Make merriment and then go about your business. If my friends want to celebrate me, they should do so while I am alive, so that I can enjoy it with them, not when I am gone and have no idea about this. That is me Onyeka Onwenu.

"My mother, on the other hand, wanted a different burial and I promised to give her want she wanted. On her hospital bed, just three days before she passed away, I reinforced that promise – it was important to her and she died knowing that I would keep my word. Hope Onwenu's burial was nothing like what took place in Oba recently but it was elaborate and pretty expensive. Still I had the satisfaction that I kept my promise.

"The point I make here is that there are different strokes for different folks, even within a family. Margaret Idahosa (born 29 July 1943) is a Nigerian preacher, author and the Archbishop of the Church of God Mission International. She is the first African female Archbishop. She is the wife of the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa.She is the Chancellor of Benson Idahosa University.She was conferred with the Officer of the Order of Niger (OON) by the federal government of Nigeria in 2008.

Idahosa was born on 29 July 1943 to a royal family in Benin Kingdom of Edo State, Nigeria. She obtained a Diploma in Home Economics from Leeds Polytechnic in the United Kingdom. She obtained a master's degree in Divinity from Friends International Christian University. She also has Masters of Education degree which she acquired from Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma, USA. She was inducted into the ministry on 24 May 1983, and became a bishop on 5 April 1998. She was married to the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa, the founder of the Church of God Mission International. She is the author of The Womb of harvest, Tearing the veil, The Female minister, and Expansion without Limit. Idahosa is the first Nigerian woman to be ordained as archbishop and the first female chancellor of a university in Africa (Benson Idahosa University). She became an archbishop in November 2009

Hushpuppi Narrates How He Bribed Nigerian Top Cop Abba Kyari In $1.1 Million Deal

After recently pleading guilty in the United States, Ramon 'Hushpuppi' Abbas, the infamous Nigerian fraudster has narrated how he bribed Nigeria's celebrated police chief Abba Kyari, court documents seen by Peoples Gazette said.

For weeks, federal authorities in the U.S. have been investigating Mr Abbas and his co-conspirators after their syndicate was busted in Dubai, New York and other top cities last June. Officials said in court filings that Mr Abbas disclosed during interrogation that he paid bribes to Mr Kyari, a deputy police commissioner, to have one of his rivals arrested and jailed in Nigeria following a dispute over a $1.1 million dupe of a Qatari businessperson.


Mr Kyari did not immediately return calls and messages seeking his response to Mr Abbas' claims when reached by The Gazette on Thursday morning.

Mr Abbas asked Mr Kyari to arrest and jail a fellow fraudster Kelly Chibuzor Vincent after both were locked in a dispute presumably over how to share the $1.1 million loot received from the Qatari businessperson. Mr Vincent subsequently contacted the victim and informed him that he was being scammed by a syndicate involving him and Mr Abbas.

This elicited anger from Mr Abbas, who contacted Mr Kyari to arrest and jail his rival over the dispute. Mr Abbas said Mr Kyari sent pictures of Mr Vincent in jail and subsequently sent his bank account number to Mr Abbas to which a wire transfer should be made having done a good job as sent by Mr Abbas.

"Court documents outline a dispute among members of the conspiracy, which allegedly prompted Vincent to contact the victim and claim that Abbas and Juma were engaged in fraud. After this contact, Abbas allegedly arranged to have Vincent jailed in Nigeria by Abba Alhaji Kyari, 46, of Nigeria.

"According to the affidavit, Kyari is a highly decorated deputy commissioner of the Nigeria Police Force who is alleged to have arranged for Vincent to be arrested and jailed at Abbas' behest, and then sent Abbas photographs of Vincent after his arrest. Kyari also allegedly sent Abbas bank account details for an account into which Abbas could deposit payment for Vincent's arrest and imprisonment," U.S. Justice department said in a statement.

After the $1.1 million fraud was successful, Mr Abbas spent $230,000 on a watch and also bribed officials at St. Kitts and Nevis for his citizenship of that island country.

"Approximately $230,000 of the stolen funds allegedly were used to purchase a Richard Mille RM11-03 watch, which was hand delivered to Abbas in Dubai and subsequently appeared in Hushpuppi's social media posts.

"Other illicit proceeds from the scheme were allegedly converted into cashier's checks, including $50,000 in checks that were used by Abbas and a co-conspirator to fraudulently acquire a St. Christopher and Nevis citizenship, as well as a passport for Abbas obtained by creating a false marriage certificate and then bribing a government official in St. Kitts," officials said.

Mr Abbas pleaded guilty to multimillion-dollar fraud earlier this month and faces up to 20 years in jail. He will be sentenced in the coming weeks and will forfeit some of his assets and his rights to appeal while also paying restitution to victims of his years-long fraud.

Mr Kyari has long grabbed media accolades as a no-nonsense cop who brought sanity to violent but lucrative crimes in Nigeria, including kidnapping and armed banditry.

He received an accelerated promotion for his exploits. But critics have repeatedly warned that his tactics had become increasingly brutal, opaque and corrupt.

In 2018, rights group Amnesty International accused Mr Kyari of illegally depleting assets of a suspected criminal after his team shot the man dead on the highway. Collins Ezenwa's wife at the time said Mr Kyari and his team withdrew money from her late husband's bank account and pocketed millions in accommodation proceeds from his hotels.

Mr Kyari denied corruption amongst his team but did not categorically address the allegations of the Ezenwas.

At about the same time as when Mr Abbas was arrested last June in Dubai, Mr Kyari was honoured by the Nigerian House of Representatives, with lawmakers praising him for his diligent and incorruptible service to the nation.

In a post he shared via his Instagram page, Animashaun pointed out that he hopes it doesn't take the death of another person for the twin brothers, Paul and Peter Okoye, to bury the hatchet.

He shared a photo of the Plantaahun Boiz and wrote:

Uche Mocks Davido – ‘You’re Screaming “Daddy” While Burna Is Screaming “Grammy”

Controversial gay activist Uche Maduagwu has mocked Davido a few hours after the singer in a viral video was seen calling on his father from his luxurious ride.

In the video, the popular singer was seen in his new Rolls Royce Cullinan while his father was inside a Bentley. His dad was in front of him, so he called on his dad to go ahead while he came behind.


Reacting to this viral video, Uche has mocked Davido telling him that he's busy screaming "My daddy" while his mate Burnaboy is screaming "My Grammy".

Here's what he wrote;

"Naija music industry get levels, driving your father's Rolls Royce and screaming my daddy is one, winning globally with your music and screaming GRAMMY is another higher level. Davido told Bolanle he was the biggest Naija artiste even while Beyonce didn't feature him but worked with others. Now it's very clear that Grammy will not reach his hand without marrying Chioma. Baba is now screaming 'my daddy'. Imagine what Chioma will be going through now emotionally? Only a daddy's boy will come to social media and propose marriage but will not come back to announce breakup"

Actress, Nkechi Blessing tells BBNaija viewers – “Enough of supporting fair girls only, support dark girls also”

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday has called on BBNaija viewers to support the dark ladies and end the mad-rush over fair and light-skinned girls in the house.

Taking to her Instagram page with 2 million followers, the thespian lamented over the lack of support to dark-skinned ladies in the house as it seems like the fair girls are already stealing the show.

In an Instastory session, she wrote;

"To those supporting the BBN show, make una try pick one out of the fine fine Black girls support.. Enuf of this yellow yellow every time.. Ya all ain't encouraging black skin people.. Hian!!"

Reactions have arisen on social media after the popular singer and Grammy winner, Burna Boy flaunted some stash of hard currency online.

In the video, Burna Boy could be seen rolling the 100 dollar notes up to his arms while he enjoyed the melodies that emanated from a jam he was playing.


Owing to this display of wealth, social media users came for Burna Boy as they asked him where he was when his mates made money rain at Oba, Anambra state during Obi Cubana's mother's burial.
