Denrele Edun recollect memories of how he and his mother were assaulted by his cousins on his 20th birthday

Media Personality Denrele Edun took to his Instagram to recollect a striking story on his twentieth birthday.

According to Denrele, his mother and himself were assaulted by his cousins who were females, partly because his mother wasn't a Nigerian.

Here's what he wrote;

"20 YEARS AGO!
My 20th Birthday.
Less than 20 Days to my 40th Birthday, come June 13th.
Gemini SZN taking over!

This wonderful 20th Birthday of mine fell on an Environmental Sanitation day and as usual, we had to wake up at 5a.m to start cleaning out the entire Surroundings.
Since our Family House was located at the corner piece of Faneye Junction in Ebute Metta, it meant cleaning out the entire Stretch of "Gutter" that spiraled from the back of the house through to the next building.
And that job fell on the shoulders of the only male in the house: ME!


In the process of cleaning out the Gutters, I heard raised voices emanating from the house.

"Witch! Bastard! Go back to your country, you poor foreigner with your children. Wretched Oyinbo!".

I already knew my female Cousins were at war with my Mother but trusting my MFM Prayer Warrior of a Mum, she was one to never back down!

"Not on my Birthday. Please GOD! Can I even survive this day in peace and tranquility?". I thought to myself.

Next thing, my cousins waltzed out of the house still screaming expletives at my Mum, one slapped my lil sister on the face cos she was in her way and then they came up to me.
5 girls in total.

They started taunting me especially insulting my Dad's 1986 Honda Accord parked in the compound.

"Kalo Kalo Car! Poor dirty Indian! Wretched idiot! Oyiboyi (that was the name they used to call my Mum)!"

"You guys stop! Please! Abeg!"

As if on cue, they pulled up to me face to face in a semi circle. Head on, they started screaming outside the house,

"Stop what?"
Next thing, the five of them started flogging me. And I mean, with proper masquerade whips…. the ones with branches jutting out!

I was Angry. Frustrated. Pained.
And I felt like a Coward at that point because I couldn't fight back. I just stood there willingly as two of them began to push me around.
When they had their fill, they all moved to the house saying they would extend the same treatment to my Mother and Sisters as we weren't welcome in the Family House.

That moment I made up my mind;
NOBODY was ever gonna kill my HAPPINESS again!

Socialite, PrettyMike reveals how a girl he had a one night stand with pinned a child that wasn’t his on him for two years

Controversial socialite, Mike Eze Nwalie Nwogu, popularly known as Pretty Mike of Lagos has shared a story from his past on how a girl he had a romp with pinned a child on him for two years.

According to Pretty Mike, he met her in a club, had sex with her but was later informed six months later that she was pregnant. As the story unfolds, he further disclosed that the girl was also sleeping with his friend, Yomi.

Here's what he shared;

"Has the tots of leaving this Lagos or this country crossed ur mind be4….. I HAD a daughter who's 8 "atleast I wanted to believe she was mine" 😎…… I met this girl at my nite club, asin I just got back to the country not too long ago, she was pretty, very endowed as hell, she told me her name was Amaka💐, I hosted her and all, asin the nite was smooth, and we finally ended up at my home and we knacked and I settled her in the morning,💰 I was a bit drunk so I didn't bother replacing the condom after it broke🙈"you all know what I'm talking about abi "……


Let's say this was Decemeber that year. 6 months down the line, she calls telling me she's pregnant for me.. it was funny and I wasn't going to have it..she involved some of her friends, I was Rude and didn't accept it, not because I was being irresponsible but think am na…1,2,3,4 months you no tell me, until the 6th month…I wasn't going to have it.. Fast forward, Her friends got my friends involved and one of my guys "Yomi" took it upon himself to pressure me to accept just to reduce the drama.

Can u believe this girl was 7+ months gone and I caught her red handed sleeping with my so call friend Yomi, same guy that was advocating for her, At this point I made up my mind that they'd kill me be4 I will accept the child without a DNA test.. She finally Gave birth to an immaculate princess and it melted me. I don't know if it was Kayanmata she used on me den, cause DNA never crossed my mind until two years ago, this babe girl keep growing but looked nothing like me, instead I could see my guy Yomi's face in her.. I built some courage at went for a DNA test she wasn't mine ☹️,but I still wanted to help and asked my friend Yomi to come in for the same test, Lord and behold, Yomi wasn't the father too".

Nigerian music star, Teni Apata, popularly known as Teni took to her social media to share her experience after helping a pregnant woman.

Teni in her recent post revealed that she stopped helping a pregnant mother with her four kids. She disclosed that the two youngest kids refused to sit in their strollers and it became difficult to deal with the children all by herself. To help the woman, Teni decided to carry the two other children. She however revealed it wasn't easy.

Here's what she tweeted;

 "Helped this pregnant woman with 4 kids carry her two youngest daughters, because they refused to sit in their strollers. My eye don see. If you see me give me a hug I need it"

Lawrence Daniels, the brother of Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels, debunks the rumor of their mother's traditional marriage to a younger man.

The Daniels family faced heavy backlash after photos of a traditional wedding made its way to internet space as fans attacked Rita Daniels for giving her daughter's hand in marriage to an older man but decided to marry a younger man for herself.

The viral photos have however been debunked by Rita's son as he claims that the photoshoot was from a movie scene.


"The photos are from a movie scene. Social media can catch their cruise but they will be shocked when they eventually see the movie," he told The Nation.

'School of Rock' star Kevin Clark dies in bicycle accident

'School of Rock' star Kevin Clark has died after he was hit by a car while he was riding a bicycle.

According to TMZ, the child star was riding his bicycle on the Northwest Side of Chicago early Wednesday morning when he was struck by a car.

He was hit and killed by a 20-year-old lady. She was not arrested but has been issued citations.

He was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead after.

His sister said he was riding his bicycle back home before the sad incident.

Clark gained prominence in the 2003 hit movie 'School of Rock' where he played Freddy Jones, aka "Spazzy McGee" the drummer.

He was 32-years-old.

Tboss’ Sister Advises Rosy Meurer to Stop the Childish Games

Reality TV star Tboss' sister Wendy Idowu has taken to her social media page to advise actress Rosy Meurer to stop being childish and focus on her baby.

It all started when Rosy made a 'demeaning' post about women online and she got dragged for it. She later made another post to defend herself. Unluckily for her, the post got her husband dragged too.

Later, Tonto Dikeh made a post about ex-partners, and Rosy replied to her.

Rosy's controversial attitude got Nigerians talking on social media as many noted that she is just fighting herself. Taking to her Instagram page, Wendy decided to advise the new mother.

Noting that nobody is fighting the actress over a man, Wendy asked Rosy why she is focusing on people who don't care when she just had a baby.

Tboss' sister told the actress to focus on what she would teach her kids as hate and childish games are not healthy for her.

On May 24, 2021, Afrobeats pioneer, Fela Kuti's daughter, Yeni, clocked 60 and a number of dignitaries were present at her birthday party including the governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Reports soon made the rounds after a viral video was posted claiming that the celebrant's brother, Seun Kuti, had disrespected the Lagos state governor by walking out on him.

The video later caught the attention of Yeni who then took to her Twitter page to clear the air.

According to her, Seun got upset after one of the governor's security aides pushed his wife, Yeide.

Yeni explained further that Seun ran things by the governor and she also added that her brother is well trained from home.

"What happened was that the security detail in the course of doing their duty pushed his wife. He got upset at them understandably so, not the Governor. He even explained to the governor. I beg o! He has home training. @RealSeunKuti"

Alibaba Calls Out Woman Who Reported To His Wife That He’s “Openly Flirting”With Other Women

A woman has reacted after comedian Alibaba blasted and blocked her for accusing him of openly flirting with women on social media.

The woman with Instagram handle, known as 'theuniversalmoving' had left a comment on Alibaba's wife's Instagram account.

She told Alibaba's wife, Mary Akpobome: "The way Alibaba jokes and frolics with women on his page, will he allow you flirt and frolic with men on your page as well? Whatever is good for the goose…. Does Steve Harvey joke and openly flirting with women on his IG page? No way… Trust me… There are areas that should be off limits."

Alibaba saw the woman's comment and posted a screenshot on his Instagram page to blast her.

He shared photos he took with other women in the entertainment industry and pointed out that these are things artistes have to do but some people do not have the "maturity " to understand that due to the "capacity of  their exposure and education".


He went on to call the woman a "fool" and asked what she hoped to achieve by going to report to his wife.

The woman responded with her "defense to his foolish comments".

She left a post on LIB's Instagram account, saying that there's a difference between taking professional photos with women and flirting with them. She said Alibaba posted the professional photos he took with women "just to make him look like a saint in his half baked rebuttal."

She accused him of flirting with women, "romantically holding them very closely", and "calling them sugar mummy and sweet names".

She said those are different from professional photos and that is where he should draw the line.
 
She went on to say that most married men in the entertainment industry who openly flirt with women will not take half of it from their wives.

Efia Odo Reacts To President Akufo Sleeping At Africa Financing Summit In France

A video which showed moment Ghana's 77-year-old President, Nana Akufo-Addo dozed off during the recently concluded Africa Financing Summit in France has gone viral.

The video stirred up several reactions and one of such was from Ghanaian actress and media personality, Efia Odo who referred to the act by the president as 'embarrassing'
 
In a tweet she shared, Efia described the incident as "embarassing" as he was sleeping on the job.

Akon’s Range Rover Stolen While He Pumped Gas In Atlanta

Akon, popular Senegalese-American singer, had his SUV stolen while he was fueling up the vehicle at a gas station in Atlanta Tuesday night, according to police reports.

"It only takes a second for someone to jump in your vehicle and take off," reps for the Atlanta Police Department told their local Fox outlet of the high-profile theft, which occurred just after midnight at the QuikTrip facility in Buckhead.
 
According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Akon stopped at a Quiktrip gas station to fill his white Range Rover up with gas. He left the car running with the keys inside the vehicle, so he could fill up the gas tank. Before he was done, however, he noticed someone taking off with his car, which held valuables, including a $25,000 diamond necklace, a Louis Vuitton bag and his iPhone.

Akon called police, who arrived at the gas station at 11:59 p.m. He told authorities that a dark-colored sedan followed his SUV when it made a right onto Sidney Marcus Boulevard. Surveillance footage of the theft confirmed his account.

A police report stated that the video showed the sedan as it pulled into the station right next to Akon's SUV.

"Shortly after, you can see the suspect get out of the passenger seat of what looks to be a black, four-door BMW sedan, get into the driver's seat of the victim's vehicle and drive off with the black BMW following right behind," the report read.

Since his phone was left in the vehicle when it was stolen, Akon reportedly used the FindMyPhone app to track his phone and find his car. He was first led to Lawton Street in southwest Atlanta, but when police went to that location, they were unable to find it. The second time around, after the app determined the vehicle was in Forest Park, it was recovered by the Forest Park GA Police Department and returned to Akon on Tuesday morning (May 25).

No arrests have been made in connection with the theft of his car.

Pregnant Erica Mena Files To Divorce Safaree Samuels

Pregnant Erica Mena has filed to divorce Safaree Samuels after less than two years of marriage.

The "Love & Hop Hop" star filed paperwork to divorce the rapper last Friday in Fayette County Superior Court in Georgia, according to court documents obtained by Page Six.

Mena has demanded primary physical custody of their 1-year-old daughter, Safire, but she's willing to share joint legal custody with Safaree.

Radar Online confirmed that Mena filed for divorce last week. Court records list the case as a "divorce annulment."


Mena and Samuels married in October 2019. The pair announced earlier this month that they are expecting their second child together.

"More Life," Mena wrote in a since-deleted post. "Who wants that perfect love story anyway."

"Marriage – It's not easy at all. But having a family of your own makes up for it all," she said. "God I thank you for the protection and all the consistent blessings. I been through way too much to not be as grateful as I truly am."

Mena was not wearing her wedding ring in a baby bump photo she posted Friday on Instagram.

Safaree used to date Nicki Minaj. The two had one of the messiest breakups in the American entertainment circle.

Grammy award winning singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy will be making his first headline appearance at The O2, one of London's biggest entertainment arena in August.

With the UK opening up its public spaces after a year of lockdown , The O2, by August will be hosting some of the biggest and most anticipated shows, one of which is Burna Boy's "Twice As Tall" concert.

Taking to its Twitter account, @TheO2 made the announcement on Tuesday, and revealed that Burna will be among the artiste to take part of its welcome back series.

Eniola Badmus Asks People To Stop Tearing Actors Apart and Laide Bakare Responds

Actress, Laide Bakare, has reacted after her colleague, Eniola Badmus, made an 'attention grabbing' post on her Instagram page last night.

The  'Omo Ghetto' actress, shared a post asking people to stop tearing actors apart.

Eniola made the post hours after her colleague, Toyin Abraham came on IG live with actress, Iyabo Ojo to address her issues with fellow actress, Liz Anjorin.

Toyin Abraham said during a video chat with Iyabo Ojo that she never paid any blogger to write anything about actress, Liz Anjorin as the former had claimed. Toyin added that it was a statement a fan made that caused problem between them.

Laide saw Eniola's post and wrote, "Yinmu", as a comment. Some IG users felt her comment wasn't necessary since Eniola's post was seeking peace.

There are reports that Regina Daniels' mother and actress, Rita Daniels has tied the knot with a young lover.

According to Instagram blogger, GossipmillNaija, Rita Daniels, who is also an in-law to billionaire politician, Ned Nwoko allegedly married her young lover, secretly in a private traditional wedding in a village in Delta state, over the weekend.

An insider confirmed that her daughter Regina Daniels is not in support of the marriage and did not attend the wedding.

The insider however, did not disclose why the young actress and mum of one, has refused to accept her mother's alleged marriage to her young lover.

Toyin Abraham Breaks Down In Tears As She Addresses Lizzy Anjorin

Actress Toyin Abraham has finally addressed her lingering disagreement with her colleague in the movie industry, Liz Anjorin.

Toyin broke down in tears yesterday while addressing her issues with Liz Anjorin.

Recall that back in September 2019, an Instagram blog reported that Liz was 'held and searched for drug peddling' during her hajj trip to Saudi Arabia.

The report went on to say the actress was 'teary all through her encounter with the security agents at the airport'. In her response to the story, Liz Anjorin said her investigations revealed that her colleague, Toyin Abhram 'leaked' the story to blogs and she came for her guns blazing. Toyin at the time responded with threats to sue Liz.

Well, recently, the story came up again after Liz had an interview with social media influencer, Esabod.

It appeared during the interview, Esabod reigned curses on Toyin, her husband, Kolawole Ajeyemi, and their son, Ire. This did not sit well with Toyin. She had an IG live session with Iyabo Ojo this evening May 25 where she stressed that she had nothing to do with the drug peddling story about Liz whom she said she has met just twice in her life.

She swore by the bible as she insisted that she had nothing to do with the Liz Anjorin drug peddling story.

Charly Boy Involved In Accident, Speaks On Healing

Charles Oputa, popularly called Charly Boy or Area Fada, has sustained some minor injuries on his face after falling on his scooter.

He revealed that he suffered an accident but thanked God for healing him well.

The grandfather shared photos of the injuries he sustained on his face and wrote;

"See as I go fall on top my scooter Scatter my face.
Thank God am healing very wella.

John Cena Apologises To China For Calling Taiwan A ‘Country’ During Recent Interview

John Cena has apologised to China for referring to Taiwan as 'a country' during a recent interview with a Taiwanese broadcaster, which generated a backlash among fans in China, Hollywood's most important international market.

The controversy erupted after Cena who plays the brother of Vin Diesel's Dom Toretto in the ninth edition of the popular "Fast & Furious" franchise gave an interview to Taiwanese broadcaster TVBS promoting the film.

While promoting the upcoming Fast & Furious 9 film, the former WWE Superstar told TVBS in Mandarin that: "Taiwan is the first country that can watch F9."

Taiwan is a self-governed democratic island, but China claims it as its sovereign territory despite the two sides being ruled separately since the end of a civil war over 70 years ago.

China angrily frowns at any suggestion of Taiwan's independence and tries to punish whoever insinuated such by using their huge economic power to control speech on the topic around the world.

In 2018, the Chinese government demanded that American Airlines (AAL), Delta (DAL) and United (UAL) change the way they referred to Taiwan or risk sanctions in China, one of the world's biggest markets for air travel.

Following the outrage in China after Cena's interview, on Tuesday, May 25, Cena offered an apology on Weibo, China's popular social media platform.

Speaking again in Mandarin, Cena did not refer to Taiwan by name but said that he "did a lot of interviews" and "made a mistake."

"I'm sorry for my mistake," Cena said. "I must say now, [it's] very, very, very, very important [that] I love, and respect even more, China and the Chinese people."

China is the world's second biggest economy and the world's biggest box office.

The "Fast & Furious" franchise has received great success in China and the new F9 made nearly $136 million in China last weekend, making it the biggest opening for a Hollywood film during the pandemic.

Cena also has many fans in China, with more than 600,000 followers on Weibo and has been studying Chinese for years.
