Nollywood actress and humanitarian Tonto Dikeh has again applauded her man, Prince Kporkporgri.

Recall that Tonto Dikeh had over the weekend said her secret prayer has been to have a man who could stand in as a father to her son.

However, in a recent post via her IG account, the mother of one hailed her husband for changing the narrative that was already becoming her norm.

She shared some photos from her son, King Andre's graduation and wrote, "DOING THIS FOR YEARS WITHOUT A MAN IN MY LIFE WAS BECOMING MY NORM AND THAT OF MY SONS'

Talented Nigerian singer and songwriter Mr Eazi on Monday 19th of July celebrated his 30th birthday.

Me Eazi, who shared a photo via his IG account revealed he doesn't like photoshoots after sharing a photo which appears to be one for his birthday.


He shared the photo and simply captioned it, " I don't like Photo Shoots."

The first runner-up, Francis Otela in an interview with Tofarati Ige has opened up on how he felt after his fellow contestant, Kingdom was declared winner of the Nigerian Idol, season 6.

Airing his opinion, Francis said "I have always had an open mind. I went into the show with the primary objective of winning because we all have to pay bills. When I got into the show, I made friends and those friends became like family. After spending three months with all the contestants, it changed me in a way because we all have similar stories and this made me disabuse my mind from the 'it's either I win or nothing' mentality. Sure, I wanted to win but eventually, when I got closer to everybody, I thought to myself that everybody deserved to win. When we got to the 'top four,' it clicked to me that whoever won deserved it. On the day of the grand finale, just before I went on stage, I was tensed and I prayed to God that I wanted this (to win) badly but He should give me the grace to accept His will for me. When I went on stage and Kingdom was called (as the winner), I was excited and I felt a weight get off my shoulders. I felt instant happiness and gratitude at how far I came. My heart was filled with pure happiness.


Shortly after the grand finale, the Chief Press Secretary to the Benue State Governor made a post on Facebook, praising your reaction after Kingdom was declared winner. He also stated that the state was ready to work with you. Has anyone reached out to you from the Benue State government?

Yes, they reached out to me and it was amazing. It was a humbling experience. It made me feel like I was doing the right thing and I'm on the right track, with the right people. All I ever wanted was the grace to be able to push my music to the best lengths possible. Now, I'm gaining recognition from the state government and it's a big deal, which I don't take for granted.


There are a lot of artists I would love to work with, including Fireboy DML and Ayra Starr. From Nigerian Idol, I would like to work with Akunna, Beyonce, and Emmanuel. They are amazing singers and I believe we can do wonders together on a song.

Kingdom is cool. However, the people I mentioned are those I believe have similar vocals. Kingdom is amazing and I believe he would do better on a song with a female singer, than with me.

A video making rounds on social media shows the moment some children were seen scooping hot peppersoup from a pot on fire at Obi Cubana's mom's burial.

According to reports, a chef was instructed to serve the children accordingly but unfortunately they overcrowded the area and were unable to be controlled.

The children began to use their bare hands to scoop the peppersoup and meat from the pot while some were spotted using plates.

Recall that Obi Cubana's mother's burial had been the 'talk of the town' for the past few days. Some guests were also seen scrambling for money being sprayed at the party.

Comedian, actor and activist, Debo Adebayo, popularly known as Mr. Macaroni has disclosed that he is quick to turn down sugar daddy roles as he looks forward to more intriguing characters.

In an exclusive interview with Scoop, he disclosed that "On the day I was arrested at Lekki tollgate, I was supposed to have a shoot for a big brand. But, when they saw that I was arrested, they called my manager immediately and canceled our deal. They said that they did not want to be associated with me at that time, so it wouldn't seem like they were part of those fighting government. However, that is their fault, not mine. If they had done their research on me, they would have known that my love for humanity comes before any other thing. That is my priority. As a matter of fact, I believe that God has given me my platform to be able to use it to speak for myself and others. That is what I stand."


The actor and skit maker also reveals that he turned down roles that portrayed him as a "freaky freaky" sugar daddy. He said,

"The beauty of being a thespian is that I am able to bring any character to life. Even now, when I am called to feature in a project, I am quick to turn down roles that toe the line of 'freaky-freaky daddy.' I am working on a project now, 'Professor Hard Life' because I want people to see me in another character."

In relation to his career and prowess, he said; "I am a graduate of Theatre Arts and I was trained by the very best— Professor Ahmed Yerima, who is the former Director-General of National Theatre. The content we create is part of acting. It is also important to note that I had been acting professionally before I started churning out social media content. I am working on a lot of projects, so my fans should watch out,"

The aphrodisiac specialist broke the good news on her official Facebook page where she mocked a certain man who stated that she will never have a child.

While quite a number of Nigerian celebrities and popular faces are currently at Oba in Anambra state for Cubana's mother burial ceremony, Tonto Dikeh, who shared a photo of her with a travelling box, revealed that she's not travelling to Oba but her husband's house.

Iconic Rapper Biz Markie Died At 57

Veteran American rapper, Marcel Theo Hall popularly known as Biz Markie, has died at the age of 57.

Known widely for a career spanning back to 1986, Hall went on to become a beloved cultural figure later in life, celebrated for his spirited personality as much as his massive 1989 hit, "Just A Friend." His death was confirmed by his manager, Jenni D. Izumi.
 
Markie's representative, Jenni Izumi, said the New York rapper, beatboxer, and producer died peacefully Friday evening, July 16, with his wife by his side.


"We are grateful for the many calls and prayers of support that we have received during this difficult time," Izumi said in a statement. "Biz created a legacy of artistry that will forever be celebrated by his industry peers and his beloved fans whose lives he was able to touch through music, spanning over 35 years. He leaves behind a wife, many family members and close friends who will miss his vibrant personality, constant jokes and frequent banter."

While a cause of death was not revealed, the rapper had struggled in recent years with health issues related to his decade-long battle with Type 2 diabetes.

In April 2020, he was hospitalized due to complications related to the disease, and later that year suffered a stroke after going into a diabetic coma. There were reports he was rehabilitating, but his condition continued to decline, leading to premature reports of Markie's death in late June.
