Car Submerged By Flood After A Heavy Downpour In Benin-City

Benin city, Edo state capital, experienced a heavy down pour yesterday in what can be called the first rain of the year in 2018.
Some people were caught on the road as it rained heavily. Eye witnesses disclosed that houses were submerged and cars were not spared as can be seen in the picture above as shared by a Facebook user Micheal Junior.

Davido, Phyno At Burna Boy’s Private Listening Of “outside” Album

Friends, family, press and the media  were all treated to a private party by Burna Boy as he gave them first listen opportunity to his forthcoming album "Outside" at WéRé House in Lekki, Lagos.

According to him, the album would be released on all digital music platforms on the 26th of January under Atlantic Records.

Douglas Jekan of Beat FM was the host of the event. He piloted Burna Boy through a series of questions about the album. Burna Boy said every song on the album was inspired by something in his life, revealing "Where I'm From" as his favorite and most personal song. He explained how a trip to Port Harcourt led to "City Vibration" and recounted his experience with Drake that led to "More Life", the album's opener.

Celebrities from the entertainment space in Nigeria were there among whom were; Burna Boy's Grandfather, Benson Idonije, as well as his mother and sister. Davido, Phyno, Skales, Idia Aisien, Nonso Bassey, Odunsi (The Engine), Idyl, Leriq, DJ Lambo, Chopstix and DJ Spinall. Guests were treated to sumptuous food and drinks, while Burma Boy was served his favorite, Port Harcourt's Boli and fish.

Nigerian Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo is in Liberia to attend the Inauguration Ceremony of the newly elected Liberian President George Weah in Monrovia, Liberia.
Mr. George Weah an ex football internationale contested for the number office in Liberia for the second time and won, after going back to school.

John Dumelo, handsome Ghanaian actor, whose engagement news went viral yesterday and even got Nigerian media personality, Toke Makinwa, reaction, is not yet engaged.

Yesterday the finger of a lady with an engagement ring on the finger, which John Dumelo titled 'She said YES' is not his fiancee, but that of his best friend Fred Nuamah (Chief Executive of Ghana Movie Awards) fiancee.

According to a new video, John Dumelo shared via his Instagram page, he siad:

So my good friend and brother @fredericknuamah proposed to his lovely lady @martekor_ 35,000 feet in the air...and offcourse She said yes!!!! Congrats fred!!!!

Laide Bakare, Nollywood actress has debut into the music industry with the launch of her own record label. The well known Yoruba actress launched the new label SIMLINE INTERNATIONAL to join the league of other record labels in Nigeria.

The Nollywood actress mother of one who posed with her daughter in her record label t-shirt, in her press release stated that this move wasn't done overnight and has been a long term ambition of hers. 
Announcing the new Simline records on her social page, Laide wrote;

Horrific Videos Of African Slaves Being Tortured In Libya Emerge

More videos of African slaves going through torture in Libya has continued surface online. This recent ones are so horrific you weep for them. 

These latest videos were shared online by a website called flyheight.com, alleged from the Middle-East and an unconfirmed information revealed that they were posted by the slave masters.

Online users has called on the United Nations to wade into these pathetic issues.

One of the videos shows an unclothe black man squirming in pain as a masked man burns his back with liquid fire. Another shows four men being whipped on their bare backs. The back of one of the men was terribly torn from the whip.
