Beyond the fighting in those troubled lands, we're seeing the rapid growth of technologies like artificial intelligence that are disrupting and transforming a wide range of industries and sectors. This is pushing East and West to compete to build and secure resilient supply chains in critical sectors, all while ensuring our key partners can pursue new opportunities to meet their own economic aspirations. In short, the pages of human history seem to be turning faster than perhaps any point in our lifetime. When Congress first chartered the Wilson Center, they understood there would be times like these, that we would be needed to help decision-makers steer US foreign policy amidst unprecedented global developments.
