Actress Uche Jombo vents– “Facebook Is A Crazy Place”

Nollywood actress and filmmaker, Uche Jumbo has disclosed how crazy it is to be on Facebook, a social media platform.

Uche Jumbo took to her Twitter account to pour out her distress and her thoughts on the social media platform.

Although she isn't the first person to express how crazy it is to navigate through Facebook, celebrities such as Ms. Lydia Forson and Big Brother Naija reality star, Mercy Eke has also aired such concerns.

Ms. Lydia Forson had revealed in the past that she preferred Twitter to Facebook because it is easier to share ideas on related topics.

Jumbo seemed to have felt the same way as she took to her Twitter account to vent.

[Video]: Fans react as Wizkid staggers after shaking Blaqbonez in Ghana–“He don high”

Fans have reacted to a recent video of the Grammy Winner, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, staggering uncontrollably after shaking rapper, Emeka Blaqbonez.

The video which stirred up reactions on social media captured the moment Wizkid came out of a room and immediately greeted Blaqbonez with a handshake, which subsequently led to both of them jamming their chest.

Wizkid in the video seemed to have lost balance and staggered to get hold of himself before proceeding into the room again.

In reaction to this, fans have suggested that the singer probably was under the influence of a substance that made him behave that way.

Nollywood controversial actor Uche Maduagwu has disclosed his interest to marry veteran actress Eucharia Anunobi.

According to Uche Maduagwu in a post via his Instagram account, he stressed that he is destined to pay her bride price as he said she is a great wife material.

He wrote, "Life without you is like a broken pencil, so pointless. You will be fulfilling destiny if u marry me because you are the ewedu surrounding my amala. Your #beauty is so priceless forget about the age difference, maturity lo sure ju #husband #marriage."

This is coming after Eucharia Anunobi, in a recent interview with Legit.ng, had revealed she would love to give marriage a chance again.

The veteran actress' marriage to Charles Ekwu ended after six years in 2006. The union produced only one child Raymond Ekwu who sadly died from complications associated with sickle cell anaemia at age 15.

[Video]: Comedian, Mr. Jollof quits smoking–“I don hang boot”

Popular Nigerian comedian and MC, Mr. Jollof has taken a decision to quit smoking.

Me Jollof took the new decision on Wednesday 14th of July, 2021 after he took to his Instagram account to announce that he's quitting smoking.

Sharing a video via his Instagram page, the comedian wrote:"I have burnt everything, no more smoking again, If you see me smoking, I give you permission to take it away"

Mr Jollof in his statement however stressed that he is not condemning people who smoke but he revealed he has "hang boot" in that department.

"On the 14 day of July I stopped smoking for life m I am not condemning smokers o you can continue but for me I don hang boot" he added.

Actress Victoria Kolawole tackles troll– “Stupidity has spoiled your life”

Nollywood actress, Victoria Kolawole has lashed out heavily at an online troll who body-shamed her by leaving a negative comment about her looks.

The actress' unwelcomed response came after a netizen asserted that she is beautiful, but her big eyes remains an impediment to her beauty.

Reacting to this assertion, the actress rained hurtful words on the social media user. She unapologetically described him as a stupid person and went further to say that his stupidity has destroyed his life.

Talented singer and songwriter Kizz Daniel has gifted his two sons, Jelani and Jalil, a new house.

Nollywoodtinmes can confirm that the new house is a two-bedroom luxury penthouse located in Lekki.

Kizz Daniel went on to reveal he actually welcomed triplet but he lost one of them four days after.

He wrote, "GOD blessed me with 3 boys a while back 🙏🏽 JAMAL, JALIL and JELANI (triplets). 4 days after i lost JAMAL. Nevertheless, I made a promise to him that I'll be the best father in the whole galaxy to his brothers….. Congrats to the latest Home owners in town , Jelani and Jalil ❤️ My first gift to my sons"

Many celebrities of African descent were nominated in the drama categories to the comedy categories, including Uzo Aduba from "In Treatment", Cynthia Erivo for her role "Genius: Aretha", O T Fagbenle for his role in "The Handmaid's Tale", Regé-Jean Page for his role in "Bridgerton", Michaela Coel, Paapa Essiedu their roles in "I May Destroy You", Sophie Okonedo for her role in "Ratched", and the list goes on and on.

Ron Cephas Jones and his daughter Jasmine Cephas Jones hosted the Emmy nominations on Tuesday.

Netflix's "The Crown" and Disney Plus' "The Mandalorian" scored the most nominations with 24 each, next by Marvel and Disney Plus' "WandaVision" with 23 and Hulu's "The Handmaid's Tale" with 21.

Daniel Kaluuya scored a nod in the "guest actor in a comedy series" category for his feature in "Saturday Night Live", and Issa Rae in the "guest actress in a comedy series" category for her feature in "A Black Lady Sketch Show".

Oprah Winfrey's CBS special "Oprah With Meghan And Harry: A CBS Primetime Special" earned a nomination for 'outstanding hosted nonfiction series or special.'

Cedric the Entertainer will host the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards, which will take place on September 19, 2021.

Former BBNaija housemate, Uriel Oputa has replied to Yvonne Nelson's article, warning people not to be duped into trying to achieve a "snatched figure" with the use of waist trainers.

Uriel, who is also a brand influencer for waist trainers, has expressed her displeasure with this.

Waist trainers, according to Uriel, work and have been used by African women in the past to shape their bodies after birth.

Anita revealed that her husband was traveling and she prayed for journey mercies over his trip.

Nigerian Basketball Federation Dedicates Victories Against U.S, Argentina To Late Sound Sultan

D'Tigers victory over Team USA and Argentina were dedicated to late Nigerian artist Sound Sultan by the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF).

The late artiste died early Sunday morning after a four-year battle with angioimmunoblastic t-cell lymphoma, just as the Nigerian basketball team was celebrating a historic 90-87 win over Team USA in an Olympic friendly.
 
He was also a well-known basketball lover who contributed to the growth of the sport in Lagos' Festac neighborhood.


The Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) turned to its verified Twitter profile following the Nigerian basketball team's triumph over Argentina, the world's fourth-best team, on Tuesday to tribute the two big victories to the late musician.

The tweet read, "We dedicate the victories against the US & Argentina to the late Olanrewaju Fasasi (Sound Sultan).

"You saw this day coming when Nigeria would become a dominant force in global basketball.

"Ironically, the day we won against Team USA was when you gave up the ghost. RIP."

According to Islamic rites, the musician, who left behind a wife and two children, was buried in a cemetery in New Jersey, United States.

Social Media User Writes–‘Davido Needs To Quit Music & Start Selling Plantain’

A social media user has posited that Nigerian musician, David Adeleke who is known as Davido is not doing anything in music so he should quit and start selling plantain.

The social media user made this known in a recent post he made as he commented on Tems debuting on Billboard after her feature with Wizkid became the 82nd track on Billboard's HOT 100.

The post made by Billboard reads;

It earns Tems her first career entry on the chart."

Nigeria's D'Tigers basketball team has won again, this time against Argentina, the world's fourth-best team, just a few days after defeating the United States of America, the world's number one country in basketball.

Nigeria defeated Argentina 95-71 on Monday, July 13 at the Michelob Ultra Arena in Las Vegas, as part of their Olympic preparations. Nigeria was led by Jahlil Okafor (15 points), Josh Okogie (10 points), and Chimezie Metu (10 points).

Coach Mike Brown was able to designate Jahlil Okafor to the squad, but he began Josh Okogie, Ike Nwamu, Nnamdi (Gabe) Vincent, Chikezie Okpala, and Precious Achiuwa in the front five.

The two countries last played in China for the 2019 FIBA Basketball World Cup, which Argentina won 94-81.

The D'Tigers will meet the Australians in their first encounter in Tokyo, which will take place on Tuesday.
