BBNaija 2021: Pere, Maria, Queen, JMK, Cross And Sammie nominated for eviction

This week's eviction nominees are in! This time Pere, Maria, Cross, JMK, Sammie and Queen made the list. The housemates emerged the most nominated housemates following the nomination session.

Following Big Brother's announcement which originally included Peace, the week's HOH Liquorose was allowed to use her veto power to save and replace. She swapped Peace with Cross.

Interestingly, Liquorose had nominated both Peace and Cross for possible eviction.

After the nomination announcement, Liquorose was instructed to nominate her deputy and the new HOH chose Saga. Saga in turn chose Nini as he partner with whom he will he enjoy the luxuries of the HOH lounge.

EFCC revealed reasons why they broke into Dorathy Bachor's house at 5am

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has reacted to claims by former Big Brother Naija housemate, Dorathy Bachor, that her house was broken into by its operatives.

Recall that earlier today, Dorathy took to her Instastories to call out the agency after its operatives allegedly broke down the door of her apartment in the early hours of today while on the trail of a suspected fraudster. Read here.

Reacting to Dorathy's claim, EFCC in a statement released this afternoon, said its operatives broke into the house because they refused to open the door. The statement reads

The attention of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been drawn to a post on Instagram by one Dorothy Bachor, alleging that operatives of the Commission broke into her home in the early hours of today, 23rd August, 2021

The Commission can confirm that operatives from the Lagos Command of the Commission, acting on verified intelligence, executed a Search Warrant at a block of flats located in the Lekki area of Lagos on Monday, 23rd August, 2021 during which nine internet fraud suspects were arrested.

Ms. Bachor's apartment happened to be one of the flats in the building. EFCC operatives had knocked on her entrance door, identified themselves as being from the Commission on a mission to execute a Search Warrant. But they were refused entry, for several minutes by Bachor's sister. The operatives were left with no choice than to force their way in, lest suspects escape or destroy vital evidence.

It is important to state that law abiding citizens have no reason to refuse the execution of a validly obtained Search Warrant. And, contrary to the information making the rounds in the social media, Ms. Bachor was not present during the operation and the anti- EFCC stories about her coming out half-naked among other fantastical details appear to have been invented to fit the pattern she and other internet-fueled stars so desperately want to push about the EFCC.

It is important to reiterate that nine alleged internet fraud suspects were apprehended in the block of flats housing Ms. Bachor's apartment.

Vee And Laycon Ready To Release First Song Together

2020 BBNaija winner, Olamilekan Massoud Al-Khalifah Agbeleshebioba who is known as Laycon has asked his fans and other music lovers to anticipate his feature with his former housemate, Vee.

He made this known in a recent video we have sighted and in the video, Laycon and Vee were seen giving their fans some insights about the song.

We recall that Vee talked about her collaboration with the rapper on her Twitter page, months back.

Tega opened up to co-housemates Queen and Nini and revealed that she expects her fanbase to surprise her with a car and a house upon her exit from the house. "I just want to come out to a car and house," Tega said.


The actress and mom of one, made the revelation during a chat with co-housemates Queen and Nini amid a conversation about fan expectations.

While spectacular gifts like cars and houses are surprisingly not new with the Big Brother Naija fanbase, it is unclear if Tega has garnered as much religious following these past weeks since the new season kicked off.
 
Over the years, fans of former housemates have gone on to surprise their favourites with brand new cars, keys to apartments or landed property.

Recall newly evicted housemate, Princess was reported to have gotten a brand new car from fans. The reality star has, however, debunked the rumour as an 'audio car' which was never made known to her team.

The "Anybody" singer took to his verified Instagram page to show off his new branded Grammy wristwatch to fans and followers.

In the video, Burna Boy could be seen taking the wristwatch out of its box and flaunting it for all his followers to see his new Grammy arrival.

Actress, Funke Akindele -"why she rushed into my first marriage"

Popular Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele has revealed why she rushed into her first marriage with Adeola Kehinde Oloyede.

Recall that the mother of two in an earlier report had surfaced to warn people about the dangers of rushing into marriage. Using herself as a case study, she stressed that if one rushes into marriage, there are great chances of rushing out also.

Speaking with the popular celebrity interviewer, Chude Jideonwo, Funke Akindele revealed that she rushed into marriage due to pressure from family members and the excitement of having children.

Funke urged young people to learn from her story and take things bit by bit when it comes to marriage.

Funke Akindele's marriage with Kehinde hit the rock in 2013 and she later got married to the Nigerian rapper, JJC Skillz.


In her words:

"The only reason why i would share this with you is to encourage ladies out there that are in a rush to get married. The ones that feel bad and are pressured to get married. Calm down, take your time. If you rush in, you will rush out."

"I don't wanna drag anybody. I'll talk about me. I just wanted to get married. Children, pressure and all that. The marriage ended in a bad way. I was filming when someone called and told me. I wanted to die. I cried and lost a lot of deals."

"I survived that period by channeling my pain into work. I was collecting every script from the East and acting. "

"I rushed into the marriage out of pressure and it didn't end well"

Nollywood actor, Uche Maduagwu has disclosed to his followers that a lady getting pregnant before marriage makes her a good wife material.

The controversial actor shared this latest statement in a new post on his Instagram page, saying a woman who gets pregnant for her guy before marriage is the real deal.

According to Uche Maduagwu, any woman that cannot get pregnant for him first while dating is not qualified for marriage.


Taking to his official IG page, Uche Maduagwu wrote;

BBNaija’s Dorathy expressed anger after EFCC officials broke into her house, searching for a fraudster — “I can’t feel safe in my own house”

BBNaija's Dorathy Bachor has revealed what happened to her recently, as EFCC officials broke into her home searching for a fraudster.

According to Dorathy, she woke up at 5am in the morning to a loud bang on her door, only to see heavily armed EFCC officials inside her house … looking for a fraudster they believe ran into the estate.

The reality TV star took to her Instagram stories to express her anger at the latest development, saying it's an invasion of her privacy and the EFCC has no right to do so.


Dorathy Bachor wrote in a series of posts;

"@officialefcc You now break into people's houses and jump estate fences all in the name of doing your job.

"WHAT IS THE NEED OF BEING A CITIZEN OF THIS COUNTRY IF I CAN'T FEEL SAFE IN MY OWN HOUSE. IT'S 5AM AND I'M LITERALLY SHAKING AND SO UPSET RIGHT NOW."

Ex-Big Brother Naija housemate, Cynthia 'Cee-c' Nwadiora stated that she was the motivation behind strong women like Erica and Tacha who stood for themselves on the show.

This is coming following the viewer's comparison of the attitude of the reality star on the show that caused many heated arguments to that of other ex-housemates, Erica and Tacha.

Speaking with Chude, Cee-c stated that she feels comfortable with it as her stay in Big Brother's house made the likes of Tacha and Erica be themselves on the show.


"People are not used to having women of strong opinions in a show like that and I was the first.

"I loved the comparison with Erica and Tacha and it didn't make me uncomfortable. I feel I made people comfortable to go on the show and be themselves.


"By being myself I made Erica and Tacha comfortable to be themselves.

Bishop Oyedepo –Earphones Are Designed By Devil To Block Your Way Forward In Life

General overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (a.k.a. Winners' Chapel), Bishop David Oyedepo has spoken against the usage of earphones and phones during church service, saying that it is a tool the devil created to block people from hearing God's word.

During a church service, he said to his congregation;

"We live in a very rowdy time. Young generation, please listen to me. All these things you plug in your ear is to block your way forward. It is designed by the devil to block your way forward. No time to hear from God. Many have never heard anything from God. They even plug it in anywhere, on the streets. Noise, noise, noise! Zero access to divine guidance. Noise in the morning, afternoon, night.

We had a situation in South Korea, I saw it in one publication. Now 10,000 Churches were said to close down within 10 years, an average of 1,000 Churches per year.
Why? Children, young people will sit down in Church (with earphones): don't hear nothing Sir.
In fact Service would end, we were told and they won't know until they look around and see there is nobody around. Then they will leave. It is as terrible as that.
