"Once a person finds a way to be grateful, their MINDSET changes and then their heart. I believe gratefulness is a special gift from God. It is transforming.

My first real red-pill was early in life. My wife and I took a day trip to Hatti. Once we landed at some airport in the middle of nowhere, we saw women carrying large jugs on their heads. Some were riding donkeys/burrows. Most had no shoes. I was SHOCKED that people lived this way. My wife and I just looked at each other in silence, feeling as if we were in some twilight zone. The smell we did not recognize, but it was putrid. As we entered the first village the smell became stronger. There were many people on crutches that were made from the limb of a tree. A lot of homes were lean to tarps or palm leaves with open walls. There was a large open palm covered porch in which the village had piles of shrimp, fish and vegetables. Old people were hovering over thier piles of goods. I saw one old person squatting next to their pile of shrimp urinating, which was running into their pile. As the only 2 white people in the village at the time we stood out bigly. Children were running along side our driver, shouting, "dollar, please give us a dollar". Our hearts broke and we wept openly at the conditions compared to our own.

I think about this scene often and realize how it could have been me born into this poverty and misery. I am grateful to be an American, to have an opportunity to know God and his word. I find many many things to be grateful for everyday. After that experience, it is not hard to be gr"teful and generous to others, anyway you can." Popeye1
