The Expanding Diversity in Economics Summer Institute (EDE) is a University of Chicago program hosted by BFI designed to identify and support talented undergraduate students from a broad range of backgrounds interested in the study of economics. The EDE Summer Institute is now accepting applications for its three-week program which runs from June 6 – June 26. Applications are due February 11, 2022 at 11:59 PM Central Time. Register for the upcoming information sessions and office hours to learn more about the 2022 application process.Information Sessions: Meet with EDE staff and alumni to learn about the program, application requirements, and frequently asked questions. Office Hours: Have your questions answered by EDE staff and learn about the importance and impact of studying economics. Note: EDE is designed for undergraduate students who are early in their college career (e.g., freshman or sophomore) and is fully funded. |

Counseling Center Spring Programs Posted: 01 Feb 2022 07:00 AM PST The Counseling Center will continue to hold our Wellness Workshop series for students throughout the Spring semester! As a reminder, the Wellness Workshop series provides students with virtual skill-based workshops on 16 different topics rotating throughout each month. Students can attend as many of these drop-in workshops as they would like. No prior contact with the Counseling Center is necessary. Learn more: counseling.umd.edu/workshops/ Students do not need to be struggling to benefit from these workshops! For example, our Dealing with Disappointment, Managing Imposter Syndrome, Conquer Procrastination Now, and Effective Communication Skills workshops (just to name a few) address common life experiences for college students. |
