Nollywood actress, Dayo Amusa has disclosed why she stayed in an abusive relationship that almost ruined her life.

According to the light skinned actress, it was hard to leave but eventually she saved her life. She went on to advice those in abusive relationships to move before they lose their lives.

Revealing this in a post on Instagram in the wake of the different reactions to the death of gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu, who reportedly died from injuries inflicted from beatings from her husband,

As Nigerians continue to mourn the passing of gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, clergyman, Victor Ativie, has recounted how the late musician's husband, Peter Nwachukwu, allegedly hid the money paid to her after she came to minister in his church.

While preaching to his congregation, over the weekend, Pastor Ativie declared that Osinachi's husband killed her.

He further stated that the man is lazy, visionless and lazy, as he recounted his experience with the couple.

Pastor Ativie said;

"The man has killed her. Man without vision. Man that is jobless. Man that is lazy. She came to Benin to minister to us. As she came, she wanted to even stay till the next day but the pressure was too much. The man, the way he discusses money with you..He is too carnal.

I know that if a preacher comes, you should bless the person but you see, I don't like when a thing is too physical.

The way the man was discussing money will even make you hate the woman's gift but the woman carries something that is too deep that you cannot ignore.

After they had negotiated and we have paid fully, the woman came, ministered and left. The evening after she left, she called me and said 'Sir, did you send any love offering?'

We sent it one month before she came but he didn't tell the woman. Evil man. He didn't tell the woman that we have sent anything. We sent it one month before she came."he said

Popular Nigerian comedian Steve Onu, known by his stage name Yaw has stated that he is satisfied with the growth of the Nigerian comedy industry.

The stand-up comedian stated this in an interview where he mentioned that the growth of the comedy industry in the country is a beautiful thing to witness.

"Yeah! We've done a lot. We might not be where we want to be yet. We don't have a lot of our guys on comedy central and all that big platforms but we are doing so well in Nigeria.

"And like I love to tell people, the most important is, so far you can feed, take care of your family and all that; I think that's the most important thing.

"And gradually, a lot of our guys have become madly creative. They are very smart and all. So, I must say we are doing well."

When asked about the drastic number of people who have moved into skit making, the comedian stated that being funny is relative.

"For me, I think, what might be funny to you might not be funny to me. I see some of them and I just feel like this guy is not funny at all. And yet I see some people and I'm like this guy is just stupid.

"You know you can be stupid yet funny. Let me give a typical example. I love this guy so much, Mr. Funny. He is not doing much o! He doesn't stress himself that much but he is funny to me.

"A lot of people might not like his comedy but I love his comedy. So for me, a lot of people are coming into it, na work dem no get. Job no dey. And they believe that it will make them famous faster."

The saga of the marriage separation between Korra Obidi and her husband continues as a leaked chat of her affair surfaces.

According to a controversial blogger, Cuite Juls, Korra had a three months affair with a Lebanese businessman while in Nigeria who named his club after their steamy romance.

In a leaked chat between the mother of two and her husband where they debated on their divorce, Korra confirmed in the text that she thought Justin Dean had forgiven her and should never have mentioned the affair again.

Bright Okpocha hints at possible return for his comedy series ‘Papa Benji.’

Popular Nigerian comedian, Bright Okpocha known by his stage name, Basketmouth has hinted at a possible return for his comedy series 'Papa Benji.'

The star comedian teased his fans with a scene from the first season of the hit show, which featured deceased Nigerian musician Sound Sultan.

The post was shared on the comedian's Instagram page with the caption "Season 3 is Coming Soon."

The comedy series' second season dominated the screens for most of July 2021, and it ended after 14 seasons.

The comedy is set in Papa Benji's pepper soup joint and is based on a satirical subject matter (Bethel Njoku aka Senator).

Basketmouth, Buchi, and Jemima Osunde, among others, appear in the series.

Basketmouth is now working on a feature film that will begin production before the end of the year, leading to hints of a third season.

The popular quote which says 'every disappointment is a blessing' has caused disagreement between singer Dencia and a fan on social media.

Reprudencia Sonkey, widely known as Dencia, shared on her Instagram stories that there is no blessing in disappointments, nothing that setbacks lead to broken trust, and broken bond.

Dencia added that disappointments lead to loss of friendships, family and lots more. In her words; "I don't know who came up with the quote "every disappointment is blessing" cuz irl it isn't, sometimes it's broken trust, broken bonds, loss of friendships, family & more. Ain't no damn blessing in disappointments no matter how u try to spin it."

The post, which was shared on instablog9ja, has gotten mixed reactions on their page, with the Dencia's fans venting their disapproval and approval of her thought.

A lawyer identified as Honey G. Evarist has revealed the inhumane and humiliating treatment that was meted out on late singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu by her husband, Peter Nwachukwu.

The legal practitioner who claimed to be live at the Police Command, Abuja where Osinachi's husband was with their 4 children disclosed that the man holds down the woman and makes her children hit and stomp on her.

According to her, this made the female officers extremely livid.

She wrote:

"From relaible sources in London, JJSkillz has said before joining Funke in Nigeria, the couple had an initial understanding that the Scene One Producation will be family business with Funke and Adbul as certified owners and will be run by both parties. Also aside their production company both Abdul and Funke would be allowed to work on private jobs as well.

But after joining his better half, Funke never stopped behaving and making it clear that SceneOne Production is her own and will only let JJCskillz have a decent amount of money without having to explain himself and even that, Funke will have to see it as a reasonable excuse. Funke at least provocation will scream in a rudely manner even when third parties are around. Funke will freely take on private jobs but when it comes to Skillz being approached for other jobs with has no affiliations with their company, Funke will mostly come up with an excuse why Skillz can't and shouldn't take on the jobs etc.

Funke Akindele's step son, Benito has reportedly broken silence amid rumors of Funke Akindele and JJC Skills marriage crash.

Recently, there have been speculations that Funke and JJC Skills marriage was experiencing crisis.

Osinachi Nwachukwu’s mother and sister reveal – What Peter Nwachukwu told Osinachi that made her not to leave the marriage

Late Osinachi Nwachukwu's mother and twin sister have recounted their experiences with her husband, Peter.

In an interview with BBC Igbo, the mother of the sensational singer revealed that her daughter's husband said she could only leave their marriage in death.

She went on to disclose how he separated her (Osinachi) from them by denying her(mother) access to her grandchildren for 8 years and stopping her from coming for Omugwo (traditional Igbo custom for postpartum care by the woman's mother).

She further revealed that he never allowed her and her children to their house until Pastors intervened, and also pushed them out while she (mother) was sick.

The lady further avowed that Osinachi left her marriage for over a year, and only returned after her husband came with Pastors to beg.

According to the singer's mother, she told her a couple of times to leave, but Osinachi insisted on staying, insisting that the Bible frowns at divorce.

She also disclosed that before her daughter died, she and husband went for medical checkup and were told by medical experts that nothing was wrong with her. She however accused Peter of making up claims of his wife being a cancer patient.

The gospel singer's sisters including her twin, also shared painful experiences with Peter. They recounted how he pretended to be a nice person, till he got married to their sister.

They confirmed their mother's claim of not being allowed to do Omugwo for the singer's four children and also claimed that Osinachi was maltreated while pregnant and after child birth.

The singer's twin further disclosed that her sister was in distress when she sang her hit song, "Ekwueme" and that made her cry in the video which went viral afterwards. She added that her husband threatened to separate them and also fulfilled his threat.

They disclosed that Peter is unemployed and allegedly maltreated and extorted their sister repeatedly when she's paid for her song's ministration.
