Stop prophesying negativity into Nigeria — Singer, Simi’s mom warn Nigerians

Mrs Jedidah Akinsola, the mother of talented singer and songwriter, Simi, has urged citizens of Nigeria to stop prophesying negativity into the country.

Nigeria as a nation has been going through a lot of difficulties for the past few months.

Despite all of these, Simi's mother in a post on her official Twitter account urged Nigerians to stop prophesying negativity into the country.

According to her, Nigeria is blessed and will rise again, she urged people to prophesy what they want to see and not what they are seeing.

She wrote:

Nigeria yi ti gbogbo wa ni. Koma gbodo baje. Ko ma sibo miran ti ale lo. Ajo oda bi ile. Eje kasowo po kafimo sokan. Gbe kemi gbe. Nigeria 🇳🇬 is blessed and shall rise again. Stop prophesying negative into Nigeria. Say what you want to see and not what you are seeing. 🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬🇳🇬

Reactions as Wizkid changes signature name to “Big Wiz” on Instagram

Nigerian popular singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known by his stage name as Wizkid has changed his Instagram name to Big Wiz.

It seems like the Grammy award winner has finally heeded to words of advice as he was told by his fans to change his name from "Wizkid" since he's no longer the young Wiz we all know.

Heeding to this advice as suggested by fans, Wizkid has changed his name in a recent update on Instagram in his bio section to "Big Wiz".

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing has reacted as Netizens accused her of not being a celebrity after a viral video of her comparing Nigerian fans to their counterparts in western countries.

She took to her Insta stories to insist that she's a celebrity as she claims that her Insta stories make headlines in blogs.

Nkechi has further issued a warning as she's very keen to activate her block button on trolls who don't acknowledge her as a celebrity.

Nigerian Professional Footballer Kevin Odenigbo Drowns In Belarus

Nigerian professional footballer Kevin Odenigbo, who plays for FC Vitebsk in Belarus, was found dead in lake Beloye following a drowning incident on Saturday night.

According to a statement released by FC Vitebsk on Sunday, the 20-year-old deceased's body was found in the lake.
