INTERNSHIPS OFFERED AT:

American Trading and Production Corporation

American Trading and Production Corporation, Atapco for short, was originally formed to consolidate, expand and diversify the business activities of the Blaustein family, the founder of the American Oil Company (AMOCO). The Chief Investment Officer and the Senior Investment Officer of Atapco manage a diversified portfolio of investments comprised of public equity investment funds, private equity funds, and hedge funds. This opportunity will allow the selected candidate to participate in multiple aspects of the process and support the Chief Investment Officer and Senior Investment Officer in ad hoc projects.

Maryland State Retirement and Pension Systems

The Maryland State Retirement Agency is the administrator of the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System. The System is a multi-employer, public employees' benefit retirement system composed of twelve (12) separate retirement and pension systems with additional plan components. The Investment Division of the Maryland State Retirement Agency is responsible for investing the plan assets of the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System. The Pension System's assets are $67.9 billion as of the end of the FY2021 (ending June 30, 2021). The interns will have the opportunity to work in one or more areas of the Investment Division, which could include Public Equity, Fixed Income, Real Estate, Private Equity, Absolute Return, and/or Accounting and Operations.
