‘Tinubu’s Probe Ongoing’ -- Abdulrasheed Bawa, EFCC Chairman

Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, says a former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is under investigation.

In an exclusive interview published by ThisDay on Sunday, Bawa said investigation does not end in a day.

He said: "You asked me a question earlier about arresting people before investigation and now you are saying why didn't we arrest Tinubu? Why didn't you just say 'arrest him?'

"Investigation is ongoing. When you are investigating matters like this, they don't end in a day. Thousands of investigations are going on, on a daily basis.

"You understand? You know you are from the media. After you will say we are doing media trial."

Bawa was said to have requested for Tinubu's assets declaration form when he was the head of Lagos Zonal Office.

In a related development, a former Managing Director of Alpha Beta LLP, Mr. Dapo Apara, has filed a suit demanding a Lagos State High Court to stop Tinubu from "controlling the finances of Alpha Beta."

The suit was filed on Wednesday by Mr Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa (SAN) on behalf of Apara.

Open the windows and/or door for proper ventilation  
Once you smell gas anywhere in your home, do well to open the windows or doors to allow in fresh air and to take out the smell of gas.

Do not light a match or candle. Avoid naked flames
Even if it's a faint smell of gas, ensure there is no naked flame around you, especially where you smell the gas the most. Also, do not turn any light switches or anything that can cause a spark on or off.

Turn off the gas

Ifedayo Olarinde, known to Nigerians as Daddy Freeze, caught up with Regina Daniels and Ned Nwoko vacationing in Dubai. It was the first interview they agreed to since after their marriage. During the interview the 20-year-old actress revealed why she married an older man in Ned. She attributed that decision to her not being an easy-going person.

"I don't think I could have married someone of my age because I am quite stubborn, very stubborn, my head is not down but with my husband that is not the case because I respect him a lot," she said.

Later in the interview, Ned was asked about his love for the young actress. He straightened the story of how they met. He said, "Some people thought I met her (Regina) through her mother. We met, fell in love and got married within three weeks." And as more questions rolled by, Regina was asked if she was worried about public opinion. To which she answered, "The only thing I was worried about when he proposed was how I was going to tell my family and not what the public will say or think. I have learned a lot from him. According to her, she calls him 'baby'. "I used to cook but my husband has stopped me from entering the kitchen because we have cooks and domestic staff."

Finally, the couple spoke of their mutual interest in swimming. And Ned used the opportunity to announce that he is building a sports university, for those who did not already know.

"I taught her how to swim and I learnt under 20 minutes. I have taught over 700 people how to swim in the last four years. It is my passion that's why I'm building a sports university as you might know," Ned said.

Grate carrots with the use of a hand grater or food processor.

Step 2: Place the grated carrots in a crock pot and pour the oil of your choice to cover.

Step 3: On your crock pot's lowest setting, maintain a warm temperature, infusing the oil for a full 24-72 hours.

Note: Use the "warm" temperature setting on your crock pot. Try not to allow the temperature of the oil to rise above 100-105 degrees Fahrenheit. You will notice the oil becoming orange in colour.

Step 4: Once the infusion process is complete, pour the carrots and oil mixture through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth and strain.

In as little as two weeks to as long as three months, signs can occur in your body, which are reactions to an HIV infection.

If you have recently engaged in unprotected sex or shared an injectable needle with someone whose HIV status you cannot confirm, you should consider being tested for the HIV virus. An early HIV test is a good idea for your health, safety and benefit of others.

Many, but not all people who are infected, experience flu-like symptoms, sometimes described as the "worse flu ever." There are between nine and sixteen different symptoms experienced by people living with HIV and AIDS.

Common early symptoms of HIV

Here are some of the most common, indicating early-stage HIV infection:
Fever: One of the first signs of an HIV infection can be a mild fever, up to about 102F/39C. At this point the virus is moving into the blood stream and starting to replicate in large numbers. You are highly contagious in the early stages of an HIV infection because the undetected, unchecked virus is making millions of copies of itself as it destroys cells your immune system uses to fight disease.

Swollen Lymph Nodes: Lymph nodes often become inflamed, or swollen, when the body is trying to fight an HIV infection. Major lymph nodes are located in the armpit, groin, and neck areas. Often, lymph nodes in the neck are involved, become tender and may be called "swollen glands."

Lymph nodes are a part of your lymphatic system. This system plays an important role in your immune system. Lymph, a clear fluid that circulates throughout your body, is partly made of white blood cells that attack bacteria and viruses.

Lymph nodes are located in certain parts of the body, including your neck, groin, and armpits. They're shaped like beans and measure no more than 2.5 centimetres long. Your lymph nodes are responsible for filtering lymph and producing mature immune cells.

Lymph nodes protect both your blood and immune system by:
Swollen lymph nodes may also be the first signs of an infection, including HIV.

Sore Throat: People living with HIV may have a chronic or recurring sore throat, and it's not uncommon for people living with HIV and AIDS to develop thrush, an opportunistic, secondary infection. Candida is the fungus that causes thrush; flourishes when the immune system is compromised; is found in the mouth and throat; and contributes to difficult swallowing.

Rash: If a rash can't be easily explained or treated and you have participated in high-risk behaviour, you should consider an HIV test. Rashes can occur anywhere on the skin but are often found on the trunk of the body. These rashes may or may not itch.

Fatigue: The inflammatory response generated by the besieged immune system can also cause tiredness, general listlessness and a lack of energy to do tasks you may consider normal or routine. Fatigue can be debilitating and occurs as both an early and later sign of HIV infection and AIDS.

Muscle and Joint Aches and Pains: Other common symptoms of infection include muscle ache and joint or body pain, rheumatic disease. These can be caused by the HIV infection alone or by other viruses or bacteria, and inflammation often accompanies.

Headache: This symptom can present itself as unrelenting headaches. They are often caused by low CD4 T-cell counts but may also be the result of infections, nervous system maladies or malignancies, HIV-related systemic disease and toxicity caused by medication. A new or severe headache should always be carefully checked out.

Diarrhea, vomiting and nausea: Many people with an early HIV infection develop nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and lack of appetite. This can be caused by fungal, bacterial, viral and parasitic infections, which overwhelm an already-compromised immune system. In some cases, these symptoms can also be a side effect to HIV medication.

Night sweats: Night sweats means sweating which soaks the bedding while sleeping and is not related to exercise. Night sweats can be a side-effect of a fever due to another infection in the body, such as the bacterial infection Mycobacterium avium complex (MAC), the fungal infection histoplasmosis or tuberculosis (TB).

No symptoms? Remember, a large amount of people are unaware of their infection and have experienced no signs of their illness.

The symptoms that accompany an HIV infection can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks. However, you cannot assume you have HIV from symptoms alone.

Each of these ailments can be caused by other illnesses too. The only certain way to know your HIV status is by getting an HIV test.

If you think you may have been exposed to HIV, regardless of whether you have experienced any symptoms, it is important to get tested as soon as possible.

De La Rosa took to her Instagram page on Wednesday, June 16, 2021, where she announced the arrival of their babies.

Forbes 2021 30 Under 30 recipient , Ziwe Fumudoh is getting her first comedy series 'Nigerian Princess' courtesy Amazon.

According to an exclusive report by Variety, the American comedian will write and create the comedy series centered on a female protagonist.

"The project follows Zoe, a wise-beyond-her-years 20-something who, debilitated by student debt, partners with a known grifter in a desperate bid to achieve the American Dream. The two prep school grads make an unlikely alliance all while secretly plotting to scam each other," Variety reports.

The show will be produced by the Janelle Monae, Chuck Lightning, Mikael Moore, and Nate Wonder founded production company. Wondaland Pictures.

News of Ziwe's new show comes amid reports that her anticipated book of essays titled 'The Book of Ziwe' will premiere in a few months.
