Chrissy Teigen Apologizes For Being A Cyberbullying Troll

Chrissy Teigen broke her silence after being plagued by accusations of cyberbullying with a post on Medium apologizing for her actions.

The model and TV personality, known for her engaging presence on social media, was unusually quiet for the past few weeks after she was called out by Courtney Stodden for past cyberbullying.

On Monday, the 35-year-old took to Twitter to share a lengthy post she penned on Medium addressing the "VERY humbling few weeks" and offering her apologies to anyone she may have hurt.

In a blog post, the US model reflected on "the crushing weight of regret for the things I've said in the past".

Teigen published a series of tweets in May apologising to TV personality Courtney Stodden, who accused her of online bullying.

Stodden accepted the apology but said it could just be an attempt to limit damage to Teigen's reputation.

In her latest blog post, Teigen said she was privately reaching out to people she'd insulted in the past, though she did not say who.


"There is simply no excuse for my past horrible tweets," wrote Teigen, who is married to singer John Legend. "I was a troll, full stop. And I am so sorry."

"I took to Twitter to try to gain attention and show off what I at the time believed was a crude, clever, harmless quip. I thought it made me cool and relatable if I poked fun at celebrities," she continued.

"In reality, I was insecure, immature and in a world where I thought I needed to impress strangers to be accepted," Teigen added.

Teigen currently has 13.5 million Twitter followers and 35 million on Instagram – where she also shared a link to her blog post.

She said she was not seeking sympathy, and that she was "no longer the person who wrote those horrible things" after getting married, having kids and attending therapy.

"We are all more than our worst moments," Teigen wrote. "I won't ask for your forgiveness, only your patience and tolerance."

In 2011 Teigen, who was aged 25 at the time, sent Twitter messages to then-16-year-old Stodden, urging them to take their own life.

During that period Stodden rose to fame as the teenage bride of actor Doug Hutchison, who was aged 50 when they married.

Hutchison, who featured alongside Tom Hanks in the 1999 film The Green Mile, was divorced from Stodden last year.

Stodden, who has come out as non-binary, recently told The Daily Beast that other celebrities had commented on the relationship.

"People came out of the woodwork to beat up on a kid because she was in a situation that she shouldn't have been in," Stodden told the publication.

"There were a lot of celebrities acting like playground bullies."

The actress who disclosed that the basket had 12 fishes  in it, said that it meant that she bought each one for N1,000. She further hinted on relocation as the increased food prices might stop many from cooking.

Alaseyori Breaks Silence After Tope Alabi’s Criticism Of Hit Song ‘Oniduro Mi’

Gospel Artiste Adeyinka Alaseyori has broken her silence on the viral Tope Alabi's criticism of hit song 'Oniduro Mi eseun o'.

Tope Alabi while making veiled reference to Alaseyori during an event had said it will be wrong for anybody to tag God as his or her guarantor.

Tope Alabi said there was a day she wanted to sing the song, but the Holy Spirit told her to shut up.

Tope Alabi's comment elicited negative reactions from music lovers with the gospel singer trending across social media platforms.

But Alaseyori on Sunday during an Instagram live, repeatedly sang her popular hit song titled 'Oniduro Mi eseun o' (my guarantor, I'm grateful).

Alaseyori also sang other popular songs of Tope Alabi.


While she did not make any direct comments on the viral criticism of Tope Alabi, Alaseyori praised her husband for being a gentleman.

She thanked her fans for their numerous support, stating she has been cautioned not to make comments on the controversy.

She instead praised God with her fans cheering in the comment section.

Solidarising with her, over 5,000 fans on Instagram and over 190,000 followers on Facebook, including prominent celebrities Kate Henshaw, Small Doctor, Ijebu, Klever Jay, other Nollywood entertainers joined the live broadcast.

Alaseyori, who recently celebrated her birthday, also announced she would be holding a birthday praise session on Tuesday.

Fans in the comment section asked Alaseyori to post her account number as a sign of appreciation.

Popular Nigerian actress, Jaiye Kuti has revealed how the late founder of the Synagogue, Church of All Nations Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua appeared to her in spirit shortly after he died.

Jaiye Kuti stated this in a recent social media post, as she also stated that although she never saw the late charismatic preacher, TB Joshua in person, his spirit visited her at Offa same night he died.
 
Recalls that the popular televangelist and philanthropist died on Saturday June 5 after ministering in his church in Lagos at the age of 57.

She shared a photo of the late cleric and narrated her encounter.

Jaiye Kuti wrote,

"I have never met you one on one but your spirit visited me when you died. I was in Offa alone in my room. My head was swollen and I saw a gentle pass of Him. There was something good about that soul.

"Christ was poor but feeding the people and taking care of everyone. You did same to many. I know 2 people who truly gave their lives to Christ through Him.

"May the Good lord rest your soul in peace. Pastor T.B. Joshua."

She further added,

"When I visited Rome, the seat of Christianity, we were given money and food for coming to church. here we give everything we have to church who cannot OBEY the TENTH commandment.

"Go and read the tenth commandment, the last commandment that legislate thought. you are not permitted to think evil of any kind.

"No one can obey it. So why judge one another! For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God! We live by the goodwill of our neighbours."

Popular Nollywood actor and director Ugezu. J. Ugezu took to his Instagram page to warn his followers on the dangers of following a clergyman's directive blindly.

He took to his page to share a short note as he tells his followers to seek medical help and not holy water or anointed handkerchief when they are sick. He further disclosed that the clergy who sold to them the "anointed handkerchief" would not have died young if it works.

Former Nollywood actress, Caroline Hutchings in a recent post on her Instagram page has addressed certain issues that had revolved around her life as she looks forward to celebrating her 34th birthday.

In her post, she reveals she will be turning 34 in a few weeks' time, however she addressed the issue of people claiming she stole another man's husband which in turn never lasted. As they had a divorce.

Weird reactions as Google deletes Adamu Garba’s Crowwe app from the Play store

Nigerians on social media are rejoicing as Adamu Garba's Crowwe application has been removed from the Google Play store days after the Twitter ban in Nigeria.

The Crowwe app which has been described as an Instant messaging and financial transaction app that comes with a digital wallet that helps to transfer and receive money while chatting has gotten one of the worst reviews on the Google play store.

It will be recalled that Garba rejoiced over the Twitter ban in Nigeria as he strategically positioned his Crowwe app as an alternative for Nigerians at large.
 

"Join Crowwe now! Build your country, build your people and build your brand. Join Crowwe now"; Garba tweeted.

However, Nigerians who downloaded the app have heaped lots of negative reviews on the app via the Google play store. Thus, leading to the removal of the app.

A reviewer alleged that the app was being used to recruit members of terrorist organizations.

"This app has been found to be used for recruitment purposes by terrorist orgs like Boko Haram and ISWAP. It steals your personal data which the developers turn in for phising. It is also harmful to your device. In fact, I had to do factory reset to be able to make my device efficient again after installing this app. I would recommend that YOU DO NOT INSTALL THIS APP.
