lagos socialite, Pretty Mike informs men that it's okay to rant and scream on social media when they are hurt or heartbroken as he disclosed that women aren't the only ones with such privilege.

He took to his Instagram page to reveal that men too get hurt but because society has told him that expressing his hurt makes him talkative or immature, he repressed those hurt, abuses, and cheatings and stayed in a toxic relationship.

Here's what he wrote;

"Na wa ooh…. This our society where a man can't express his hurt without being tagged a talkative or an immature man,how do u expect to know how many of us that have been hurt, abused and cheated on and yet stayed in a relationship ? Yes I've seen a couple of instances where the woman cheats and the Guy stays….

The fact that our ego, as men wouldn't let us come out and cry about our women cheating on us doesn't mean it never happened.

Often time, the ladies gain sympathy when Dey share their stories with their friends, on the other hand, if a man shares such stories with his male friends he gains Mockery😢…..

Lastly, it's easier for women to go online and cry foul and the response would always be in their favor; the usual "men are scum" phrase would surface, but if a man ever comes out, world people will say "He talks too much😳, Abeg alot of guys are currently dying in silence……

Oga Instagram community is here, feel free to express ur pain and pour out ur anger… You can't be forming Lagos big boy, working super hard to provide for ur family and Dey will still be Fu*cking madam up and down and u can't say anything because people will laugh u, if u allow depression kill u, Dey will cont the Fu*king in ur Lekki home and send ur kids to go and stay with relatives".

Reno Omokri reacts to reports that he abandoned his wife and welcomed a child with his lover

Posted: 19 May 2021 03:00 AM PDT

Reno Omokri has debunked viral reports that he allegedly abandoned his wife and welcomed a child with his lover.

A recent publication claimed that the lawyer abandoned his wife in America and welcomed a child with alleged US based lover.

Reacting to this, Reno wrote;

"Yesterday (Sunday, May 16, 2021), I declared my intention to convene a #HarassBuhariOutofParis peaceful protest, between Monday, May 17, 2021 and Tuesday, May 18, 2021, and this morning we woke up to a salacious and scandalous story about me, that I will not even want to repeat.

A Nigerian proverb says the bird flew at night, and the baby died in the morning.

The story is false. If you look at the platform that originally carried the story, it becomes obvious that it is being sponsored by the Presidency, to distract me from going to Paris, because they know that the Africa-France summit is an international platform and any protest will highlight the failures of General @MuhammaduBuhari.

That platform is notorious for pro-government stories. I am not the first perceived opponent of the Buhari administration to be targeted by them, neither will I be the last. You only need to visit the site.

I have never and can never engage in premarital or extramarital se*. I abhor it. God forbid!

I am so loathe to even respond to such a malicious attack on me by the Buhari administration. And I will not be baited to talk about private family issues publicly. Suffice to say that I have never had, and will never have a child out of wedlock.

To me, it is best ignored because the devil is a known liar, and that is who has inspired those behind this story.

Nobody can break my focus. After we are done with the Paris protest, my lawyers and I will sit down to decide if and when we should sue.

Lest I forget, do you love Nigeria? Are you based in Paris? Join us for the #HarassBuhariOutOfParis peaceful protest tomorrow, 12 noon, Paris Time, at the Temporary Exhibition Centre, in front of the Eiffel Tower. Buhari can't be globetrotting, while Nigeria is drifting. Go back and fix Nigeria!"
