In an interview with Saturday Beats, Ike said, "We all mind one another's business in this country because people are always looking for the negative things. As he (Iyiegbu) is spending, it shouldn't be anybody's problem. He is simply having fun. Ike also disagreed with those who said that Nollywood painted most rich Igbo people as occultists. He said, "There are different ways people can show their affluence. Some might choose to 'spray' money and it could be a one-off thing. I don't think I have heard Kanayo Kanayo spraying money anywhere before now.

"We are not going to carpet all that because of someone spraying money at a function. Maybe Cubana had been nice to them and they decided to spray that amount of money. However, it is left for the government to decide whether to ban spraying of money or not."

The actor also maintained that Nollywood actors were not all about showing off. He said, "People can have whatever opinion they want about Nollywood. The industry is diverse and there are many people working in it. The fact that some actors sprayed money there does not mean we should carpet the whole Nollywood. Later this month, we (some actors) are going to commission a computer centre with over 20 computers, desks and accessories at Ejigbo Community High School, Lagos. It is also fitted with a projector screen. We would give awards to the best students in certain subjects, and outstanding teachers."

"The International Olympic Committee has the honour to announce that the Games of the 35th Olympiad are awarded to Brisbane, Australia," Bach said.


Brisbane will become the third Australian city to host the Summer Games after Melbourne (hosted in 1956) and Sydney (in 200o).

"We know what it takes to deliver a successful Games in Australia," Prime Minister Scott Morrison told International Olympic Committee voters in an 11-minute live video link from his office.

He added: "It's a historic day not just for Brisbane and Queensland, but for the entire country.

"Only global cities can secure the Olympic Games, so this is fitting recognition for Brisbane's standing across our region and the world."

Brisbane follows 2028 host Los Angeles in getting 11 years to prepare for hosting the Games. Paris will host in 2024.

The 2032 deal for Brisbane looked done even months before the formal decision by IOC members at their meeting ahead of the Tokyo Games, which open Friday.

The IOC gave Brisbane exclusive negotiating rights back in February. That decision left Olympic officials in Qatar, Hungary and Germany looking blindsided with their own stalled bidding plans.

Brisbane was the first winner in a new bidding format. It lets the IOC approach potential candidates and pick them uncontested.


Hundreds of people packed Brisbane's Southbank riverside precinct for an announcement viewing party, watching the city's final pitch to the IOC projected on a big screen.

Despite being given a 30% chance of survival after suffering third-degree burns on 65% of her body, and having undergone over a hundred reconstructive surgeries, her healing journey involves an outpouring of self-love and perseverance while completing her own inner work.

She thanked God for keeping her alive to watch her progress, as she shared photos from 2007, a year after the sad accident, and one from Tuesday, July 20, 2021.

I stumbled upon the picture on the left on my laptop a couple months ago, and i have been contemplating this post since then.

I remember I stared at it for a long time that day. Time makes me forget just how extensive my burn injuries were, and how devastating the effects were to my body. I realize this may shock some of you too.
The pic on the left was taken a good year after the plane crash and by then, intense scar tissue had formed, esp on my face.

I took the pic on the right a few mins ago and made these before/afters, and I marvel at how far God has brought me. I am the result of the hard work of multiple surgeons He brought into my life, nurses, physiotherapists, and love and care from my family, my mom especially.

This is what progress looks like, guys. 2 pictures, 14 years apart. I'm grateful that I lived long enough to see it.
I decided to make this post so that you guys can marvel at God with me.

I want someone who reads this to see that true progress, genuine growth, and lasting change cannot happen overnight. Most of the time during the journey, maybe like me, you won't notice changes because day by day they're too minuscule to make a difference.
