Opportunities at CBO for Assistant Analyst Posted: 11 Feb 2022 11:27 AM PST The Congressional Budget Office, a small nonpartisan agency that provides economic, policy, and budgetary analysis to the Congress, is seeking assistant analysts to work in various divisions. Specific duties vary by division, but most include research assistance, statistical analysis, database management, literature review, and quality assurance. Qualifications Candidates for this position must have the following:
This is an entry-level position limited to three years. The position is ideal for those interested in substantive work experience before attending graduate school in economics, public policy, or a related field. The position is only for those who have or are completing a bachelor's degree; it is not for those who have or are completing a master's degree. Divisions The following divisions at CBO may be seeking assistant analysts.
Salary and Benefits The starting salary will range from $52,500 to $55,000 and will be commensurate with related experience. CBO offers excellent benefits and a collegial, respectful work environment. Deadline Extended: Expanding Diversity in Economics, A UChicago Summer Institute Posted: 11 Feb 2022 11:17 AM PST The Expanding Diversity in Economics Summer Institute (EDE) is a University of Chicago program hosted by BFI designed to identify and support talented undergraduate students from a broad range of backgrounds interested in the study of economics. The EDE Summer Institute will continue accepting EDE applications on a rolling basis until Tuesday, March 1, 2022 at 11:59 pm Central Time. All decisions will still be announced on March 18, 2022.Note: EDE is designed for undergraduate students who are early in their college career (e.g., freshman or sophomore) and is fully funded. |
