October 10, 2023 Today on New Security Beat From Floods To Disaster: A Conflict- And Climate-Sensitive Recovery Pathway For Libya By Sinéad Barry, Alexandra Steinkraus, and Benjamin Pohl More than 11,300 people died in the floods that struck eastern Libya last month. The international community must pursue recovery pathways that consider conflict dynamics and climate change to build resilience for a future that will see more frequent bouts of intense storms.
