Sometimes, we lay in bed while our minds are in the fridge. Late-night cravings are part of human wants. You try to fight it but find out you can't. So finally, after much hesitation, you get up from bed to the kitchen, where you stand for a while, contemplating what to eat.

You have heard about it and read in different places that eating at night is not suitable for your health, but you still go ahead anyway. Weight gain and stress are side effects of eating late, so it is not advisable to eat late, but if you must, below are some healthy options.

1. Turkey
Unless you are a vegetarian, you must probably love turkey. Not only is it delicious, but it is also rich in nutrients like protein. Turkey contains a nutritive compound called selenium that ensures the thyroid gland functions properly. In addition, the proteins in turkey make it an excellent food to eat at night because they promote tiredness and sleepiness.

2. White rice
White rice has no bran and germ because they have been removed due to processing. The removal of the bran and germ in white rice makes it low in fiber compared to brown rice. In addition, white rice contains many nutrients like folate, thiamine, and manganese, making it a perfect late-night meal.

3. Cheese and crackers
Crackers are a great source of carbohydrates, and cheese has tryptophan. These nutrients can help balance the sugar level in the body. When you take cheese and crackers together, it is rich brain food, and it facilitates melatonin production.

4. Fish
A great choice for non-vegetarians is fish, especially fatty fishes like tuna, salmon, and mackerel. These fishes have a significant amount of vitamin D. Vitamin D regulates the calcium in your body, so it is good for your skin, kidneys, and parathyroid glands. Fishes also contain Omega-3 fatty acids that have been proven to increase the amount of serotonin you produce and make you sleep better.

5. Warm cereal
Cereals contain a great deal of fiber, and oats have significant melatonin, which improves sleep. Before going to bed, a warm bowl of cereal and whole grains can help you sleep like a baby. Cereal contains little calories, and they won't keep you awake.

Davido Recounts How He Felt During His N200m Donations – “I Went Into My Room And Started Crying”

Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido has recounted how he felt when donations from friends and colleagues started coming in. The singer who featured in Temisan Emmanuel's TeaWithTay lates episode revealed that the call for N200m donation was not planned in anyway as many believe.

OBO narrated that he was getting a haircut at his balcony when he decided to ask his close friends to donate the sum of N1 million  as birthday gift. Soon after, he said he copied the intended message to be sent to his friends and pasted on his Twitter and boom, the rest is what we all know today.

Davido revealed that he was overwhelmed when the donations surpassed 60million,

Nigerian singer and 30BG leader, Davido has talked about the emergence of the figure many believe was cooling off in his account. In an interview with Temisan Emmanuel, the label boss recounted how the 30 Billion figure came out of nothing.

Davido recounted the production of his smash hit song 'IF' in 2017. According to the singer, Tekno invited him over to the studio for a beat he had promised would be fire. The 30BG term came from nowhere till it became a debate amongst fans. I mean, from Omo Baba Olowo to revealing the actual figure you have. It stuck and Davido sure milked it.

Mother of deceased 5-month-old baby narrates–“They locked my child in the house alone, kept him on tiled floor bare bodied”

Activist, Harrison Gwamnishu has made public the statement of the mother of the 5-month-old baby who died after being seized by his mother's boss over failure to clear a debt.

Taking to Instagram to pen the disturbing story, the activist captured how Madam Tina and her husband got to know Gift (the baby's mother) and how the child was starved and treated with no care which caused his death.

It was disclosed that the couple locked the child alone in a room and laid him on a tiled floor unclothed.

Who starved Chidubem, in whose custody?

Madam Tina and her husband left Lagos to the East for Christmas (December 2020) and also with the intention of getting a house maid, they met and convinced 17yr old gift to leave the village and come to Lagos with them. NOTE; The girl and the couple never knew she was pregnant

Getting to Lagos, She became their maid and later found out that she was pregnant. She was given little or no support from the couple till the birth of the baby

After delivery the maltreatment became worse; one day she was sent on an errand by 2am (November 2021) immediately she came back, her madams husband stopped her from entering the house and told her that she won't sleep in their house again and threw her luggage outside without her son, so she slept outside.

According to her "Getting back to the house the next morning Her child was locked in the house alone with a changed padlock"
She ran immediately to her Neighbors for help, they in turn contacted Madam Tina and she refused to come and open the door and release the child to her.

Madam Tina became very hostile to the girl and told her that she was owing her 5 million Naira and that she would only get her child when she has paid the said amount. Left with no other option, she began to look for what to do to pay up this fictitious debt.
While all this was going on Gift was also informed by Neighbours how her son was being kept on tiled floor bare bodied (locked in the room)

They decided to drop the boy with a neighbor

Now Poor Gift had no option than to take her poor child to the hospital"

Yerins Warns — Stop Sending Unsolicited Photos Without Consent

Reality show star, Yerimene Abraham Saibakumo also known as just Yerins has given his opinion about the act of taking and then sending unsolicited nude photos to people intentionally.

Yerin, who came to fame for participation in the Big Brother Naija 'Shine Ya Eye' reality show has frowned against the act of sending their photos unclad without the second party's consent.

The reality star took to his Twitter handle stating the micro-blogging platform should follow suit as it is a bad thing.

According to him, sending nude photos without one's consent can be linked to the act of rape.

Princess Shyngle, an actress, has revealed that she is a jealous partner and has disclosed some of the things she may do if she gets married.

Williams Uchemba, a Nollywood celebrity, raised the alarm on Saturday about the rise of fake prophets claiming to have received messages from God.

Ada Ameh fires at Ka3na over recent comment– “She is a stupid girl, her mother didn’t train her well”

Nollywood actress, Ada Ameh has fired back at the Big Brother Naija star, Ka3na Jones after the latter tagged the former a nuisance.

This brawl ensued after Ada Ameh slammed the investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo over her affirmation on the death of Sylvester Oromoni.

Ka3na while reposting the video fumed at the actress and noted that she is gradually metamorphosing into a nuisance.

Speaking to Punch Newspaper, Ada Ameh fired back at the reality star while describing her as a clout chaser. She also illuminated a previous occurrence to justify her claim that Ka3na just wants to be heard.

In her words:

"Ka3na is just a stupid girl that wants to be heard. If she said I am becoming a nuisance, I think her mother did not train her well and it has nothing to do with age.

"That is who I am and that is how I love to express myself. During the (COVID-19) lockdown, I spoke out concerning the poor electricity situation in the country. Popular actor and comedian, Bishop Umoh, also known as Okon Lagos is mourning the passing of his beloved mother.

Though further information about the cause of death remains unknown, the actor took to his Instagram account on Saturday to share the sad news.

Still in a state of mourning, the comedian disclosed that his mother's death left him depleted and numb.

The drama started after Tonto Dikeh shared a screenshot which exposed the moment Bobrisky accused Tonto Dikeh of hiding N300,000 which Mompha allegedly sent to her.

The Nigerian actor, Lateef Adedimeji, and actress Adebimpe Oyebade, also known as Mo Bimpe, are finally married and are now a married couple.

The couple had previously shared a copy of their wedding invitation card on their separate Instagram profiles.

Vitamin B-12 deficiency
Dietary nutrients or lack of them can cause dark knuckles. Research shows that knuckles pigmentation might be an external sign of a vitamin B-12 deficiency. Other symptoms that might showcase include weakness, constipation, etc.

Acanthosis Nigricans
This condition causes darkening and thickening of patches of skin over different parts of the body such as knuckles, joints etc This condition is harmless by itself and not infectious although some people might develop itchiness in the affected parts.

Acanthosis Nigricans can indicate presence of deeper health issues such as diabetes, hormonal imbalances or even cancer, so if you notice your knuckles or patches of your skin getting darker suddenly and itchiness persists, see your nearest health consultant.

Most lightening products consist harsh substances like lipohydroxy acid which is derived from salicylic acid. The acid whitens the skin fast by breaking down melanocytes which produce melanin, the pigment that gives the skin its natural brown color, which the skin reacts to and in really pigmented areas such the elbows or knees. This is the season we advertise for protective styling! Braids are the best option during this time, as your natural hair is kept safe from the harsh air, also application of leave-in conditioner is advised. P Square postpones upcoming concert due to illness

The event which was initially set to hold on Saturday, December 18, 2021 in Ikate, Lagos will now be held on Christmas Day, December 25, 2021.

"It has been a challenging couple of days trying to power through immense pain, fever and general body weakness.

"We were very excited about giving you an amazing show on the 18th; unfortunately, my body has taken quite a beating with several intense rehearsals back to back and studio that it just couldn't take it any more and I have had to give in to my doctor's orders to get some rest, build back my strength to get to optimum health," stated Peter in a statement released on his Instagram page.


Peter added, "The first thing I did was take a COVID test and thankfully my tests came out negative.

"We're very excited to step out as P Square again in a beautifully curated experience for our fans and as such we'll be looking forward to what will be the best show we've ever had, even as Peter recovers," Paul added in a statement.

P Square who have just reunited after a four year rift stunned fans with the announcement of the headline show which was set to hold at the annual Livespot X Festival.

Deola Art Alade, Managing Director and CEO of Livespot360, organisers of the festival, said she is looking forward to hosting the superstar brothers on Christmas Day, mentioning that it will definitely be the biggest show from P Square to date.

Livespot360 has also confirmed that ticket sales for the new date will continue and all previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled Christmas Day event.

All previous ticket holders will also receive an email from Livespot Nation with event updates and options if they cannot make the new date.
