I nearly lost my life while promoting Rema – Singer’s alleged ex-manager, Pikolo rants

Mavins Record signee, Rema is about to be dragged into another dramatic scene on social media as his alleged ex-manager, Pikolo calls him out.

Rema has become one of the biggest artists in the music industry ever since he came on board and he has not been shy in speaking about his rise to stardom.

However, Rema's alleged ex-manager Pikolo via a post on social media revealed how he spent fortunes on the singer before his fame.

According to Pikolo, he nearly lost his life while shuttling from Benin to Lagos just to promote Rema and another artist named Alpha P.

Sharing some throwback pictures of himself and Rema, Pikolo wrote:

It's sad that I invested my hard earned money on heisrema almost lost my life when I was shuttling between Benin and Lagos in promoting Rema and AlphaP . Today rema is claiming to have started music 2 years ago and this is one of the reasons most Edo men are scared in investing in entertainment in the state.

Nigerian producer Samklef is of the opinion that when women travel out of Nigeria to the western States, their true colors appear.

The producer took to his Instagram account to make this disclosure. This is coming after a man on Twitter had disclosed that Nigeria women end up filing for divorce after their husbands bring them to the UK.

According to Samklef, some women with razor blade mouths in Nigeria turn to swords when they get to the UK. He further advised men to marry their soulmates.

Nigerian Crossdresser Idris Okunneye, popularly known as Bobrisky has listed the items that qualify a troll to rain insults on him via Instagram.

The male barbie took to his Instagram account to state that people are quick to insult him, yet they have less of what he has and cannot meet up with his exotic lifestyle.

According to Bobrisky, you must live in Ikoyi, Lagos, and make hair worth 700,000 bone straight 40 inches to be worth getting insulted by you.

Here's a list of what he outlined;

Nollywood actress Anita Joseph is under fire for flaunting her husband, @Mc real fish and declaring him as the best man.

The actress took to her Instagram page to post a video of her husband and herself all loved up. In the post, she had disclosed that her husband, @realmcfish is the best man in the world.

Big Brother Naija season five winner Laycon was welcomed in grand style when he arrived in Ghana for a meet and greet with his fans and lovers.

The talented young rapper had a nice time in the West African country but he was asked to answer numerous questions about his relationship with Erica.

Laycon and Erica have not been able to sort out their differences during their time at the BBNaija reality show.

Nigerian ‘investment expert’ arrested for investment fraud of over N2b

A young Nigerian who claims to be an "investment expert" has been arrested for allegedly diverting investors' funds worth over N2 billion.

21-year-old Dominic Ngene Joshua, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Brisk Capital Limited, was arrested by the Special Fraud Unit, Lagos.

Dominic was arrested following petitions to the unit by several investors.

Joshua, who is from Ebonyi State but operates from Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, reportedly lures his victims via social media platforms and newspaper publications, by claiming to be a financial investor who manages funds for individuals and companies.

He deceived victims to invest money in Bitcoin, FOREX trading, real estate and oil and gas, with a promise of 60% Return On Investment per month on every fund invested.


However, funds belonging to over 500 investors were diverted to sponsor Joshua's extravagant lifestyle, exotic cars, luxury watches, real estates in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt.

According to the Special Fraud Unit (SFU), the suspect has confessed to the crime, but pleaded to be given time to return the funds.

The SFU said some of the properties and items purchased with the diverted funds have been recovered from him, and he will be charged at the Federal High Court soon.

Only months ago, Dominic Ngene Joshua, was featured in a business publication and a glowing piece was written about him. He was referred to as a "disruptor in the investment banking industry".

Popular Gospel singer, Dunsin Oyekan has revealed how he pulled through the death of his beautiful wife, Doyin Oyekan.

Dunsin Oyekan lost his wife two years ago with the cause of her death not revealed to the general public.

Nollywood actress, Rosy Meurer comes under fire after making an insensitive joke about desperate ladies and their style of readiness for marriage.

The mother of one had taken to Instagram to share a picture of a chicken which illustrates how ladies have opened their legs for men before finally expressing readiness for marriage.


Sharing the insensitive image, Rosy Meurer wrote;

A shocking story of how a married woman, kicked her husband out of their London home after falling in love with "Ramsey Noah", has been shared by a London based Nigerian man, Onye Igbo, on Twitter.

Anonymous Music, a top Nigerian record label, has released a statement on the arrest of one of its act; singer Olorunyomi Oloruntimilehin aka Bad Boy Timz.

It would be recalled that a viral video of Bad Boy Timz in handcuffs recently surfaced on social media and many of his fans have been asking questions.

A statement on Sunday by the record label said:

"The management of Anonymous Music is aware of the reports that an artiste signed to the label was arrested in Abuja for allegedly defrauding the label and other parties.

"Anonymous Music entered into an exclusive five-year recording and performance contract with BadboyTimz in 2019. By the exclusive nature of the contract, the artiste is not permitted to, among other things, engage in features, collaborations, recording of masters (songs), performances and/or production of records/recordings with persons other than the label, without the consent or authorisation of the label.

"The label since the inception of this contract has diligently sponsored, financed and promoted every aspect of the artiste's music career during this period. Under the management of the label, the artiste has received national accolades and nods from local and international stakeholders in the entertainment industry. We therefore find it quite unfortunate and a sad turn of events that the artiste and his manager, Jerry Adibe of Slippery Entertainment, are suspected of being involved in what appears to be the diversion of monies belonging and accruing to the label for their personal use.

"The label has reported its suspicions to law enforcement authorities; out of respect for the law and for the love of music and the entertainment industry. The label has no interest in this development beyond a desire to see that truth and justice prevails.

"However, we feel that it is also our duty to inform the general public (including promoters, producers, booking agents and other stakeholders in the entertainment industry) to exercise due caution when dealing in the industry.

"This is also to notify the general public that anyone who wishes to secure the services of the artiste should contact the label directly.

"Kindly note that anyone who deals with or continues to deal with the artiste or his manager, without regard to the caveat contained in this release, does so at their own risk. The label reserves all its legal and equitable rights, and will not hesitate to exercise those rights to the fullest extent of the law."

One of the hottest social media sensations around, Nigerian drag queen, James Brown, who found fame after he was paraded as a suspected homosexual, opens up on becoming a drag queen, his riff with Bobrisky and his time in jail.

In this interesting episode of LITV show, NaijaTalk Podcast with Dami Dawson, James Brown explained that he has always wanted to put on women's clothes and make-up since he was young.

On his time in prison, where he spent three weeks, James described those times as "hell," saying that he was beaten, molested, and was made to pack feces alongside other prisoners.

He also claimed that in prison, there are different grades, the VVIP, VIP, Medium Class, and Jakara, a crowded cell where he was kept.

After his release from prison, James Brown said he through series of therapy because of the traumatic experience in prison. He also disclosed that he tried to sue the Nigerian police after the case was dismissed, but later decided not to go ahead with the move after those who were arrested with him lost interest.
 
While discussing his riff with Bobrisky, he said the senior crossdresser didn't influence his decision to go into cross-dressing and went on to credits his success to Denrele and Charly Boy.

When asked why he didn't mention Bobrisky, James Brown said he doesn't want to get involved with him, because he "has a personality that's toxic to my mental health"

He later admitted that before he became a drag queen, he got some "courage and idea" from Bobrisky on how to take risk.

Sharing more details into what led to his fight with Bobrisky, he said there was one time, his senior colleague called him to threaten him in a very strong manner and that was the end of the road for them.

To get back at him, James called Bobrisky a 'snitch' and threaten to expose some secrets about him in the nearest future.

Kafayat Shafau-Ameh, popularly known as Kaffy, a Nigerian dancer and choreographer, has revealed that social media platform, Facebook, was instrumental in helping her reunite with her long-lost sister after 22 years.

Kaffy, alongside others celebrities have been involved in a Facebook Creators' campaign.

In a video earlier posted on her social media page, she said, "Facebook has become like oxygen for 'creatives'. There is something that people do not know that Facebook did for my life. If you read my book, there is a story about being disconnected from the last born of my family. Since she was nine months old, we didn't know where she was. The moment I broke the Guinness World Record and the news was all over the place, she used Facebook to track me down and that's how I found my sister after 22 years of being apart."

The 40-year-old also disclosed that her father and aunty were disappointed in her when she told them about her dreams to become a dancer. She added, "It got to a point where I was disowned as a daughter and I lost friends. Some of my friends said my mother told them not to play with me again because I was a dancer. But, when I broke the Guinness World record, my father was proud of me and he encouraged me to keep dancing.

"I chose dance when it was socially and culturally unacceptable to be a dancer. Dance had almost zero economic value. But, here we are today. An industry with global impact has emerged. There were people there before me. I just came to put a sparkle to the whole thing to bring it to the commercial existence that a lot of people had given up on. That makes me feel fulfilled. I just wanted to put myself out there. Facebook and Instagram helped me understand what people felt about my brand, content and lifestyle. They are no more just social tools. They are now an office. Dominican singer, Nfasis, has gone viral and stirred up reactions after he got wedded in a T-shirt and ripped jean shorts.

Aside from being so casually dressed for his big day, he also wore a straight face in all the photos.
On the other hand, his wife, Diana Vargas de Garcia, was fully dressed in a wedding gown with a veil and flowers.
 
Their daughters, who served as bridesmaids, were also dressed to the nines.

Diana shared a video of her husband's wedding entrance and added in the caption: "At least you should have worn a tie."

The singer and his wife have been together for years and they have two daughters. They are expecting a third child and Nfasis said on Facebook that it'll be another girl.
