With SINYM, Sarz shows that he doesn't need words to prove he is nobody's mate

Sarz shows that he doesn't need words to prove he is nobody's mate

Sarz is one of Nigeria's most prominent beatmakers with a credited catalogue of hit songs longer than the careers of a number of his peers.

He kicked off his career as a producer officially in 2007, but it wasn't until 2010 when he was able to make an impactful impression working with Jah Bless on his hit single, 'Joo Or.'

The success of the single opened the doors as many came in search of that distinct sound of his which led to other early records including Reminisce's 'Kako Be Chicken' and his first ever single, 'Beat of Life' with Wizkid.

While a lot of producers have come and faded off the scene, Sarz has been here, growing, evolving, helping younger producers find their feet and being futuristic in his sound.

On a yearly basis, his signature sound comes attached to a number of hit songs and it's 2019 that he finally delivers his long-awaited debut offering, one that is experimentally novel not just in the sound but in its title as he boldly declares ''Sarz Is Not Your Mate.''

The 6-track project, which he says was put together in two weeks sees Sarz uniquely take a trippy and eclectic yet electrifying left-field adventure inspired by the 'Riddim' sound [A Jamaican adaptation of the word Rhythm].

Riddims culturally have to do with dub-steps and dance sounds with an infusion of instrumental backgrounds of a number of compositions from reggae, EDM, dancehall and whatever works to make the final product an eventful listening.

In his words, ''This isn't an album. This project is something I've always wanted to do cos I wanted to push new ideas in this scene.''

From the project's opener 'Good Morning Riddim', which sees a mix of drums, light keys and funky bass sound, Sarz asks his neighbors if they are ''feeling ok.''

Inbox Riddim' takes a more local approach with the chopped vocals of Wizkid and Lil Kesh who was re-echoing the slang, ''Gbese'' giving it that street edge, while 'Spiritual Riddim' creates a synth vibe of fairly subdued and calming harmonic drops.

The tape's only pre-released single, 'Hello Africa Riddim' takes a nostalgic journey down Dr Alban's 90's classic with his signed artist, Flash's supporting vocals adding an infectious flare that is near impossible to resist.

Lil Kesh's vocals again work on 'Celetronic Riddim' which has a killer drop with the tape coming to a close with 'Legwork Riddim.'

The landscape of music production has shifted globally and Sarz understands that to stay relevant in the game, being unpredictable is one asset that he has to be armed with.

SINYM is a prodigious 23 minutes long ride that takes listeners on a groovy and hyper-rhythmic trip, which, depending on your taste can get predictable and insipid at some point, especially on this side of the world where we love our vocals and fusion and EDM is still relatively grey.

His trademark love for drums is not lost in this exciting shift in style, and with the chopped vocals infiltrating the beats at timely intervals, SINYM attains a broad degree of success .

All in all, Sarz confirms that he is genre-flexible beat-maker and while his pop hits are testament of his magical keys, he is not a producer trapped in that world as he can as well usher you onto the dance-floor without the support of the hooks or verses.

"This year, I am going to speak to those people who might be going through a phase in their life right now where they're feeling shamed as a result of things they've done at some point in the past — or who are not necessarily bold enough to take the step and own certain things. Everyone has self-esteem issues. Everyone has one or two things that they are not proud about.

"If we are open to the invention of technology, why are we not open to the invention of medical science? If you are someone who wants to get a boob job for yourself, if you want to get any part of your body enhanced, don't let anybody shame you for making those choices. It is the same God that gave the scientist the brain to invent certain things like phones, sim cards, that gave doctors the brain to find new ways to make the body better," she said.

2019 Presidency: Atiku’s Wife, Titi Discloses What Atiku'll Do If Buhari Is Defeated

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:45 PM PST

Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar
Wife of the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)'s Presidential candidate, Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar, has said her husband Atiku Abubakar, would liberate Nigeria from what she termed "bondage" if president Buhari is dislodged from office in next month's presidential election.

Mrs Titi Abubakar spoke on Wednesday at a Town Hall meeting she held with stakeholders in Abeokuta, Ogun State capital, ahead of next month election.

She submitted that President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressive Congress (APC) had plunged Nigeria into economic crisis, insecurity, massive poverty and unemployment.

The PDP Presidential candidate's wife also expressed worry that unemployment had pushed a number of youths into criminal activities, Daily Post reports.

She however, said Atiku will return an inclusive government by restructure Nigeria and return governance to the "good old days."

She said: "You have no other President than Atiku. He was there before as Vice President. He has done it before and he will do it again. He was the one who led President Obasanjo's economic team. The eight years was meaningful to Nigeria. The APC government which is barely four years in power and everything has gone worse.

"We're in bondage. Vote Atiku to liberate us. It's an inclusive government that we are going to have because it would be the government by the people and for the people. We want to be the servant of our people because we are the chosen one."

‘APC Has No Presidential Candidate’ – Pastor Giwa Bursts

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:27 PM PST

Pastor Giwa, the senior Pastor of the Awaiting The Second Coming Of Jesus Christ Gospel Church,  has declared that the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, does not have a presidential candidate.

Giwa, in a statement to DAILY POST on Wednesday, claimed that "the person being paraded by the APC as presidential candidate is a ghost".

He urged National Leader of the APC, Bola Tinubu and other party leaders to confess to Nigerians rather than deceiving them.

"Those stage-managing Buhari are not wishing the country well, just because they want to be holding on to power. I have said it that President Buhari has stopped functioning well since he returned from the United Kingdom medical vacation last year.

"One can quickly judge president Buhari by his actions, and that tells you that all is not well. How can a presidential candidate of a particular party handing over the flag to a presidential candidate of the same party. Things are currently falling apart and the centre can no longer hold.

"Alhaji Tinubu and others are stage-managing president Buhari because of their selfish interest. They have talked to the wife of the president to cooporate with them.

"Politicians enjoy power a lot, and that has changed the mind of Mrs. Aisha Buhari. Do know that lies don't last forever.

"Buhari you are seeing now is not the person we used to know. The president has lost his grip on reality and that suggests that there are dangerous times ahead.

"Why are these politicians behaving this way? Why are they playing with people's lives and future?.

"The truth is lost in Nigeria; you cannot have true liberty without true righteousness. What's true for individuals is true for a nation, because a nation is composed of individuals.

"When we lose character and righteousness, then we will lose liberty. It is high time people started reviving Nigeria by voting for the right candidates."

The cleric, however, urged Nigerians to open their eyes and ignore selfish, wicked and treacherous politicians as the country prepares for the 2019 general elections.

How I was coerced, begged to indict ex-Gov Shema in EFCC case – Witness tells court

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:20 PM PST

Mallam Lawal Ibrahim Dankaba
Mallam Lawal Ibrahim Dankaba, former chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON, in Katsina State, Wednesday, told the State High Court that he was made an accomplice in money laundering case against former Governor, Alhaji Shehu Shema, because he refused to implicate the latter.

According to him, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had after extensive investigation told the State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Ahmad Usman El-Marzuq at a meeting held at the EFCC office in Abuja by EFCC operatives consisting of Abubakar Buba, Abu Fari and one Mr Edward, that the commission did not have no water-tight case sufficient to secure conviction if the former governor was taken on trial.

The defendants are Shehu Shema, Sani Hamisu Makana, Lawal Ahmad Safana and Ibrahim Lawal Dankaba.

They are being accused of diverting local government allocations for their personal benefit, Daily Post reports.

"I was invited by EFCC on November 16, 2016. But what followed was a meeting. We were later asked to come to ISOS office of the commission for a meeting where I met the Hon. Attorney General, (Ahmad) El-Marzuq and Rabe Nasir.

"They (State Government officials) demanded an update and Barrister Etuk (pointing) told them that EFCC has professionally done their investigation and they do not have enough evidence to prosecute the matter", Dankaba told the court.

However, the former LG boss said Rabe who is now a Special Adviser to the Katsina State Governor, had interjected that if EFCC didn't have enough evidence, he had evidence and that he had posted some on the internet for the anti-graft agency to use against the accused persons.

Dankaba also said "there was a time he ( El-Marzuq) and the first defendant (Shema) could not afford choice cars but see how the man roams the street with lots of them now" as sufficient evidence to recover Katsina State monies from him. In all the meetings, they made it clear that "I should know the target and co-operate".

The former LG chair alleged there was a concerted effort by the EFCC and the State Government to coerce and intimidate him to give evidence against the former State Governor which he resisted for which he was put in an underground cell at an EFCC facility between January 25 and February 16, 2016.

"After I was released, the EFCC operative apologised to me but I don't think it has left my mind since that day", he said.

Dankaba said these while giving evidence before Justice Bako Maikaita.

The former chairman of Kaita local government pointed to Mr U.T. Uket who was leading prosecution against him, the former governor and two others for alleged diversion of N11billion fraud of public funds as the man who told the State Attorney in the presence of others that the commission lacked of sufficient evidence to get a conviction against the former governor for the alleged financial crimes levelled against him.

To buttress the allegation of intimidation, the ex-ALGON boss said his lawyer was equally forced out of the EFCC facility because they said "it is against their tradition for lawyers to be present when taking such statements. It happened on January 25th and October 31st when I went to EFCC with my lawyer, Barrister Aliyu Ahmed Yola"

Under cross-examination, he said the treasurer of ALGON, who served as the chairman of the body before him, Hussein Dabo, "might have been left out of prosecution" because as a co-signatory to him he ought to have been charged with him but "he probably co-operated".

Dabo was chairman of ALGON between 2012 and 2014 while Dankaba took over between November 2014 till the end of the administration in May, 2015.

The lead counsel who took over from Hajiya SB Umar didn't counter the allegation when he was cross-examining Dankaba.

Dankaba had objected to the acceptance of three separate statements credited to him by the EFCC as being obtained under duress.

"I didn't volunteer these statements", he said, adding that they were dictated to him by EFCC operatives who insisted that he must write it as they wanted.

"Buba dictated to me what the answers should be. He would say that is not how I wanted you to write it".

However, the lead counsel, U.J. Etuk, who was accused of cutting a deal with the State Government, accused the prosecution witness of discrediting the report he volunteered, adding that Dankaba was cautioned before being asked to volunteer his statements.

"There was no threat or intimidation, whatsoever".

EFCC also objected to Barrister Yola's choice as a witness in the "trial within trial" had defended the prosecution team all through the various stages of trial.

The trial judge adjourn till Thursday January 24, 2018.

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:01 PM PST

Governor Nyesom Wike
Mr. Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, has declared that President Muhammadu Buhari spent his time in government, struggling to generate security crisis in Rivers, because he was not interested in the growth of the state.

The Governor, speaking during the opposition People's Democratic Party (PDP) campaign rally for Ahoada East Local Government Area at the Ahoada temporary stadium on Wednesday, claimed that Buhari deliberately refused to grant any request for assistance by the state government.

The Governor said Rivers people were determined to vote for Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and other PDP candidates, because the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) is a fraudulent party that should be sent to the political wilderness.

"Instead, the Buhari administration instigates crisis because they want to generate confusion.

"Atiku Abubakar will bring back the industrial estate in Ahoada and also revive our ports.

"The Buhari administration lacks knowledge of the fundamentals of development. Hence, they must be voted out," Wike said.

Mr. Peter Obi, the Vice Presidential candidate of the PDP, has reiterated his support for a pro-business administration with his impromptu visit to markets in Lagos, to understand first hand, what they go through.

The visit ended up becoming a carnival of some sort, as the traders in the markets closed their shops, shut down the streets, while chanting praises of the two term Governor of Anambra State.

Recall that while Obi was Governor of Anambra State, he ran an anti-wastage government which cut down on cost of running governance, starting from selling off the Governor's lodge in Abuja, so he could fund education in the state.

Anambra State later moved from 28th in education across the country to 1st because of this radical initiative by Obi.

He was welcomed in the most joyous of ways with jubilant crowd, chanting and singing songs with his name.

Kenya's Telecoms Firm Invests In Cybersecurity Business

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 07:09 AM PST

Bob Collymore
The advent of technology and higher internet usage has made things easier and convenient for both businesses and individuals. However, this has brought with it the risk of cyber-attacks by hackers.

A new cybersecurity report from Vodafone highlights that the more cyber-ready a business becomes, the better its overall business outcomes. According to the Cyber Ready Barometer, 48% of cyber-ready businesses are reporting more than 5% increases in annual revenue as well as high stakeholder trust levels.

Safaricom has moved to diversify its business portfolio with the launch of a cybersecurity solution targeted at Kenyan firms looking to protect their information and communications technology (ICT) systems.

The telecommunications firm, which is the region's most profitable company, now says it is offering security services to businesses and individuals to help them reduce the risk of loss of money and sensitive data.

The new service will enable firms to secure their emails and websites, manage vulnerabilities, test and audit IT systems as well as access real-time monitoring as companies face increasing threats of hacking and fraud from tech-savvy criminals.

The Safaricom CEO, Bob Collymore, had this to say about the new product,  "We realise that customers all have unique needs and different budget levels. Our I.T cybersecurity solutions are designed to cater for each customer's needs so that they can get the best value and strategically select their solutions. We are excited to see that the solution is gathering interest with some of our customers in the financial services and transport industries already signing up for the service."

The venture comes as a study last year revealed that financial institutions in Kenya lost approximately Sh21.2 billion to cybersecurity attacks in 2017.

According to a report by IT Solutions firm Serianu, criminals withdrew more than Sh18 billion from victims' accounts, forcing banks to compensate nearly the same amount.

Several lenders, saccos and even the Kenya Revenue Authority reported losing millions of shillings in daring attacks, forcing firms to scramble for products to increase the resilience of their IT systems to attacks.
The highest risks faced by financial institutions came from insider threats, banking malware and ATM skimming.

The governorship candidate lamented that both the federal and the Lagos State government have failed in their responsibilities to protect the lives and properties of the citizenry. He added that the rate of crime in the state has increased due to lack of jobs and high rate of poverty inflicted on the masses by the government.

Musa advised the Akinwunmi Ambode-led administration to focus on combating crime, unemployment and poverty in the state, instead of its current effort to beautify the environment, by constructing bus-stops and motor parks across the state.

The ANDP candidate berated the Ambode-led APC government for failing to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people, after almost four years in power. He stressed that a government that cannot deliver in its electoral promises has failed the electorates and should be voted out of office.

The governorship candidate contended that if elected into office he will carry out three major cardinal programmes of sports development, tourism and entertainment, to create jobs, revenue generation and to increase internally generated revenue.

He stated that he was contesting for the governorship seat because the incumbent government has failed to address the excruciating poverty and deprivation, stressing that if elected he would make Ejigbo the Nollywood headquarters, to boost tourism and youths empowerment.

The candidate averred that, if elected, he would provide modern general hospitals across the 57 local governments across the state and that civil servants will be given cars and houses on long term loans agreement. He also promised to provide water transportation and decongest the Apapa Port, as part of his programme to eradicate traffic gridlock in the Lagos metropolis.

He attributed votes-buying and inducement of voters by politicians with money to the excruciating poverty in the land and the inordinate ambition by politicians to win elections at all cost. But he advised the electorates to collect the money and vote according to their conscience.

Musa also took a swipe on the two major political parties, the APC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for using public funds to organise campaign rallies. He said his campaign is not being funded by anybody. He warned the opposition to stop destroying his posters across the state.

While promising to integrate the youths and market women into his government, the ANDP chieftain contended that if elected he would retire 70 per cent of the permanent secretaries and make them commissioners. This, he said, would enhance good governance and the use of experienced technocrats to deliver his electoral promises.

On how he would defeat the major contender in the race, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC, the ANDP candidate said Lagosians were tired of propaganda and lies and they are eagerly yearning for change. He added that the APC government in Lagos State has failed the people.

He promised to run an e-government in the 57 local governments, in order to ensure effective service delivery and all-inclusive government devoid of partisanship and corrosive corruption.

Adebutu: I’m the authentic PDP candidate

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:39 AM PST

Oladipupo Adebutu
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ogun State is being torn apart by the battle for supremacy between the faction led by Bayo Dayo, who enjoys the backing of Senator Buruji Kashamu and Zikirulahi Ogundele, who belongs to the Oladipupo Adebutu camp. Following the latest court ruling, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognises Kashamu as the Ogun PDP governorship candidate. Adebutu insists that he remains the authentic candidate of the party. Group Political Editor EMMANUEL OLADESU was at the event in which Adebutu spoke to reporters in Lagos.

Oladipupo Adebutu, son of billionaire businessman, Kensington Adebutu, is undergoing a baptism of fire in politics. Last month, the national leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) proclaimed him as its Ogun State governorship candidate. But, last week, the table turned against him as the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC) recognised his rival, Senator Buruji Kashamu, as the party's flag bearer.

Adebutu rejected the list of candidates that omitted his name and substituted it with Kashamu, saying: "I am the candidate of the PDP in Ogun. Buruji is a joke."

The House of Representatives member blamed the All Progressives Congress (APC) and INEC for his ordeal. He alleged that the electoral body was influenced by the ruling party to deprive him of the ticket. To him, the confusion represents one of the challenges of democracy. He added: "The APC wants to win Ogun by all means out of desperation. Attempts have been made to lure me to defect to the APC, but I rejected it."

It appears that the aggrieved politician also has a score to settle with Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN). He said: "Osinbajo is desperate to win Ogun. He wanted me to join the APC, but I rejected it. The PDP is being targeted to weaken it."

Although INEC had explained that it was guided by court order, Adebutu rejected the explanation, saying: "INEC is an appendage of the APC. Why is INEC selectively obeying court orders in a way that can put Ogun PDP in jeopardy? INEC is a department of the APC."

The crisis in Ogun PDP is the climax of the division in the party in the last 10 years. The leadership tussle has escalated and assumed new dimensions. At the centre of the logjam are two factional party chairmen: Bayo Dayo, who enjoys the backing of Kashamu and Zikirulahi Ogundele, who belongs to the Adebutu camp.

The primary was stressful. The post-primary experience has been more stressful. Born with a silver spoon in his mouth, Adebutu should be swimming in the opulence of his illustrious father's wealth. He has worked and made money in business before joining the fray to contribute his quota. He told reporters in Lagos last weekend that he has experienced more than he bargained for in politics. "While walking now, I have to look at my back to see whether a bullet is coming. I have to be more security conscious," he said.

The party's national executive regards Adebutu as its flag bearer, because he duly obtained its nomination form and participated at the primary supervised by the leadership. The same cannot be said for Kashamu. The party suspended and later dismissed him. But, the court said the party erred. Adebutu and Kashamu have been in and out of court. Cases are still pending in court over the ticket.

However, Adebutu is hinging his case on the position of the court that it is the duty of the national leadership of the party to conduct the primary. Also, the court affirmed that when the governorship primary is not conducted by the national leadership, its outcome is null and void. "Despite these orders, INEC chose to create confusion in Ogun PDP by recognising Kashamu," he fumed.

INEC has been at the centre of nomination controversies in different states. Zamfara and Rivers APC are also complaining that the agency omitted the names of their candidates. Unless the outstanding issues are resolved, the two troubled chapters may not have flag bearers for the poll.

In respect of Ogun PDP crisis, Adebutu maintained that the electoral body is biased, adding that the non-recognition of the authentic PDP candidate was part of orchestrated plan to stifle the party's growth in the Gateway State. He wondered why INEC, which was part of the primary, withdrew recognition of his candidature. He also said the decision was in bad faith because the dissolution of the state executive committee of the party being contested by the Kashamu group has not been resolved.

Instructively, Ogundele's and Dayo's executive committees were legitimized by the court. Later, both were dissolved at the party's national convention. Since the Kashamu camp has been outlawed by the PDP, its key national leaders, Senator Modu Sheriff and Dr Cairo Ojugbo, have left for the APC. Kashamu decided to fight on. The intra-party squabbles have taken tolls on the crisis-ridden chapter.
Adebutu added: "The PDP is in trouble because people who did not buy the party's governorship form are now being recognised as its candidate. The constitution says only the PDP NEC can submit the list of candidates to INEC. APC deliberately orchestrated the crisis. INEC should have published two names for Ogun PDP based on court orders or no name at all."

Many party members are confused. The election is drawing near. Yet, the coast is not clear. Can the two factions work together at the poll? Adebutu said the interest of the party is paramount, adding that members and the entire people of Ogun State will vote for the PDP. He seemed to share the legal and partisan understanding that the electorate vote for the party and not necessarily the candidate.  Thus, he is optimistic that he will triumph at the end of the day.

Adebutu stressed: "We members of the PDP will not dismember the PDP. We will not leave our party, and we will vote for our party, and by the time we get to the Supreme Court, we will get the victory for our party."

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:35 AM PST

Georgina Onuoha
It's barely a month to the general elections in Nigeria and one of Nigeria's celebrities, Georgina Onuoha thinks a vote for the current president, Muhammadu Buhari will be a betrayal of justice, peace, equality, and freedom.

The American based actress made this known via her Instagram page on Tuesday, January 22, 2019. In her long post, she said she is surprised that we've continued to allow a bunch of uneducated, old cabal, lead us which has led the citizens of the country to the gutters.

"This is truly sad .. that he doesn't NO! And he is my president 😩😭. In a nation of almost 200 million people of different tribes that are intellectually gifted, these are the kind of men we in put in charge of the governance of our nation. I cry for my country. It is not enough to have PVC.. it is the notion that we have to pick one of the lesser evil speaks volume. Bunch of uneducated, visionless and old cabals that have driven this nation into the gutters. How any sane person, will afford Buhari a vote or let alone a second term will be a betrayal of justice,

"A man who spent over 80 percent of his current administration in London receiving treatment! Yet he finds it hard to relinquish power. They are not the problem.. we the people are the problem. We are our own worst enemy. And until we emancipate ourselves from this mental slavery, we will keep rotating old cargos with zero vision for the most populous black nation on earth," she wrote.

This is not the first time a Nigerian celebrity will be demanding that Nigerians shouldn't vote for the incumbent president. From I Go Dye to Yul Edochie and Seun Kuti, these celebrities have at one time or the other slammed the presidents plan to return to power.

Posted: 23 Jan 2019 05:26 AM PST

Ajibola Basiru
The senatorial ambition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Osun Central zone, Dr Ajibola Basiru, received a boost as members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Odo-Otin Local Government have endorsed him as their candidate for the February 16 election.

Basiru whose campaign team toured the local government was warmly received by the traditional rulers and APC members in all the communities visited.

The Ajibola Basiru Campaign Organisation (ABCO) was received by the traditional ruler of Asi-Asaba, Oba Isaac Oyewale Olasunkanmi in his palace along with his chiefs; market women and artisans were also in attendance. The monarch recalled that the former Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice played a critical role during the kingship crisis in the community.

Olasunkanmi said: "I will support a credible candidate and you (Basiru) you are one. I and my subjects have decided to vote for you. I pray that you will win the senatorial election and offer us quality representation at the red chamber."

Thereafter, APC candidate received hundreds of SDP members in Wards 9 and 14 in Asi-Asaba who declared their support for his candidacy. The SDP chairman in Ward 9, Mr Joseph Adeyemi expressed happiness over the merger of the party structures with APC in Osun State. To him, this would boost the APC fortunes in all elections in Osun State. He said the SDP members have embarked on a house-to-house campaign for Basiru and other APC candidates.

In his response, Basiru appreciated the goodwill of the traditional ruler and people of Asi-Asaba and promised to resuscitate the community's health centre which is in a deplorable condition.

At the palace of Oloyan of Oyan, Oba Kilani Adekeye Oyedare commended the humility of the APC senatorial candidate. He described Basiru as a politician with great virtues. The traditional ruler recalled Basiru's efforts towards the electrification of some neighbouring communities in Oyan.

Oyedare said Oyan has always been progressive since the era of late Chief Obafemi Awolowo. He assured Basiru that his people would vote for him. The APC candidate thanked the Oba and his subjects for the good gesture and promised them vibrant representation if elected as senator. Thereafter, Basiru received hundreds of SDP members who formerly declared for APC. They promised to vote for him.

Similarly, at Ijabe, Basiru was given a warm reception at the palace of Oba Felix Oyeniyi with his chiefs in attendance. The APC candidate for Odo-Otin State Constituency, Mr Adeyinka Adetoyi urged the people to vote for the part in order to attract development for the community.

The campaign train also moved to Igbotelele, Alapataand Ilaodo communities where party supporters, Fulani community and other well-wishers trooped out to declare support for the APC senatorial candidate.
