COREN - Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria, President Kashim Ali has raised alarm over the bridge constructions going on in Imo State by the Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
He disclosed yesterday that the bridges under construction by the Imo State Government has no engineering design.
According to dailytrust.com.ng Kashim revealed this when he led members of the council on a courtesy visit to the Senate yesterday. The council was received by former Senate president, David Mark, Senators Barnabas Gemade (APC, Benue) and Ibrahim Gobir (APC, Sokoto).

COREN

In his words; "Tragedy is about to happen in Imo State. Bridges are being built in Imo without design; it is a disaster waiting to happen."

He however sias that COREN will not stop the project, because it is not within their powers to do so, and solicited the support of the Nigerian Senate to do some amendment to the COREN Acts so as to empower them with such powers to enforce findings on buildings and related construction defects.

Former Senate president, Senator David Mark however described it as unfortunate the construction of bridges without engineering design, saying the Senate will support the amendment of the act to empower COREN.

Aunty Wumi is like a blood relative to me.

After 2 weeks in America (mid 90s) my uncle kicked me out because i complained bitterly about his weed smoking habits.

I had only few dollar and was homeless..

This woman heard my story n took me to her matrimonial home, I lived with her for many months till i got a job n place of my own.

She didn't' know me from Adam nor is she from Delta.

Aunty Wumi, tears r rolling down my cheeks as i write this. U have a good heart and u deserve to be happy.

Happy married life.
