Eucharia Anunobi Recounts How Her Rich Dad Refused To Send Her To School For Being A Girl Child

Eucharia Anunobi, a Nollywood veteran and evangelist, has taken a trip down memory lane as she recounted how her rich father refused to send her to school just because she was a girl child.

According to the actress who holds a PhD, her father at the time said there wasn't any need to spend so much money on a girl child and insisted that only his male children will get educated.
 
Eucharia disclosed that she struggled by herself and became a model, an ex-beauty queen, a popular actress, a preacher, and now a PhD holder in Christian Education and Ministerial Arts.

The ace thespian says today she has become that child who has engraved her father's name all over the world.

Singer Billie Eilish Apologizes For Using Asian Slur In Old Video

Billie Eilish is apologizing after past videos of her seemingly mocking Asian and Black accent drew criticism  online.

The American music star, in the video shared on TikTok, was seen using or mouthing a racial slur and making fun of non-English speakers. One video shows Eilish singing along to Tyler the Creator's song, "Fish," which uses the anti-Asian slur "ch***." TikTokers claim the other video shows Eilish making fun of accents.

The 19-year-old however issued a statement via her Instagram Stories on Monday June 21, saying that she was "appalled and embarrassed" for mouthing along to an anti-Asian slur from Tyler the Creator's 2011 song "Fish."

Eilish also revealed that she was 13 or 14 at that time. She wrote;


"I love you guys, and many of you have been asking me to address this. And this is something that I WANT to address because I'm being labeled something that I am not.
 
"This song was the only time i'd ever heard that word as it was never used around me by anyone in my family.

"Regardless of my ignorance and age at the time, nothing excuses the fact that it was hurtful. and for that I am sorry."

Commenting on the second clip, the singer said it in no way mocked Asian accents. According to her, it was simply a language she made up — using it with pets, friends and family.

She wrote "the other video in that edited clip is me speaking in a silly gibberish made up voice…something i started doing as a kid and have done my whole life when talking to my pets, friends, and family." She does regret that people hearing her "gibberish" are caused pain.


Last week, Eilish's boyfriend Matthew Tyler Vorst, also apologized for racist and homophobic language in past social media posts.

The Omo Ghetto star took to her verified Instagram page to show some private messages the unknown person has been sending to her.

In the messages, the person threatened to kill her, however, soon after she shared the screenshots with the person's Instagram handle on her page, the internet troll deactivated the account.

Popular Nollywood actress, Regina Daniels has been hospitalized again for the third time months after undergoing a surgery.

The billionaire's wife took to her snapchat story to post a picture of her bandaged wrist and lot of syringes with the caption, "man down again."

The actress didn't mention the cause of her ailment and why she's being treated.


Recall that in April 2020, Regina Daniels underwent a surgery for an undisclosed ailment. In May 2021, she was also admitted in an hospital for the second time.

After visiting a Nigerian embassy in Washington, DC, Nollywood star Alesh Ola Sanni voiced his rage and bitterness about being branded a Nigerian.

The actor claimed in a post on his Instagram page that everything related with Nigeria's name is always uncomfortable.

The actor explained his statement by stating that he visited a Nigerian embassy in Washington, DC, where there was no fan but a fan for over thirty people.

Reality TV star, Alex Asogwa, popularly known as Alex Unusual has advised men to wash their boxers immediately after it's being worn.

Alex took to her Instagram page to talk to men who have formed the dirty habit of not cleaning up themselves and having their bath regularly.

According to her, wear it once and wash it.

Filmmaker Chima Okoroji – "I don’t know why people especially kids think I am Davido”

Chima Okoroji, who is a Nollywood filmmaker, in a recent interview, revealed how a lot of people, especially kids, mistake him for famous Nigerian singer and DMW label boss, David Adeleke Davido.

Chima in a statement via the Nations, recounted some of the unfavourable incidents he had had to face as he appealed to people to stop doing so.

The movie maker, however, wished he was as rich as Davido as that would have enabled him enjoyed the fame with the DMW label boss.


He said in his statement: "My brother, I don't know whether it is this beard or something else. I am fair complexioned and I look older, I don't know why people especially kids think I am Davido.

According to BBC pidgin who shared the story in one of their documentaries on Facebook, Kemi disclosed that she never expected having her break in the entertainment industry via a comedy skit.

According to her, anytime people address her as Mummy Wa she feels like an old woman, who's probably in her mid-50's even though she knows she's a beautiful young lady.
