This Junior Research Associate position will: assure high quality implementation and capturing of outcomes and impacts of program initiatives; provide continuous high-quality support to enhance the mission of the company by developing, capturing, and communicating useful and usable research and evaluation information for clients. Provide support to the research division in carrying out the research functions.

DUTIES:

  • Assist in implementing the Research Division's mission, objectives and work plans.
  • Implement appropriate research and evaluation strategies.
  • Support development databases and oversee data entry, checking and creation of standard tables and graphs.
  • Investigate the feasibility of automation of various portions of production and data management.
  • Design documentation and data presentations that are understandable to staff and clients.
  • Provide research and evaluation technical assistance to other WRMA divisions as needed.
  • Participate staff development activities to build research and evaluation capacity.
  • Develop, with other WRMA staff, responses to requests for proposals and grant applications as required from time to time.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis of data, as requested, to other staff and clients.

Economics Pre-Doc Workshop for Underrepresented Minorities
Friday September 24, 2021

A one day virtual workshop to connect promising undergraduates from U.S. universities with pre-doctoral hiring institutions.

Please help identify promising Underrepresented Minorities (URM) undergraduates who are interested in PhDs in economics and related fields. Pre-doctoral fellowships are increasingly becoming a route for undergraduates to learn the ins and outs of research, develop their own interests in economics research, and boost preparation for graduate school.

Students who attend will learn about pre-doc positions and meet with economists, pre-doc managers, current pre-docs, and graduate admissions directors from the participating institutions.

Promoting Achievement and Diversity in Economics (PADE) Accepting Applications

Promoting Achievement and Diversity in Economics (PADE) is a program that offers undergraduate students weekly study sessions for core economics classes and networking opportunities with professional economists. PADE participants are encouraged to consider graduate studies in economics or related fields, and receive additional support in applying for internships and jobs related to economics. PADE also aims to increase diversity and achievement among Economics majors, particularly for the BS degree, and more generally in the discipline of economics.
