June 1, 2023 Today on New Security Beat Greening Eggs and Ham: Animal Feed and GHG Emissions in the United States and China By Karen Mancl Greenhouse gas emissions from the animal feed sector are unexpectedly impacted by a wide range of international policies. The United States and China, as major contributors to methane emissions, have an opportunity for collaboration on developing alternative live stock feeds and energy grain drying systems that would help both countries find win-win solutions to produce greener "eggs and ham."
