Neighbours Pass Judgement To Flog Man Who Beats His Wife Always Posted: 23 Dec 2017 08:57 AM PST In what can be called Community Court, a judgement was passed by neighbours to flog a man who is a wife beater. According to a neighbour who wants to remain anonymous, the man's act of beating his wife has become a daily occurance. "He beats up his wife at slit provocation, that is why we decided to discipline him; to see if this could help and put an end to it, before he kills the woman". The premiere, adopted as the official movie screening for Edo Festival, occurred Sunday, December 17 in Benin, and comes after the film made its world debut at the 2017 Hollywood and Africa Prestigious Award and the World Music and Independent Film Festival, among other festivals. The event was attended by the first daughter of the Oba of Benin and her husband, Prince and Princess Osahon Aimiuwu, the cast and crew of the film including Desmond Elliot, Toyin Aimakhu, Jemaima Osunde, Ufuoma McDermott, Lancelot Imasuen , Charles Uwagbai, Monica Swaida and top officials of Edo State Government, among others. A collaboration between Nollywood and Hollywood, "Esohe" has been described as a cocktail of love, murder and mystery connecting two centuries. The engrossing Epic is a story of undying love, unflinching loyalty and deviously woven intrigues that is served in a cocktail of the rich Bini tradition. The movie is a fictional story by Charles Uwagbai and Efetobore Ayeteni, written by Bimbo Manuel, the movie is produced by Charles Uwagbai, Monica Swaida and Robert Peters. Chinese Man Burns After Rushing Back To A Burning Factory To Get His Phone Posted: 23 Dec 2017 01:06 AM PST This is the horrifying moment a worker turned into a human fireball after rushing back to a factory in east China to get his phone. Onlookers had to blast fire extinguisher towards the burning man and called for ambulance service immediately. It's reported that he is still staying in intensive care unit after treatment. Footage emerged on Pear Video showing that a factory in Ningbo of Zhejiang Province burst into flames in the afternoon of December 11. The premises were confirmed to be the China Hookah Manufacturing Company. The cause of fire remains unknown. He can be seen walking around with torn clothing after colleagues putting out the fire on him. Jiulonghuzhen, the local town official released a notice on Weibo, a Twitter-like social media platform, confirming that the fire was put out after two hours. The injured worker was sent to hospital for treatment. He is now recovering in stable condition. A Compassionate Man In G-Wagon Hands Money To Boys Selling Firewood Ahead Of Christmas Posted: 23 Dec 2017 12:57 AM PST Mr. Akinaka Richard, a highly compassionate Nigerian was moved to touch the lives of young fire wood sellers as he was on transit. The philanthropist who was driven in a G-wagon spotted 7 young boys fetching firewood to sell and stopped his driver and gave the sum of N5,000 each for them to buy Christmas clothes ahead of the yuletide. This singular act has made him to trend online for some time now!. He also gave money to a small boy whom he saw hawking goods on the road to get himself something to wear for the Christmas. Akinaka Richard shared his story via his Facebook page and wrote the lines below: I came across this kids this afternoon who reminded me of how the anxiety of not having something new to wear in the festive period would push me to do similar things to raise money just to get something new for the season.
