Superstar singer Asa reveals she doesn't keep friends to avoid disappointments.

The talented singer disclosed this while speaking about her life outside performing on stage. Asa noted that she likes to stay indoors, where it is quiet.

Speaking to YouTuber, Kortey, Asa made it known that she prefers to be alone than to have friends around. She added that investing in people brings about disappointment, hence, her reason for having just a best friend, Janet, who is also her manager.

Asa, born Bukola Elemide, also said she had little help while growing up while discussing how her family didn't see any good in her music when she started as a musician.

 Deyemi Okanlawon has become one of the forces to reckon with in the movie industry, and his acting prowess has earned him notable lead roles in movies.

DJ Cuppy - 'I’ve genuinely forgotten I’m a full-time student since I started djing again'

Cuppy is currently studying African Studies at the University of Oxford.

Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola popularly known as DJ Cuppy revealed how she has been hugely distracted from school since returning to djing.

Cuppy gained admission to the prestigious University of Oxford in 2021.

In a post shared via her Instagram stories on Sunday, April 17, 2022, the billionaire heiress said she has forgotten about her studies because of the several gigs she has been getting lately.


"I can't even lie…Since I started djing again and taking on projects and bookings I have genuinely forgotten that I am indeed still a full-time student as Oxford university and have a whole research thesis due this summer," she wrote.

According to Cuppy, she has to remind her team about the importance of her studies.

"I have to keep reminding myself and my team that music cannot get in the way of school. Damn."

It would be recalled that she was accepted into the prestigious university in March 2022.

This will be the music star's second master's degree in six years.

Cuppy earned a master's degree in Music Business from New York University in 2015.

She is one of Nigeria's most influential disc jockeys.

Prophetess Rose Kelvin, a popular Abuja-based cleric has slammed men who use their wives' menstruation period as an excuse to cheat on them.

Asking men who are "pressed" to go ahead and have sex with their wives when they are on their periods, the cleric shared an encounter with a man who tested positive for HIV following an affair with another woman just because he felt his wife was unclean during her period.

Prophetess Rose further told men not to use "period" as an excuse to cheat on their wives as they can always make love to them with or without a condom.

Twitter agog as cybercitizens finger Chrisland Schools as the institution Ubi Franklin accused of concealing the rape of a 10-year-old girl by fellow students.

Recall that in an earlier post, we reported how Ubi Franklin took to the bird app to lament over his friend's 10-year-old daughter that was raped, filmed, and the video uploaded on Instagram.

However, in a follow-up tweet, he stated that the school secretly took the girl for a pregnancy test and later suspended her. He didn't mention the name of the school.

In his words:

"UPDATE ON MY PREVIOUS POST.

This school took the girl from her parents that they wanted to conduct a Covid test and the school rather took the girl for a pregnancy test.
As we speak the girl has been SUSPENDED from the school.
Some things don't make sense at all 💔💔💔"

Apostle Suleman asks; offers advice to victims of domestic violence –“Do the assaulted women not have brothers?”

Apostle Johnson Suleman of the Omega Fire Ministries has advised women in abusive marriages to leave while they are still alive.

Calling on women who are being assaulted by their husbands to report their ordeals to their biological brothers, the cleric noted that abusive husbands deserve beatings.

His appeal is coming amid massive reactions trailing the death of gospel singer, Osinachi Nwachukwu, whose husband, Peter Nwachukwu, physically abused in their marriage.

Speaking on Sunday, Suleman asked: "All those women that their husbands are beating, don't they have brothers?"

He added: "If they don't have biological brothers, they have Christian brothers."

The cleric also vowed to beat up any man in his church who is assaulting his wife.

"If you are on this church and you are beating your wife, stop it. If she reports you to me, we will beat you.

"I will go to the police station and take permission before I gather brothers in this church to beat you," the cleric said.

Actress Patience Ozokwo Opens Up On Marriage, Domestic Violence – She Poured Her Pain Into Music

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo has reacted to the death of gospel singer Osinachi Nwachukwu saying "pain she suppressed in her heart she poured into the song."

Patience Ozokwo said this in a recent interview with WAZOBIA FM while speaking about marriage and domestic violence.

She said:

"The problem with women is they'll be so overburdened, yet, be scared to speak up. If you're a man who can listen to them and you're informed, people would start asking if she's now dating the man.

They'll make speculations that suggest her closeness to the man is the reason she's being assaulted. When Osinachi's own happened, some said she was dating Frank Edward. They said these things. I was bothered.

If this woman spoke out, she wouldn't be dead now. But what was going on in her life made her sink deeper into her relationship with God. There was no how her songs wouldn't touch you deeply when you listen to them. People didn't know it's the pain she suppressed in her heart she poured into the song."

Osinachi, age 42, was a singer at the Dunamis Church Abuja. She died at the National Hospital in Abuja.

Manchester united star player, Cristiano Ronaldo has announced the sad passing of his newborn son in a heartbreaking statement.

The popular footballer revealed the death of one of his twin babies in a statement released on his Instagram page as they described it as the greatest pain any parent can feel.

Wizkid’s Babymama, Shola Reveals– "What My Son Told Me About 10-Year-Old Girl’s Leaked Tape"

Shola Ogudu, the mother of singer Wizkid's son Boluwatife, has weighed in on the viral tape of a 10-year-old female student who engaged in an act with other male students.

Recall that a video of a 10-year-old female student of Chrisland Schools Lagos, allegedly raped by fellow students during a trip to Dubai, UAE, went viral recently.

The incident reportedly happened when the students traveled to Dubai to participate in the World School Games from March 10 to 13, where the school won over 30 medals.

Countering the rape claims, Shola said she accompanied her son who is a pupil of the school on the Dubai trip and the girl participated in a truth or dare game that eventually led to sexual activity.

"It took me a lot of thinking before dropping this comment. The way we just throw the word 'RAPE' around so loosely without considering how much damage it can cause.

Firstly, as parents we need to pay close attention to our kids and what we expose them too, cos mahn it's a crazy crazy world we live in."

Narrating what her son told her, she said,

"Secondly, I accompanied my son to represent his school at the just concluded WSG and I can say for a fact that the 10 yr old in question was DEFINITELY not raped,"

"I remember vividly the 'SHOCK' in my son's face when he was telling me about a video some other kid was watching, he said Mum, I couldn't stand the video I had to excuse myself, he said the gist circulating was that the girl and her click played a game of truth or dare, of which this particular girl couldn't stop with the mind bugging' DARES' I couldn't believe my ears when I learned about the nasty activities this lil kids get themselves involved in.

"To make matters worse, even when she was accosted about the video, she was owing it with her full chest, saying yeah it's me in the video and so."

Shola also claimed it was unfair to blame the teachers of the school for the actions of the pupils, adding that they were strict.

In her words, "It bothered me so much, I needed to see this kids I question so I'll know how to advice my child against such kids (well he knows better) before they use their reggae to spoil my blues. God Abeg.

But seeing this post now and the twist of it all, I just couldn't take it ( cos I know for a fact how very very strict the teachers were on this trip) blaming such immorality and negligence on the school is unfair cos it DEFINITELY WASNT RAPE!!!

if ma'am, they were in a hotel where other schools also stayed at, To avoid stories that touch like this, they made sure the boys room was on the 10th floor and the girls room 2nd floor.

The teachers did their parade 3-5 times daily making sure they were all in their rooms.

Their were over 70kids to 5-6 teachers( this teachers went through hell trying to get them together) But for you to know how badly behaved this kids were, they waited till after mid night (after the last roll call) to get their nasty acts on.

You can blame the guardians all you want for trying their best and breaking their backs for kids all you want, but CHARITY BEGINS AT HOME."

Amidst the disturbing leaked sex tape involving minors of Chrisland School, Nollywood actresses,  Dayo Amusa and Kate Henshaw have learnt their voice to the unfortunate incident.

Actress Dayo Amusa amongst other celebrities who have reacted says Chrisland Schools is always trending for the wrong reasons following the sex tape scandal of some of its pupils.

The light-skinned actress made the statement on Twitter on Monday, questioning why the school is always in the news for the wrong reasons. Dayo Amusa tweeted:

"Why is this Chrisland School always trending for the wrong reasons?"

Chrisland Schools has also  come under fire over the scandal.

The incident comes about three years after a former supervisor of the school, Adegboyega Adenekan was sentenced to a 60-year imprisonment term by an Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court over child defilement.

Adenekan was jailed on a one-count charge of defiling a two-year and 11-month-old pupil. Critics of the school say the institution should be closed over its recurring child sex scandals.

Fellow actress , Kate Henshaw, has demanded the leaked sex tape be pulled down from the internet.

The video, which has circulated the internet shows the minors engaging in sexual activity during a truth or dare game in Dubai.

Reacting to the video on Twitter on Monday, Kate Henshaw stated that she does not want to see any video involving children having sex. She tweeted:

"Under no circumstances do I want to see any video that shows children, children I repeat, in acts they shouldn't be engaged in… That video should be pulled down from the Internet."

Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has reacted to the heightened discussion surrounding the disturbing leaked tape involving minors of Chrisland School, Lagos State.

Rema Begs Lecturers ASUU To Call Off Strike

The lingering Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU strike has made Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema to lament.

Recall that on February 14th, ASUU embarked on a one-month warning strike and extended it by another two months, over the alleged failure of the government to fulfil its agreements.

Students have been at home since then waiting for the strike to be called off.

Rema who had earlier disclosed he got admission to study at the University of Lagos, UNILAG, on Monday urged ASUU to call off the strike.

He lamented that he has not started schooling since he got the admission.

The 21-year-old star said this via this Twitter handle.

His tweet read: "ASUU, since dem give me admission I never start school o, e don do nau!

Meanwhile, Chris Ngige, the Minister of Labour and Employment, at his last meeting with ASUU told the union to look for better ways to pressurize the ministry of Education rather than embarking on strike.

The minister noted that he has no control over the current impasse between the Federal Government and the ASUU, adding that things are above his control because he's not the Minister of Education.

DJ Kay Slay Finally Dies After 4-Month Battle With Covid-19

Keith Grayson, professionally, DJ Kay Slay, who is a popular American disc jockey and record executive is dead.

The Hip-Hop icon who hails from New York City, died from medical complications resulting from a lengthy battle with COVID-19 on Easter Sunday, April 17.

Veteran Hip Hop promoter Van Silk said that the 55-year-old died on Easter Sunday, four months after being hospitalized with COVID-19, HipHopDX reported.

"Hip Hop lost a real gem," Silk told HipHopDX.

"My dear brother is gone. I've known him since he was 16 years old. He was my little brother. I introduced him to many and we did a lot of things together.

"We last talked December because we were finishing up the 200 rolling deep project. He was gonna do his video part with MC Sha-Rock.

"From the mixtapes to helping him launch Straight Stuntin' magazine and the whole What The Science project, the world not only lost a real dedicated person to the culture of Hip Hop but a source of bridging the gap in Hip Hop. I'm gonna miss my little brother."

Portable tells Police as they allegedly try to arrest him in Delta State – “I’m a celebrity, do you know how much I’m worth?”

Fast-rising singer, Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable has been captured in a viral clip speaking with some policemen who allegedly tried to arrest him.

The controversial figure who is constantly making the news for various reasons could be seen furiously explaining himself to the police officers while he was encircled by his guys and onlookers.

He challenged the policemen as he could be overheard in the clip asking whether they know he's a celebrity and if they have any idea how much he's worth.
According to reports the episode had occurred in Delta State.
